  17. The Mauna Loa volcano on Hawaii is pretty high, 13796 feet.
    And it gets snow in the winter.
    So I can see it being below freezing.

  18. You are correct, but at the top of Mauna Loa it will be 31F therefore somewhere in all 50 states will hit below freezing on one day. The cold temperature in Florida is in just one area. Much of the rest of the state will be above freezing.
    So yes….you are correct….it never hurts to check out facts.

  19. The highest point in Arizona is around 13,000 feet so its pretty much a guarantee somewhere in the state will have below freezing temperatures. Besides its not uncommon for it to be below freezing in Flagstaff which is further north and higher up while in the 70s in Phoenix which is in a valley. Besides Arizona is in the desert so there tend to be big differences between nighttime and daytime temperatures so even if you do get frost, it should warm up during the day.

  21. this happened last year but I don’t think it was nov. in late feb I awoke to the smell of heat at our condo. our condo is in flordia south of Clearwater. the furnace had come on. the furnace had never come on so what I smelled was dust burning off. this does not instill confidence for the coming winter.

    On the ground in Hawaii, temperatures will be pushing 30C most of this week.
    On a high mountaintop, there will be cooler air.
    Therefore there are freezing temperatures in all 50 states.
    And, in the entire history of the world, it’s never happened before Obama became president.
    Got it.

  29. SYF, they use Fahrenheit scale in the US of A, therefore 31 degrees is actually below freezing.

  32. Not sure what you’re getting at, oh wise wizard.
    Obviously, it gets colder on mountain tops than it does at sea level.
    Fahrenheit-wise, seems about 48F difference between Honolulu high for the day and the mountain top’s coolest moment of the day.
    Not exactly end-of-the-world news. Too bad, so sad for global warming advocates.
    Time to take some chillax pills. May help lower your temperature about topics that are not under discussion on this thread.

    As the cost come to impoverish taxpayers I predict a new Canadian sport.
    Dipping global warming activists in water and setting them outside.
    A team sport, see which useless parasite freezes fastest.
    Then drag them in and thaw them ….
    Repeat until entertainment value equals the public treasure squandered by these idiots.
