… a new Dartmouth-led study shows that degrading satellite sensors, not soot or dust, are responsible for the apparent decline in reflectivity of inland ice across northern Greenland. The study’s results suggest the ice sheet hasn’t lost as much reflectivity as previously thought, and that black carbon and dust concentrations haven’t increased significantly and are thus not responsible for darkening on the upper ice sheet.

degrading satellite sensors,
–
The ‘absolute truth, settled Climate scientists’ shall now tell us the reason satellites have shown absolutely, no/none Global Warming for 15 years, is because the satellites sensors have degraded.
Key phrases in the Dartmouth Study…
The Terra mission, launched in December 1999, and the Aqua mission, launched in 2002, (designed to collect data for 15 years.)
The study’s findings-
(don’t apply to the ice sheet’s lower elevations,)
where surface melting, soot and dust result in more pronounced declines in reflective and where warmer temperatures may promote algae growth that further erodes reflectivity.
Sure they threw one of their own under the global warming bus,
But the climate bus wheels- go round and round- go round and round, and keep on turning, keep on churning out climate change lies.
They make up Shlt as needed..
These people are incompetent. Any observational work MUST include periodic calibration and recalibration (and NO, GODdamn it, these are real words for real and important steps in experimental work, and not something cooked up by GOD DAMN POLITICAL MORONS!).
My apologies for shouting but people who don’t check their calibrations need to be FIRED!
There I go again.
John……they need to be calibrated, but I don’t think you and I are thinking about the same kind! :):)
“calibration and recalibration”
would ADJUSMENT suffice???
