    maybe you’re referring to the hero worship syndrome. closely related to emperor’s new clothes syndrome. are we to take it then that you assert there is no such thing as hero worship? happens all the time in sports!!! goggle ‘Pete Rose’ for just 1 example. or maybe you dispute the *consequences* of hero worship, in which case you need to do a LOT of ‘homework’ to familiarize yerself with the lessons of history.

  9. Iran is a sovereign state and is perfectly free to develop a nuclear arsenal if it so chooses. Obviously, there will be international consequences but any state will weigh those in the balance of advantages versus disadvantages.
    Iran sees that the US, Russia, China, France, the UK, India, Pakistan and Israel have the bomb. They’ve long ago surmised no one other than Israel is likely to take any real “direct action” to stop them, so why not proceed?

  14. sayitaintso – Thinly veiled tedium vilifying “mercuns” is your message I’d say. Fumbling a “grade school level scheme” across a number of political administrations is hardly proof as to your equally culpable assertion. The scheme, having its origin during the Clinton years, for obvious reasons, assigns the major blame toward Clinton. You mentioned Bush “later endorsed the plan” so tell us, other than confessing the plot to the Iranians, what other options were available? Additionally, criticism as to the viability of the scheme is certainly warranted, as all things are in retrospect, but its intent, unless you subscribe to some inexplicable conspiracy theory, such as that of NME666 above, was inarguably to derail nuclear capabilities for Iran.
    Another thing, it’s laughable that you make the grand leap by the accusation of “hero worship” of Dubya. To this day I’ve never heard anything approaching that sentiment by anyone. People may defend him against a rogue like Clinton, or the pretend-wise-man Obama, but hero worship, I don’t think so.

  15. Good to finally see more revealed as to how much the US has not only enabled the Muslim world with its misguided foreign policy but has now left a power vacuum in the Middle East.
    Breaking news today has Iraq saying thanks, but no thanks to US announcement that they want to put more boots on the ground.
    “We have enough soldiers” is the statement I saw.
    So, now that Putin has stepped in to help, the US goes to its historical position of coming in on a mop-up operation and then taking the credit for all the sacrifices of those who have done the dirty work before them.
    Looks good on Obama that even Iraq is now telling him to piss off.

  18. In explicable conspiracy theory, you are a hoot sonny boy. I started out my research many years ago as a lone wolf believer. After buying about 20 books and reading many more, all seamed to conflict with one another, I realized that there was a lot more than met the eye. With several confessions, 2 death bed ones, and even more admitions I hardly think that theory covers it. But this a great example of how well many in are “informed”. But lets just look at 2 things, one Johnson said to his biographer the HLO did NOT act alone, two, the only black man in Kennedy’s SS detail was framed and jailed before he could testify before the 77-78 house select comity. Just 2-3 years ago he was still trying to clear his name. What did they not want him to say, that there was a similar plot 3 weeks earlier to be executed at a Chicago sporting event. I my never so humble opinion, your credibility sucks!!!
