Media Party Question Shows Anti-Gun Bias

So this time I included the fully loaded question put forward by CTV’s Toronto based reporter on what the PM said about guns in Saskatchewan. A shortened podcast today all guns and niqab. Have a listen, you may not believe your ears.

30 Replies to “Media Party Question Shows Anti-Gun Bias”

  1. I have the TED NUGENT book GOD,GUNS & ROCK n ROLL has a real goot one about these lying media lowlifes and their ant-gun anti-second amendment lies

  2. Regarding Stephen Harper’s “common sense comments:” we must remember common sense is a superpower.
I like many Canadians am concerned about “vigilante justice” against armed B&E scumbags, as well as bears, cougars and other wild animals (sarc off).

  3. Brian, I’ve been following the gun “debate” in Canada since Kim Campbell was Justice Minister. No mindless statement from the press could possibly surprise me. They’re not really biased, I think it’s more that they’re phobic.
It’s like a full blown mental disorder with them. The very idea of a civilian owning a gun makes them nauseous with fear. You simply can’t talk to them about it, they aren’t rational.

  4. Why was the murder rate the same in 2013 as it was in 1966? Any violent offender could buy a gun back in 1966 without ID. I suspect gun ownership and murder are not all that well correlated. Any criminal who wants a gun will quickly find one without getting a license.

  5. Just repeal the LIEberal bill C-68 altogether and go back to pre-True-Dope-ia legislation.
I want to see all the über-media have an overwhelming case of the vapours.
    Should be right sporting…
    Cheers

  6. Exactly!
    Well said as usual Brian.
The Laurentian Elite have a leftist vision of Canada and that includes the disarming of Canadians. This vision is taken right out of the playbooks of their ideological fore-bearers Lenin and Hitler. It is the same leftist mindset, that being controlling of every aspect of everyone’s life and if you disagree somehow you are a bad Canadian. The Toronto scum will be after PM Harper on this file and bad mouthing the Conservative Party, firearms owners, and westerners in general until the federal election.

  7. The morbid hysteria the media try to whip up over any factual statement which contradicts their fallacious narrative is a open display of just how detrimental to “informed consent” the MSM has become. Dis-informing the public undermines a functional democracy.
Look south to see the malice of a political crony MSM – look at the decrepit regime they pimped and cover for. There will never be another functional free democracy until the last media whore is hung with the guts from the last lawyer.

  8. Yah gotta remember these are progressives .. projecting their values and personal ethics upon all others.
So of course they tremble in fear at the idea of an armed citizenry, as they would shoot without provocation, at sounds and movements.
They know they cannot be trusted with any tools, and assume every other canadian is equally incompetent.

  9. Mum told story when a black bear tried to come thru the screen door of the bushcamp kitchen while she was night baker.
A well aimed rifle shot took care of that problem.

  10. “Even in America you can’t take the law into your own hands.”
    Ahem. “Even”?
Minor, but annoying. I find the whole “American-style gun laws” meme offensive. Like were some sort of wild-eyed gun-crazy mob of hicks. Nice.

  11. My wife is from Northern Ontario and her father worked for Lands and Forests, so they moved from little places to little places. She was visiting her grandmother one night when a bear tried to get into the house. It finally climbed on the roof, which went it made a very satisfying “Thump” after granny shot it with the rifle she kept in the house. The next morning they organized a couple of locals with a pickup truck to take the dead bear to the dump. End of story, and nobody thought it was a big deal.

  12. When creatures like bears and coons move in and start tearing up the joint you have to provide a little bit of lead flavoured attitude adjustment.

  13. Yeah well as one fella said Wendy Cukier thinks she can dine out on Ecole Politecnique forever.
They misrepresent it as a gender issue not a safety issue……when the entire matter was perhaps Canada’s first Islamic terror attack.

  14. I voted “urban folks do too”.
Yes I know they have two conservative poll choices and one Leftist gun grabber choice(designed to split the conservative vote) but only the Lefties can’t figure out that both answers say ‘give us guns’.
Anyhow, urban and suburban dwellers live in more danger and need of a gun than rural folks do.
The immigrants who threaten us most don’t live in rural areas and police are inclined to ignore them as a matter of policy.
Policy=policing and until the policy changes the policing won’t.

