  2. Western Civilization is founded on two principles:
    The Golden Rule and Critical Thought.
    Critical thought requires freedom of thought and of speech. Ideas must be tested in the marketplace of ideas, exposed to scientific method and logical analysis. If it is the truth that sets us free. Then it is ignorance that enslaves us.
    “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
    That expresses the moral obligation of humans to live, work and serve others in all that we do. To be guided by the principle of brotherly love. The quality of what we accomplish and produce enhances the quality of life of all.
    Easter is a reminder of that moral obligation. Sometimes it may be a heavy one.

Today’s “college” students, er … Affirmative-action/socially-promoted half wits … Scream like colicky infants AGAINST free speech. You see, Mario’s protest was never about free speech … it was about HIS speech. The LEFT’s speech.
    Next step for the fascist LEFT … ? Declare the First Amendment null + void for ALL speech not certified by the LEFT. Replace the US Constitution with Mao’s Little Red Book.

  10. There is no end to it. I watched the news last night . You see ,the war on drugs is a failure that is a direct correlation to the shortened lifespan of addicts and dealers. If they just access to safe needles and all the drugs they wanted , well , apparently they would lead fruitful long lives. Next news , an atheist feels it is unfair she would not be allowed to continue to be the minister in the United church . 1/2 way through the next move was the off switch . I am glad for people who find comfort in the faith , I do not particularly care for organized religion , but this is just bizarre.The worst part is appears 60 to 70 percent of people appear to be buying into this B. S.

The expressions ‘critical thought’ and ‘critical reasoning’ could once be used unambiguously to mean what you mean by them: logic, the science of reasoning, or simply rationality. Those days are gone. When your university assures you that they teach critical thinking in all their courses they undoubtedly mean that they teach Critical Theory in all their courses—only a slight exaggeration. Critical Theory is Cultural Marxism. The only courses that teach the study of logic are courses taught by philosophers. They, for obvious reasons, are a disappearing breed on our campuses.

I guess he doesn’t know that those aberrant philosophies he lists are on the atheist side not the Christian side and that those self same philosophies were in large part an attempt by atheists to replace Christianity as the foundational belief system of modern society.

We’ve been sitting back watching and allowing the socialist creep to become full blown, It began in our schools at least two decades ago,only difference now is it’s starting in kindergarten and running full bore through the halls of higher learning where the products of that disease are feeding it.

Back in the day when I was in high school, early Sixties, I had an argument with a certain history teacher when I pointed out that I didn’t think that the National Socialist party in Germany of the Thirties was a right wing party as he maintained. End result C- for history that year. Therein lies the problem, the present day so-called intelligentsia, have allowed themselves to be brain-washed by our education system. As many have pointed out here in the past black is now white. The system is now thoroughly corrupt and the Western leaders of tomorrow have nothing but a community organizer and a part time drama teacher as examples to follow. There isn’t a word in Webster’s to describe the revulsion I feel for what Western society has become under these so-called educated leaders.

These are the sounds of the goose stepping jack-boots of political correctness echoing throughout the dystopian progressive factories of socialized “education” – feeding the guild socialism of the job market. Advanced welfare states where once free-born citizens now out-source their adult responsibilities to the state, particularly in the education of their own children, eventually reap what they sow. Most of what comprises the knowledge gained from a university degree could be gained at almost no cost from the internet and or a good library. Guild socialism doesn’t recognize “education” unaccompanied by letters, forcing children to be exposed to the institutionally progressive waste of time and money masquerading as higher education.

  23. I tip my cap to you for speaking out … I was too clever and too cowardly to correct my instructors. Nope, I just laughed (silently) at their attempted indoctrination … I regurgitated their “academic” pablum right back into their faces (on my typed-single spaced reports) … and got straight A’s in history, and political science. But their “teaching” only made me all the more aware of the malignancy of their ideology. I suppose only the intellectually-challenged students were influenced by these instructors … which is evident by the look of the agitprop group in Chicago at the Trump rally.

    Hitler was named “Man of the Year” in 1938 by Time Magazine. They noted Hitler’s anti-capitalistic economic policies:

    Give addicts free morphine, all they want, as often as they want it. Use multi-use jet gun injectors, no needles. Many addicts will OD and get out of the health care queue for good, making room for people who can be cured. For most addicts the obscene cost of their habit gives them no other option but crime to pay for it. If they didn’t need to be part of the criminal society to feed their addiction, they just might get their lives back on track. The savings in health care and social services would more than pay for it. It’s a cheap solution to the problem.
    The people who benefit most from the WOD are crime lords and their lap-dog politicians, as well as the whole just-us bizness.
