  1. The part of the brain that tells us the direction to travel when we navigate has been identified by scientists, and the strength of its signal predicts how well people can navigate. In other words, the researchers have found where our ‘sense of direction’ comes from in the brain and worked out how to measure it…
It has long been known that some people are better at navigating than others, but until now it has been unclear why. The latest study, funded by the Wellcome Trust and published in Current Biology, shows that the strength and reliability of ‘homing signals’ in the human brain vary among people and can predict navigational ability.

  2. It’s not surprising that Preston Manning forgot about WR’s grass roots … he forgot about his own.

  3. I have a pre-ban round guard 75b. Wouldn’t sell it for anything. Great guns.
It says something when the IPSC guys are sending 150K rounds down range on a Single CZ Shadow frame, and the gun still operates flawlessly.

  4. When you have a hammer, everything looks like a nail:
Preston Manning met last week with the Wildrose caucus to talk about his experiences when the Reform Party joined the federal Conservatives to form the Canadian Alliance
I used to like this guy but he’s gone off the rails with his eco-turn and now this. Federally at the time, the Conservatives were not the Government and were not the only opposition either.

  6. How could this be? Harper gaining on Trudeau? After extensive research we’ve ruled out “it’s an election year” and have 97% consensus that “(n)ext election is Justin Trudeau’s to lose:”

Well maybe Harper will win – but just with a minority, that’s settled science:

Oh and Canadians want to put a price on carbon – zero that is.
In other news – more than half of voters don’t like Stephen Harper. They’re going to vote for him, but they don’t like him:
