Any interface with police these days is potentially deadly. They have been so wired up with the paranoid bleating of their superiors. their militarization and subsequent siege mentality and the anti-cop rhetoric from leftwing race baiting politicians, they’re ready to shoot at any fast move or sound.
This kid is a victim of police militarization conditioning and the tension cops are under with all the scape-goating of police for failed racial policies.
It’s not just the pathetic press – look at the public’s wailing and gnashing over Cecil. It doesn’t give a shit about people either. Practically all of the sentiment on display these days is the phony, childish variety.
I agree. In my lifetime, I have witnessed policing change from a general policy of “to protect and serve” to more of a “to protect ourselves” mentality. They are trained so hard to maintain a safe environment for themselves that the public is now put in greater potential jeopardy.
Two other points….
The stress politicians have put on our police forces by making them the front line for dealing with the mentally ill and addicts of our society has taken it’s toll on them.
I wonder if any black leader anywhere has advised the youth they claim to speak for NOT to resist arrest and fight with police when they are caught committing a crime? Sorry, stupid question.
People on the right missed a wonderful opportunity when the #BlackLivesMatter hashtag first started up. What would have happened if EVERY killing of a young black man was tweeted, including those killed by other young black men?
Instead, we just accepted the narrative and let the left frame the issue.

As to cops getting worst now a daz, not so much. Many cops have attitude problems before they are hired, it just that now the management over site has been nullified because of PC.
