  1. top headline at CBCpravda . quelle surprise.
at least they updated their photo instead of his 12 year old grade 7 picture.
back on the gravy train like the bag ladies his sisters and mother.

  2. Thank you Harper for accepting to bring little Omar back to Canada instead of telling Obama to go f**k himself. There was nothing forcing Harper to accept the transfer. Obama wanted to close Guantanamo and Stevie wanted to help him look good. That is all there is to this. It is really embarrassing to see the lengths to which Stevie will go so that Obama will like him.
But after the Keystone XL rebuff, the joke is on Stevie.

  3. I have e-mailed a recommendation to his faithful lawyer that Omar settle in small-town Saskatchewan to keep him away from the elements that started this entire modern day tragedy.
I was thinking our Little Omar could cleanse his spirit in Nokomis or Quill Lake or Elbow or Delisle or Kamsack or Wawota or Broadview, anywhere but evil jihadi-ridden Toronto.
Can’t wait to see the fawning interview on The People’s Network once he’s out. Now,who should do it? Mansbridge,Evan, Lang?
The almost guaranteed winning lawsuit for ,oh, hmmmm, $10 million, should be filed within a few weeks.
If Justin becomes PM, he’ll double the amount for Canada’s Most Unfortunate Teenager.

  4. No. I think little Omar should settle in 24 Sussex. After all it was Stevie who wanted to bring him here.

  5. Bail, eh? Must be Canada.
You know, stuff like this is proof that there’s no such things as ghosts. Imagine the freakin’ poltergeist action there’d be going on right now if there were. Talk about your restless spirits.

  6. I see all the usual “child soldier victim” crowd are busy filling the comments over at the CBC site. Interesting to post the photo of Khadr holding severed limbs from one of his victims and grinning while doing so; this made the net a few years ago.
Also interesting is how Khadr reversed the aging process, becoming a “child soldier” only after 2006; previously under 2 Liberal PMs and Justice Minister Irwin Cotler. Khadr was essentially a non-person. Altogether 3 PMs and 2 Presidents agreed that he would stand trial for murder and terrorism charges, which he has admitted to.

  7. He didn’t really meet the UN definition of child soldier at the time. It was younger than 15 and even today countries are only discouraged from recruiting young soldiers, not prohibited. Khadr’s problem is that he wasn’t a soldier. If he was a soldier he wouldn’t have been tried. He was a murdering criminal terrorist. Probably still is as he refuses to come to grips with his past.

  8. Khadr’s lawyer says that He’s ‘fortunate to be in Canada where there are laws’.
Unfortunately, for Khadr, we know that he doesn’t recognize any law but Shariah Law.
    Death to jihadists.

  9. I know someone working on this case for the government.
Said getting Judge June Ross was very unfortunate for their case. She’s an ideological activist judge who’s just looking for excuses to “liberalize” the system.

  10. I like Kate’s tweets ….. to the main points directly. If it were me I would have suggested a 65 grain pill on the battle field as a remedy for his symptoms, ringing in the ears and severe headache suffered from a grenade explosion nearby.

Oh that’s going to hurt, who did they set on fire now?
    Liar, liar pants on fire…

Over the desert wild and free
Rides the bold Sheik of Araby
His Arab band at his command
    Follows his love’s caravan
Under the shadow of the palms
He sings to call her to his arms
I’m the Sheik of Araby, (with no pants on)
    Your love belongs to me.
    At night when you’re asleep,
    Into your tent I’ll creep.
    The stars that shine above
Will light our way to love.
You’ll rule this land with me,
    The Sheik of Araby.
While the stars are fading in the dawn
Over the desert they’ll be gone
His captured bride close by his side
Swift as the wind they will ride
Proudly he scorns her smile or tear
Soon he will CONQUER LOVE BY FEAR.
    I’m the Sheik of Araby,
    Your love belongs to me.
    At night when you’re asleep,
    Into your tent I’ll creep.
    The stars that shine above
Will light our way to love.
You’ll rule this land with me,

  12. Well fine. If he goes on the lam, the judge should be removed and his lawyer/team disbarred. I personally think we’re letting a dangerous offender go free. I am sure he is still totally committed to the jihadi violence. We will see.

  13. He should have been tried in Afghanistan under Sharia law and had his sentence for murder given quickly and mercifully.

  14. Sometimes when you are faced with the kind of hatred that kills a medic while he is trying to save a life you think that the hater needs to have some of that hatred vented. A 7.62 round betwixt the lookers should have done the trick

  15. Can this headline be far in our future?: Prime Minister Justyn Trudeau appoints Omar Khadr Canadian Ambassador to Isis.

  16. Khadr should have rolled to his rifle, blown out his brains and gone to his gawd like a soldier. Rudyard Kipling.

  17. He killed Christopher Speir and now he is allowed to walk.
    Unbelievable.
I don’t think anyone ever planned on mounting a serious defense against him.
He should have been shot in Afghanistan.

