  1. chortle chortle.
by the way, how is the process of putting 98% of the wealth of the world in the hands of 0.001% of the population, how is that coming along?
the famous middle class just got added to the list of endangered species thanks to ALL politicians who have EVER passed legislation.
propaganda. what an intriguing thing. the truth really is quite malleable.
like the one where leftist never get anything right, and the ‘right wing’ is always ‘right’.
hero worship. hockey players, business leaders. and politicians who still cant get it ‘right’ after making laws for what, 150+ years in Canuckistan. . . . .

  2. With election day fast approaching I have come to the conclusion that, in the event of a apocalyptic victory by the Liberals, it will be due entirely to Harper Derangement Syndrome. To ignore the country’s economic fortunes, lower taxes and the government’s will to protect Canadians from terrorists and cast a ballot in favour of the Liberals (or NDP) defies logic. Both opposition parties have woefully inadequate leaders making outrageous promises that any sane person would rightfully dismiss outright. When Harper takes a stand on the niqab issue, which resonates strongly with Canadians, rather than being commended for listening to the rank and file citizenry, he is condemned as being “devisive”.
As a perfect example of HDS, a caller on a local radio talk show today bitterly compared Harper to Donald Trump. Donald Trump!! I could use many adjectives to describe Stephen Harper. Flamboyant and outspoken certainly do not come to mind.
With the apparent meltdown of the NDP one doesn’t need much of an imagination to know where those votes are going. Relegating the NDP to third place where they belong does have its drawbacks. It is therefore imperative for ALL Conservatives to get out and vote even if they have to walk barefoot through snowdrifts. Harper Derangement Syndrome is a formidable affliction but it can be overcome.

  3. A “protestor” tried to attack PM Harper at a rally today and on the CBC website the forum commenters are spending their time trying to laugh it off or to blame the PM for the attack. I’m close to giving up on hoping that any kind of civilized debate or behaviour can be had with today’s leftists. They are thugs, pure and simple.

  4. biffjr: Please–let’s not come to quick conclusions.
Mainstreet Technologies inc. have Harper running at 37%,, with Trudeau at 29% and the NDP at 24%. I’ve watched them in recent elections, they are extremely accurate! The reason being that they poll 5000+ individuals before making their decision.
    http://www.mainstreetresearch.ca/conservatives-lead-as-ndp-slips/
It’s very easy to publish polls that show Trudeau in the lead. (IE: Nanos CTV) All one has to do is poll in a Liberal region. I’m confident that Harper is close to majority.

  5. Agreed.
Nanos does not poll evenly, rather in urban areas. As I stated yesterday, his numbers for BC do not make sense based on vote distribution from the past decades. He shows the Liberals in the lead in BC, nothing could be further from the truth. The Liberals are still despised here, except by the LIVs, thank you PeeAir.
A CPC majority, might drive leftists into the streets demanding a junta, to oust a duly elected government, because “its getting late” and other such nonsense. We will really have to watch out for the enviroNUTTERS who think the world will end tomorrow unless we let the UN dictate how we should live.
By the bye, my wife has lost a Faceplant friend over this election, with her HDS rantings, and her 68 year old infatuation with Dauphin. And yes, she’s a transplanted Ottawan. Figures, damn easterners. Literally, everything is Harrrrrrpurrrrr’s fault.

  6. I was at the rally where the attacker got within about 6ft of harper. There were three who infiltrated the event (security seemed to have a bead on a 4th)
The first was a guy who got up in the background with a “Climate Justice” sign
The second was the attacker who got close. Ironically Harper was talking about security and the world being a dangerous place when it occurred. When the dust settled Harper didn’t miss a beat and commented that it was far more dangerous than this
Third was a woman who stood up in the audience and started to read off some sort of statement. Security at this point quickly removed her. Harper got a great laugh when he commented “you know they are worried when they start showing up at your rally’s instead of going to their own”
Overall Harper was sharp and on his game.

  7. Accept the agenda, or else.
” Council has voted on a new program that will make on-site recycling mandatory.
Companies who ignore the rules, and toss recyclables in the garbage will have to pay $170 per tonne for items found headed to the landfill. ”
    http://globalnews.ca/news/2267246/city-of-calgary-approves-recycling-fine-for-businesses/
This is Calgary, not Toronto or Quebec.
    It raises many questions.
If you don’t pay your fine, will your business license be pulled ?
Will you go to jail ?
Will the city shame your business?
Who sorts and weighs your illicit trash ?
How much will that cost ?
When will Nenshi run for premier ?

