Anyone who has ever visited the Grande Canyon knows that is is very high above sea level and that it snows there alot every winter and gets really friggin’ cold!. If you drive up from Phoenix in the winter to see it, remember to go through the Los Angeles mountains near Flagstaff where 10 foot accumulations of snow are the norm.
The dumb media just assumes that Arizona is a dry desert.
Yes, it is just a weather event. Yes, it does fly in the face of the speculative predictions that warmists use to justify their salaries. And yes, it is pretty spectacular picture of nature’s beauty.

If every heat wave and El Nino is OMG GLOBAL WARMING then we have a duty to throw any cold weather back into their stupid faces.
The MSM finds it more convenient to ignore any cooling as much as possible because it flies in the face of their preconceived notions. Watch them jump into action on the first heat wave anywhere in the country, or be forced to print a few lines if some homeless person freezes to death. It used to be called weather but now it all has to be separated to meet the global agenda pushed by the UN and the IPCC. Can’t get grants, wealth transfer , or tax carbon if the sky isn’t falling. Nor can they say it’s all a mistake after 18 years of doubling down. It’s all very entertaining, if only it were affordable, less destructive or at least had a hint of efficiency.
