Can they use those donations to pay back the gov’t for their illegal spending? or would the money have to be raised another way?

Looks to me as if somebody mis-spelled “government found wanting”.
This comes from decades of anti-conservative brainwashing in our media and universities.
If the NDP refuse to pay us back the millions they “misspent” on satellite offices in Quebec, will we have the media all over them as they’re led away in chains a la former Conservative MP Dean Del Mastro?
For that matter would any Liberal MP or senator be paraded out in leg and wrist chains? This man did not kill anyone and isn’t a threat to run so this is plain political gamesmanship by authorities and they should be sued. Most disgusting spectacle and it should backfire big time.

I don’t see droves of teens and college kids putting down the bong to go vote dipper. It’s not happening. There are no untapped dipper voters out there.
A few years ago on these threads I was predicting an Obamaesque movement by Team Trudeau. He seemed to have the party and media support to do that. Two years of his preening in front of the cameras unabated allowed the luster to wear off. And his organizational backers just don’t seem to have been capable of generating Obamaesque fundraising and he started to flounder. Could be that he was too unpredictable, even for the puppet string pullers of the INGOs (International Nondemocratic Government-loving Organizations). Angry Tom is more dependable that way and now the NDP is surging, and it appears they do have the organizational backers: the Unions and INGO hired guns who can get the sustained media help.
Six months ago I would have said we were ready to elect an NDP government federally. But, I’ve seen how gullible people are in Alberta and I doubt the rest of Canada is less gullible. So get ready for the bid spend!

p.s. A small sliver of hope is that we still have 3+ months to vet these NDP, not like the Alberta group who so few thought would get elected even when the polls showed them surging in the election campaign.

So we have a choice between a silver spoon socialist with daddies arrogance and mommies brains, an angry socialist wannabe Marxist and a current Prime Minister who has given us 8 years of sensible economics and responsible government. Gee I don t know what to do.