  15. A few months ago a liberal leftists liberal TOM HASTINGS who runs their liberal wank group PEACE VOICE has demanded the repeal on the 2nd AMENDMENT what a jerk and typical liberal pansy stuck in stupidland and high of stupid weed

  16. I don’t like to see guns in the hands of iddiotts, which is why I do believe in a certain level of gun control in major cites. I did however live on a farm for many years; I was 15 miles from the nearest RCMP depot. For protection, I kept a 12 gauge pump handy (under lock and key) with a box of Federal 3” magnums loaded with number 2 lead. I never had to use it. When I worked as a night security guard on a construction project. For protection, I kept my 12 gauge behind the seat of the truck, going against company rules.
On August 16, 2014, Justin Trudeau had a home intrusion that put his wife and kids at severe risk. While he was away at a gay parade, he left the back door of his home opened to an iddiott who used knives and a threatening note to warn Trudeau to lock his door. This is in Ottawa’s upscale Rockcliff division that most likely has a police cruiser driving by every half hour. His response to CP was, ‘Trudeau told The Canadian Press that of all the sacrifices political families must make, security should not be one of them.’
Please don’t misread this–I would never want to see Justin Trudeau with a gun. (He’d most likely shoot his right foot off then blame Harper because the gun was sold in Calgary.) But you would think that his Liberal followers (including Mulcair) would keep their mouth shut after witnessing such an event. The Trudeaus and Co. should realize that we don’t all live in Rockcliff, and 911 in rural ask can take an hour or more.

  17. Further to Joe Citizen’s comment above, didn’t Mulcair just recently demand an armed bodyguard? That sounds like a “protect me but not thee” approach.

  18. Mulcair and Shiny Pony are both commies. I couldn’t give a f*ck about either of these mental morons think about anything.
I also think think a hobo deserves more armed protection these clowns do.

  19. Didn’t Mulcair, when he assumed Taliban Jack’s death seat, tell BC their salvation was to manufacture wood furniture?

  20. “I do believe in a certain level of gun control in major cites.”
“and 911 in rural ask can take an hour or more.”
A lot can happen in 5 minutes. When I lived in Calgary, the average police response time was more that 20 minutes.

  21. Brian: I was just watching the video regarding Harpers comments about gun ownership on CBC.Ca. This is but one of hundreds of comments that would have been deleted had the tables been reversed, and such a comment was made about Trudeau.
”Right now, Harper is looking Canadians straight in the eye….and blatantly trying to deceive them. The man is a pathological liar!”

  22. There has been a political purge against Canadians who own firearms since C-68 was passed – that was its purpose and effect – to defacto criminalize the non-criminal possession of a firearm.
I think the firearms rights groups have been coming at this all the wrong way – you can’t run a legal repression of a group of citizens without the help of police, prosecutors and judges – here in lies their liability to section 15 of the criminal code – they are treating firearms owners unequally before the law – they are culpable and in breech.

  23. I can understand the long response time of the police in Saskatchewan. I saw a u-tube video a while back and the police department in Saskatoon are severely understaffed, it took seven officers to escort a handcuffed suspect from a squad car to a detention cell. Just imagine seven constables for escort duty, this was after there had been six or more squad cars responding to a traffic violation. Evidently the day of the lone mountie maintaining law and order on the prairies is only an urban myth.

  24. Antenor, I’ve seen a half hour response time from the OPP in Haldimand county Ontario to a gun call regarding armed men trespassing and illegally discharging their firearms.
The cop shop is under a mile from the house in question. You can see it from the front driveway.
I’d like to see Brian ask Shiny Pony or Weirdbeard NDPee Guy if violence against women has totally stopped in Sask, since they think nobody needs a gun for self defense. In fact I’d pay money to see that.

  25. Saw a movie once where only the police and army had guns.
    It was called Schindler’s List