  18. She’s a howling mongrel chained to her dogma and has no idea how stunningly stupid her remarks are and how totally unhinged from reality they truly be. Subconsciously, this type of person is just begging to be beaten into oppression. That’s what they really long for.

  19. It says that he will be held until May 5 which, by coincidence is Election Day, here in Alberta. So the Alberta NDP could go ahead and add his name to the ballot somewhere in Edmonton and he would be out just in time to take his rightful spot as an NDP MLA.

  20. A lawsuit is his next move filed against the government for not doing enough. Something along the lines of the spurious suit filed by maher arar. Arar got 10 mil because of the actions of the rcmp. He provided no evidence that supported his claim of being tortured.
    Khadr will do the same.

  21. There are multi million dollar lawsuits filed against Khadr by Speer’s widow and Sgt. Layne Morris. They will win. If Khadr is successful in any of this lawsuits (which, by the way, would be the fault of the Chretien Liberals), any payment from the Canadian taxpayer will end up with the victims of Khadr’s murders. And it should be so…..after all, it WAS a “Canadian” that killed Speer and wounded Morris.

  22. I remember seeing a couple of pictures of Khadr with a “brace of human hands” displayed as a trophy…big smile on his face.
This is what we are letting on our streets?
My view is that our greatest enemies are Canada’s courts, the ultimate enablers.

  23. @ Kate: “#ISIS on track to meeting carbon objectives.”
    You got it right, Kate.
They’re reducing the height of carbon-based lifeforms they don’t like by their top 15%…

  24. Yes. Quite the collection of misguided, hate-filled, naïve duncecap-wearing cretins isn’t it? But you have to take into consideration that it’s the CBC website and those types are frequent visitors and, thankfully, just a small minority.
I would bet that not one of these Khadr apologists would welcome the thought of having him living in their neighborhoods. This is not so much an opportunity to defend Khadr (his actions are obviously indefensible) as it is a chance to cheapshot Stephen Harper.

  25. In the avalanche of words and mutterings over at CBC/CTV on the latest Khadr saga, how many times have the names Christopher Speer, Tabitha Speer or Layne Morris been mentioned? I would venture zero, which says a great deal about attitudes therein.
These individuals are non-persons to our chattering class, and Khadr is the victim.

  26. I note the CBC et al making reference to what this individual did. They gravely said, “He killed “an American soldier”. No mention of the fact it was an American Medic. The definition was not lost on the media. They deliberately avoided that. Memories of an enemy not firing on their enemy’s medical
personel come to mind. This in other wars.

I listened to the lawyer for Khadr, with a distinct Scottish brogue. For a brief moment it sounded like he was recommending someone for the Order of Canada. Turned into a saint of sorts it seemed, while incarcerated.

The successful brain washing of many of my fellow Canadians is evident. Shown by the remarks following the CBC article.

    Poor, dear boy etc.

  27. “…….I listened to the lawyer for Khadr, with a distinct Scottish brogue…..”
aaaaaaargh — the lawyer is IRISH, Peter ….
    ,

  28. Forget the lawyer. They’re required to present the best defense possible, even if the client is the Devil himself.

  29. If you believe that a kid of 15 should be held responsible for shooting somebody (anybody, medic or otherwise) after being dragged to a war zone by radical parents, versus being treated as a child soldier, then you must believe that all kids of 15 should be handed the same responsibilities as adults. Because hey… they know what they’re doing, amiright? Why should Kadhr have all the fun of being treated as an adult? Let’s give every Canadian kid those privileges.
So please write your MPs and request the that our youth be allowed the following:
    Driver’s licence
    Fire arms licence
    Right to vote
    Have sex with adults
    Right to buy tobacco
    Right to buy alcohol
    Right to join the military
Right to become a police officer
Right to drop out of school and work full time
    Right to become a pilot

  30. Ed:
“They’re required to present the best defense possible, even if the client is the Devil himself.”
Wouldn’t that be playing Devil’s Advocate?! 🙂 – I seem to remember a comedy sketch somewhere on this, but can’t find it…

  31. There’s lawyers and then there’s lawyers, this one was on the news last night and said when Kahdr is released from jail he will be living with his lawyer and his wife in their home in Edmonton. That’s just a little above and beyond the call of duty I’d say…

  32. Not only does he claim to be a child soldier, but his claim to be a Canadian is even weaker.
Hi mother flew to Toronto for the free birth facilities, then back to Pakistan. He is a Canada hating muslim, as are all his family.

  33. Note to Yanks: Next time, just fill the bastards with bullets and leave ’em for the buzzards. Spare us this silly theatre of the absurd with its never-ending meaningless reviews.

  34. He can get a teaching job at some major collage or university they ecept radicals there
