Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

"The New York Times link to me yesterday [...] generated one-fifth of the traffic I normally get from a link from Small Dead Animals." - Kathy Shaidle
"You may be a nasty right winger, but you're not nasty all the time!" - Warren Kinsella
"Go back to collecting your welfare livelihood." - Michael E. Zilkowsky
All of the top-rated comments on that story have been deleted. Why?
Now that the Govt. of Canada has reverted back to Liberal Socialists and Alberta has become Comu.- Socialist all the left and far left wet dream programs are comming to the top of the “Agenda”.
When B C had its turns with the economic destroyers all these same programs were in the news constantly.
From a previous post about the Canadian Youth for climate mongering, the educators in school and University’s must be so proud to send these young people out into the world not knowing their agenda is to destroy the economic system as we know it.
“…The Treasury Board — the government department that negotiates with the union — didn’t say whether it was aware of the definition of “aboriginal spirit friends,” but affirmed its commitment to negotiating “in good faith” with the unions. …”
I wish the Treasury Board were as committed to negotiating in good faith on behalf of the people of Canada.
The only worthwhile thing in his bio is that he was a Scout leader for a period of time, although without knowing if his charges were ever checked for STDs, I can’t say for sure.
Well that explains everything.
It was a ‘spirit friend’ who told him to straighten out those farmers and their dangerous work places.
“spirit friend”, is he/she/it related to one of the three, the holy ghost, who is kinda spiritual :-)))
Rather than a heavy hitter, Minister McCormick’s bio suggests a profile
more in keeping with a sacrificial goat once the chickens really start to
come home to roost a few years hence and the SHTF in enormous amounts.
I think “Spirit Friend” is a bottle of Jaimeson’s.
So, they want ten days a year for hangovers.
Alberta, for next 4 is in serious trouble.
Wingnuts and individuals who have never, by and large, held meaningful, productive, answerable, and “productive” jobs, or written a paycheque or government remittance cheque, now govern the province.
The province that by and large propped up Canada’s economy, subsidized the social experiment, in Eastern Canada. It now ends, the “Goose” is cooked.
Can’t believe this minister came from a “work ethic” family, and now drinks the socialist Kool Aid. But, these folks are out there, and one never knows.
Moved from Val Marie, a hard times, hard working, and ag based area, to Edmonton. Heart of “something for nothing”, and “equality” for all country. Not a surprise he is who he is, but, sad he turned his back on where/what he was raised with.
Left Sask no doubt when NDP was doomed, headed to greener and more “fertile” pastures. NDP philosophy is a cancer, pops up in many and unexpected places.
No loss in Sask, unfortunate Alta is where he landed. Better he was in Europe/ Russia wher true benefits (sarc) of history are in place and fact.
Ooooooh Boy, going to be ugly folks, they are rolling, and many negative policies yet to roll out.
Majority is key word, they WILL use it, head for hills and trenches, going to be ugly.
Sad, but true, true, my opinion.
‘Mr. Carlier attended the Labour College of Canada, receiving his certificate in 1997’
And Thank God for that. Can you imagine what a poor cabinet member Carlier would be without that certificate?
Just another worse-than-useless union turd.
Oh well, he’ll be as happy as a dog sniffin’ arseholes with his federal counterpart.
I don’t imagine there’ll be any objection from the farm groups either.
OT:
Trump calls for a ban on Muslim immigration.

Exactly! Can you just imagine all the anti free enterprise policy they will be able to dream up together. All the while smokin up weed on Spirit Friends day.
He probably thinks the province would be better served by turning all the land over to the Indians. Except, of course, that owned by himself and fellow lefties.
“Minister McCormick’s bio”…
Um, hello? I drive a fuel truck during the day and have been known to take pictures for $$$ occasionally. I’d like to think I’m too honest for govt work.
I looked up the details for that certificate Minister McCormick took. It certainly sounds like something any self-respecting unionista would want to include on his resume. Here’s the course description:
‘Open to any member of a union affiliated to the CLC who is eighteen years of age or over (regardless of prior educational experience), this three-credit university-level course introduces students to labour history, labour sociology, the politics and economics of labour, and labour law. There are four written assignments in the course but no tests or examinations.’
I don’t know about you, but I’m sure impressed!!
Mickey Mouse, anyone?
Flagellant Alberta. They have allowed themselves to be tied up with magical chains.
It’s probably nothing:

At least the professional welfare cases are ecstatic with the NDP.
Right up there with Rocks for jocks, geology for physed students
The whole cabinet are light weighs , teachers , social justice and Union types , going to look like Kim Campbell’s fought election results in 1250 days
Knothead Sr. (Grant) also grew up on a farm.
Obviously their mommies only made them watch them gather the eggs. They are completely clueless about farming.
proof of my contention that unions have long passed their usefulness and are in fact merely another indistinguishable greedy player in the grab grab grab mode of finance.
if this was 1915, sure, we really needed them when the ‘work week’ was 60 hours of hard slogging in a factory with no benefits.
not now.
fcuk em.
p.s. todays tech tip: if the captcha is a bunch of wavy letters, just refresh the page, not just the captcha. it will revert back to easy numbers.
Not just phys ed students: was for any arts students who had to take a “science” course. Couldn’t let the poor dears face the horror of having to put in time in the lab, let alone have classmates who were actually interested in the subject. Geology majors, on the other hand, didn’t get the luxury of designer courses, but were out there taking English, linguistics, etc., along with the arts majors.
So when non-native Public Servants take time off to grieve for aboriginal spirit friends are they not engaging in a micro-aggression by cultural appropriation. I think this needs to be pointed out to these racist bastards.
The NDP uses union hacks for all positions because that’s mostly what they are. When they were in power in BC, people with no relevant qualifications other than their relationships with unions which is what determined their standing from nomination through to cabinet appointments.
All Raiche has to do is take a page from the Ontario Government handbook that addresses how to deal with grumbling and discord in the country: spread around a bit of tax-payer’s largesse.
“I looked up the details for that certificate Minister McCormick took”
Folks? There’s no ‘Minister McCormick’. The fellow’s name is Oneil Carlier. A little more reading comprehension would be a good thing!
Hey, haven’t we gotten the message from our Dear Leader that we are a “Treaty People” committed to dealing with the almost 650 “First Nations” on a “nation-to-nation” basis? Thus, we would have to allow each Canadian bantustan to define “spirit friends” according to traditions that may go as far back as February.
My brother’s comment regarding the Ag Minister’s lack of relevant experience:
“Maybe he’s grown a lot of pot.”
Spirit friends should allow the First Nations to take the rest of the year off