  9. Are you sure the committee that thought this didn’t ask “How do we extract more money from businesses for redistributive purposes?” when they got together to come up with this?

  10. Who ” put the wealth in the hands of the 0.001%”? I think you will find that there was no plan. They just kind of went out and created it. If they hadn’t created it we would still be living in caves. The middle class was an historical anomaly caused by a shortage of labour and a world destroyed by war that needed to be rebuilt. When you have nothing to offer the world and there is no shortage of cheap labour, no one is going to pay you just because you exist. You have to offer the world more than your mere existence to thrive.

  11. So much for all those Justin supporters looking for more “positive” politics. Some leftist posting at the Globe threatened civil unrest if Harper gets in again. These people are nuts. More nuttiness: presumably La Presse endorsed Justin because he is such a positive guy and does not like divisive politics. Yet it is the left that insists on seeing everything Harper does in the worst possible light — like the latest news re a temporary review in June of the Syrian immigration situation. Harper is intelligent, diligent and thoughtful. It is the left (abetted by Liberals) who do not tolerate alternative views and who have bred angry divisive politics in this country. Do not fall for their shallow deception.

  12. Speaking of no shortage of cheap labour…a href=”http://www.breitbart.com/london/2015/10/08/refugee-charity-stops-aid-to-calais-because-97-are-men-with-no-real-reason-to-be-there/” rel=”nofollow”>Say hello to your new neighbours

  13. A liberal is the kind of person who sees a Wet Paint sign and puts their hand on the area the tour a farm see a pile of mink bottles and says LOOK A COWS NEST beleives some should have their right to tresspass on your property break into your home and steal everything thats not nailed down(Just like in the Euroweenie Union)and beleive animals have the same rights as people and they should be allowed to sue you in court(Cass Sunstiens this kind of idiot)and thinks the U.S. Constitution is outdated and needs to be replaced with one that grants what i mentioned above becuase most liberals dont realy think just shoot off their pieholes

“A week into Russia’s military intervention in Syria, some top White House advisers and National Security Council staffers are trying to persuade President Barack Obama to scale back U.S. engagement there, to focus on lessening the violence and, for now, to give up on toppling the Syrian regime.
In addition, administration officials and Middle East experts on both sides of the debate tell us, Obama’s foreign-policy team no longer doubts that Russian President Vladimir Putin intends to prop up President Bashar al-Assad and primarily target opposition groups other than the Islamic State, including those trained by the Central Intelligence Agency.
The administration came to this conclusion late.”

  16. Wall Street Journal (paywall):
BERLIN—Political backlash against German chancellor Angela Merkel intensified on Friday as her most conservative ally threatened to take the government to court if it doesn’t adopt measures to limit the flow of migrants into Germany.
As the number of migrants flocking to Germany has continued to swell, Ms. Merkel’s open-arms policy has exposed a widening rift inside the government over how to tackle the biggest migrant tide Germany has witnessed since WWII.
Ms. Merkel has come under fire from Horst Seehofer, prime minister of Bavaria and chairman of the Christian Social Union, the most conservative ally of Ms. Merkel’s ruling coalition.
Mr. Seehofer has repeatedly lashed out at Ms. Merkel since her decision in early September to let migrants stranded in Hungary travel to Germany.
    […]
In an hour-long television interview on Wednesday, Ms. Merkel defended her open-arms policy and rejected critics’ demands to set a limit to migrant numbers.
“How should it work?,” Ms. Merkel responded when asked if Germany needed to set a limit to how many migrants should come here. “You can’t close the border and we saw in Hungary what happens when you set up a fence.”

  17. “Europe Riots: Mass Outrage Over Mass Immigration
Europeans are fed up, demand end to mass immigration from Middle East.”
“Hundreds of thousands of self-proclaimed refugees from the Middle East (many of them are actually gold diggers who are coming to Europa in order to live off the government’s dime) have arrived in Europe in recent months. This mass exodus out of especially Syria has been partially fueled by German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s promise that her country would take in all the refugees it had to take in.
The only problem? She got more than she bargained for. Much more. And the same goes for the rest of Europe.
In fact, so many “refugees” have made their way to the Old Continent that West European governments are having a hard time dealing with them.”

“The truth must be told! All European life died in Auschwitz
    By Sebastian Vilar Rodrigez
I walked down the street in Barcelona, and suddenly discovered a terrible truth – Europe died in Auschwitz.
We killed six million Jews and replaced them with 20 million Muslims. In Auschwitz we burned a culture, thought, creativity, and talent. We destroyed the chosen people, truly chosen, because they produced great and wonderful people who changed the world.”
