  1. The traitor class at play folks…invest in hemp and lamp pole manufacturers.

  2. There’s no end to their perfidy. Did anyone notice that David Suzuki used CBC airtime (on Q) to denigrate Rex Murphy–for not being convinced of global warming? A class act, that Dr. D., well qualified to be a FOTCBC (friend of the CBC).

  3. Canadians cannot be trusted with the truth. They might come to the wrong conclusion.

  4. Can’t believe Canadians would put their hard earned tax monies into a Socialist broadcast system.
    Oh, Wait! Never-mind,
forgot about our own low information democrat voter controlled Public Broadcasting.

But at least we have Big Bird..

  5. Not sure if we’re talking apples to apples here. I get a sense from the AZ column that they have an interview with Khadr showing on June 7. The interview that showed last night (Thursday) was co-produced by CBC and Pine production (if memory serves.) The CBC tale is called ‘Out of the shadows’ while the AZ tale is Guantanamo’s Child. or is ‘Pine Productions’ just a alias for AZ.
I dunno. Maybe the same thing, maybe not?

  6. Ezra,
Do you always pose questions you already know the answer to just to make crystal clear your point? Just a minute, think I know the answer to that question.

  7. The article, as written is the usual politically correct bullship, but the comment section is priceless.

  8. And just think Harper had the chance to get rid of this scum sucking parasite. CBC

  9. The big picture should be that it is reprehensible that the tax payer funded CBC partnered with terrorist supporters for a propaganda piece.

  10. Yeah, that page you linked to? 404’d (again) due to multiple updates and patches applied.
    Someone’s covering their butt.

  11. Doesn’t this seem like the kind of thing CSIS ought to be interested in?
CBC, the national broadcaster, doing deals with terrorist nation-linked Al Jazeera while Canadian troops are deployed fighting those terrorist nations, to lionize a caught-and-convicted Canadian illegal combatant/terrorist, Little Omar.
I’d be looking into it, if it were me. Smoke, may be some fire right?
In fact, I’d be -noisily- looking into it and turning CBC headquarters upside down just to serve notice on them. Process = punishment is not just for private citizens and Conservatives.
    Just sayin’.

  12. Most Canadian care little about what this war criminal says or does.
The CBC is jumping the shark here, along with the rest of progressivia with their anti-Harper malevolence, because few Canadians actually share their delusional hatred of all things Harper/CPC. EKOS/Frank Graves just released another poll that purported Canadians are apparently “warming to a coalition” with either Mulcair or Trudeau with the question starting “if you were forced to choose.” There’s precision, or should I say push polling.
Unfortunately for them, even now the percentage who aren’t “warming to a coalition” are more than enough for a Tory majority, well before the Grits and NDP are force to defend/cost their promises.
This is a big mistake on the part of the left in this country, making Khadr a poster boy, rubbing Canadians noses in Islamism. This will not go well for them because it makes no sense to prop up this twit, who has only contempt for Canada and its citizens. If voters get the impression, even a hint, that Harper hatred extends to them personally (especially if he plays it) that they are bigoted, or too greedy, or intolerant – watch all hell break loose with a slap back to the progressives by the voters.
No, voters are not being forced to choose, that’s a progressive meme. The idea of strategic voting has never taken hold, not on the right or the left. In fact, many Canadians might resent being “forced to choose.” They may decide to just go ahead and “choose” Harper and the Tories.
Thinking all NDP and Liberal announced voters share the basement dweller visceral, irrational and deluded hatred of the Tories and Harper is a big error in judgment, but try they will. IOW for them – SNAFU.

  13. Just sent this to the CBC Ombudsman:
On the CBC Newsworld morning news I watched as they gave multiple plugs for the new documentary “Omar Khadr – Out of the Shadows” in which they stated that it was (as it says on the Doc Zone webpage):
“Directed by Patrick Reed and co-directed by the Toronto Star journalist Michelle Shephard, Omar Khadr: Out of the Shadows is a White Pine Pictures production in association with the CBC.”
Meanwhile, on the Al Jazeera website there is a news story about an upcoming documentary on Omar Khadr that they will be running. At the bottom of the piece it says:
“The interview was part of a documentary called Guantanamo’s Child – Omar Khadr, a collaboration between Al Jazeera and the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, which airs on Al Jazeera English on June 7.”
The interview they mention is quite clearly the same one that is featured in the CBC’s “Omar Khadr – Out of the Shadows”
But then, on the CBC Media Centre Press Release webpage it says the following:
“OMAR KHADR: OUT OF THE SHADOWS is produced by White Pine Pictures in association with CBC, Radio-Canada, Al Jazeera English, Al Jazeera Arabic, Al Jazeera America, and with the participation of Shaw Media Hot Docs Development Fund, Canada Media Fund, and the Ontario Media Development Corporation.”
To me it is unconscionably dishonest for CBC Newsworld to fail to include Al Jazeera Canada, Al Jazeera America, and Al Jazeera Arabic in it’s credits for, and in ongoing promotion of the documentary. I believe that the only way to properly rectify this is for them make an on air apology, and a full disclosure of all of the parties involved in the production of both of these documentaries. If indeed the documentaries are in fact different. Given the dishonesty I have seen, it would not surprise me that there was a ham-handed attempt to re-brand the same documentary for the purpose of giving the CBC cover for what amounts to a propaganda piece.

  14. Way to go.
Good luck with getting a straight answer from them.
I have found over the years that the ombudsman’s main purpose is to run interference against the few uppity viewers that dare question Canada’s National Broadcaster.

  15. *
go to cbc and search consecutively the terms “mike duffy” and one time mcguinty deputy minister and kathleen wynne colleague “bejamin levin”.
despite levin being sentenced to 3 years in jail for child pornography, see who is worthy of the larger 24/7 coverage.
