I’m in Calgary and I like to point out the new Bow building. I note that for most of the last 100,000 years, where Calgary now is had been under ice. We dither back and forth a little and I usually hear that human effects are now more than they used to be. So I ask how thick the ice was compared to the height of the Bow building. 58 floors. I usually hear back “about that tall” or “halfway up”. There’s usually silence when I note that five Bow buildings, stacked on each other, with 5 Calgary towers on top of that was the height of the naturally occurring depth of ice. Most people have no concept of that much volume, and that’s the natural effects they’ve casually dismissed earlier in the discussion.
You’re also far nicer that I would be to those who actively want to starve the subsistence farmers around the world who are receiving the only form of foreign aid that we can give them that their government can’t directly steal before it gets to them: higher CO2 levels that will let them grow more food.

Great presentation. We have a Sask. Power coal plant near Coronach, Sk. On any given day, you can barely see visible emissions, however what the media does when they want to throw a wrench in the gears of coal fired pants, they display footage that was taken in sub zero weather. The visible portion of emissions coming from the stacks in freezing weather is steam, nothing else. The CBC, CTV, Radio Canada and other leftist networks use similar sub-zero footage of the COOP refinery in Regina, and other industrial facilities. I don’t believe it means anything. There is evidence that 1000 years ago the Norse circumnavigated Greenland, something that is impossible today. There are numerous historical references to sailors passing through various Arctic straights with relative ease only to return a few years later and find the same passages choked with ice. The Arctic ice is always moving, always changing.
