Renegade Regulator

On January 5th, 2015, the CSA published a series of amendments to existing electrical law. The CSA decided not to subject these legislative amendments to public review. Or, more bluntly, the CSA decided to violate the law. And they’ve been violating these public review laws in each new legislative amendment to electrical law since 2006.

  1. I understand the difficulties of quasi-governmental entities. They invariably bring about the weaknesses of both government regulations, normally incomprehensible to the general public, requiring legal expense and the drive for profit and benefit of commercial entities, however quasi-governmental agencies are able to hide behind the weight of the State.
    Saying this as my preamble; my question comes down to how can we develop reasonable and non-biased regulations that reflect current technologies and still have a user pay system? Appreciate any insight one has. Cheers;

  2. Hey. Stop picking on the CSA. Every gubberment of every stripe has to have some place to hide out some of their plum patronage appointments.
    MikeSr…we all ready have one. It works like this. You produce and market your product. If it is crap, you either improve it, or move on, after your as% has been sued off for any damages caused by said piece of crap, and your insurance goes through the roof. A few self-regulating words to look for; green, organic, _______ (fill in the blank) friendly, etc. They are ALL hoaxes and/or crap.
