“Rural” in the current political identity format has become the latest pejorative for voters who don’t think or vote as their urban betters would prefer. Listen to the scorn election analysts heaped on the rural counties in Michigan and N Carolina as they desperately tried to conjure up some hope that the city count would eventually prevail. Come to think of it they are still doing that in 3 states three weeks after the vote.
Similarly in Britain the uneducated people in the outlying regions were responsible for the Brexit referendum loss, also still being fought by urban liberals.
In Ont Liberal alternate energy scams have so alienated the rural counties that Wynne’s Liberals would cease to exist as a political party except for Toronto.
But it is rural USA where the real bigotry is so openly dished out by Democrat leaders. Leaked e-mails showed them dismissing the whole (white) South as being unresponsive to their appeals; hardly surprising when your leader openly crows about shutting down coal mining in regions where that is the only work available. In all these cases urban leaders plot and scheme how to limit influence and power of rural regions, rather than try to appease and attract them with sound policies.

She even transformed blighted urban blocks into huge GREEN gardens. Every city has several blocks devoted to local sourced farming. These blocks can surely feed the tens of millions of high rise urban sophisticates.
And if Michelle Obama’s legacy garden plots can’t feed a couple hundred million hungry mouths … then I am sure some really clever techies will start a gourmet meal delivery service. Their food will be created by another start-up who will builds a Star Trek food replicator that synthesizes wholesome meals from old tires.
