Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Sinking of the Lusitania – May 7, 1915
Commissar Red Rachel and her gang of commies will likely lay waste to most of the rest of Alberta that they haven’t already destroyed. That’s what the NDP does.
I remember when Dave Barrett took office in B. C. The province is still stuck with government car insurance, despite several attempts to change the system in the 40+ years since Dave and the gang were turfed out by the voters.

“In April the extent of Arctic sea ice was back to where it was in April 13 years ago. Furthermore, whereas in 2008 most of the ice was extremely thin, this year most has been at least two metres thick. The Greenland ice cap last winter increased in volume faster than at any time for years.”

“Frost possible tonight as stretch of cool weather continues”

Normally, on May 8 the normal low is about 50 and the normal is around 70 degrees, according to Accuweather.”

“Another Arctic ice panic over as world temperatures plummet”
“As for those record temperatures brought in 2016 by an exceptionally strong El Niño, the satellites now show that in recent months global temperatures have plummeted by more that 0.6 degrees: just as happened 17 years ago after a similarly strong El Niño had also made 1998 the “hottest year on record”.
This means the global temperature trend has now shown no further warming for 19 years. But the BBC won’t be telling us any of this. And we are still stuck with that insanely damaging Climate Change Act, which in this election will scarcely get a mention.”

Well he can want to save whatever, he isn’t going to win the leadership. Speaking of which I’m so fed up with the Conservative’s endless campaign. They have too many candidates who haven’t a hope in hell and don’t know enough to step aside. This leads to members getting tired and angry with being bombarded with phone calls from the various candidates. I’m telling them I’m just voting Conservative, living in Wynne’s Ontario I have no money to donate. I also have little faith in the party membership choosing the best candidate. We can only hope.

Save Alberta from champagne socialists
http://calgaryherald.com/opinion/columnists/save-alberta-from-champagne-socialists
Ah, yes, the champagne socialists…..
I met people like them during my time as a grad student at UBC. While passionately espousing their views about how capitalism is evil and that western civilization was mankind’s biggest mistake, they were often well-off themselves, smugly looking down with contempt on working class people like me.
Lotusland is filled with them and their followers, which was one reason I left the Vancouver area after a year.
Well, I agree, Alexander is not going to win this time. The promotion of French language is probably not the best strategy for a Conservative leadership race, but in his defense I would say I prefer the French/English antagonisms to the current diversity run amok. Even support for French identity can be a bulwark against radical change of our demographic landscape. Now I know Alexander also promotes bringing in immigrants. That is not a problem in and of itself. The problem is which immigrants are being brought in and what their intentions are regarding respect for Canadian values. Even Harper brought in historically high numbers of immigrants, but he was careful about managing the system.
While there is generally respect for religious tolerance among Canadians, too many Muslims represent the Islamist political agenda — to ultimately make Islam the dominant system of belief. One need only look at places where they have taken over (Lebanon comes to mind) to grasp the problem. Canadians are very naive about this and their naivety is being exploited by the Muslim-Brotherhood-friendly Liberals. That is the real danger, and I believe Alexander understands this.
AGW RIP.

“Forty Conservative Groups Urge Trump to Withdraw from Paris Climate Treaty”
“On Monday, the Competitive Enterprise Institute, the American Energy Alliance, and 38 other prominent conservative groups urged Donald Trump to withdraw from the Paris climate treaty.
The letter outlines how the Paris agreement would act contrary to President Trump’s energy agenda and does not act in the best interest of the American people.”

But without overlord control, what would be the point of taxation? No wait, I’ve got it: make provinces increase carbon taxes & collect the GST.
Take that money, fund a new white elephant government “investment bank,” complete with $26b from GST revenues. Ah, budgets balancing themselves.
Such vision, helping contractors finance building bridges and roads, because government’s way better at that, now politically correct & crony controlled.
Paralyze private enterprise, force them to get big to deal with big government, squeeze out the little guy, and feed from the trough, I mean “bank.”
I know getting the frig out of the way, and risk & reward for contractors isn’t the progressive way, but can’t we hold off the egalitarian revolution a little while to get some projects done? Maybe headquartering the bank closer to projects would be wiser? Oh, that is what you’re doing.
Unfortunately it’s our dough they’re wasting. If the whole thing goes for a crap, which it usually does, so what – they’re gambling with our money.
Then again none of them will have to fly a fighter that gets shot out of the sky by an invisible enemy, so who cares who gets hurt, those deplorables.

“The truth must be told! All European life died in Auschwitz
By Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez*
I walked down the street in Barcelona, and suddenly discovered a terrible truth – Europe died in Auschwitz.
We killed six million Jews and replaced them with 20 million Muslims. In Auschwitz we burned a culture, thought, creativity, and talent. We destroyed the chosen people, truly chosen, because they produced great and wonderful people who changed the world.”
