  1. Not this article, but another one about Shiny Pony’s memoirs, mentions his brother Michel’s car accident where the police found marijuana in the glove compartment of his car, indicating to me that there was probably some impaired driving going on. Marijuana appears to be important to Shiny Pony, I wonder if all three of the brothers have from time to time kept a glove compartment supply of marijuana to smoke in their cars?

  2. Looks Like the brown envelopes are being disbursed to have the Ottawa press gallery sing the same cloying tune about Trudumbo.
I’m so sick of this media collusion to saddle us with an inept leadership It’s time to start reporting the bias to the press ombudsman.

  3. Pure,unadulterated BS!
Tried that route before,Occam. They are as in bed with leftards as the papers they are supposed to investigate are.Screw the Brit revolution. We need a Canuck one, badly.

  4. Let him have it Kate!! Hit him until he’s down and out and frozen under the Rideau Canal!
It was funny when they did it to Harper–let’s not stop now!
I saw him on W-5 today! Lisa Laflamme was in ecstasy and head over heels in front of Trou D’eau!

  5. Oh, he is going to discipline himself after a extensive investigation into wrongdoing. Bet he wont be able to disclose the outcome due to privacy.
Flicks his hair and exits stage left. What an annoying twit.

  6. I don’t know what is more sickening, Trudeau or the fawning MSM. Are the MSM really that stupid and shallow?

  8. Absolutely fascinating…
How DO they manage to breath with their lips so firmly and permanently attached to Justin’s c… erm… backside?

  9. I hope this isn’t a preview of the campaign, the CPC needs to realize that to retain power they are going to have to do more than knock down JT — they are going to need to reach undecided voters with policies that will motivate them to cast a vote.
The anti-urban theme won’t be very helpful, even if it is understandable (I live in a large city and nobody gets this agenda faster than me). I say this not to be mean-spirited but because I hope to see some constructive reform of the current policies of this government. At the moment, they range from good to adequate to poor. Those that are poor need to be fixed up, they are attracting very few voters and alienating at least equal numbers of potential voters. I would mention civil liberties and freedom of speech as key areas where improvements are needed.
Also, we need to decide, are we against the green economy or just playing along with it? I think we should be against it as dangerous communist delusion, and say so. Sure the hamsters will run around madly in their little wheels, but so what, they will anyway, if only to catch their hero Justin.
Personally, I think Mulcair and the NDP are the real threat. Imagine them in government. But they would not descend into farce the way the boy king’s crew might do. Imagine Mulcair needing the support of three Greens or a few renegade left-Libs. Shudder.

  10. Irony is that a memoir is something you pen after you reach the pinnacle of your success, something you do in retrospect from the position of one exiting public life to one of private retirement.

  11. Along with having a substanceless Laurentian elite drama queen as an heir apparent, must we put up with these low brow ad-lib passion plays concocted for media consumption? Must we go through press scrum after press scrum with nary a challenge to MP Zoolander’s infantile dramatizations substituting for cognitive thought? Must we endure the incestuous journalism which grinds out and endless stream of cloying sycophant gruel which mirrors the “dear leader” mind wash of the Nork media?
What has the Canadian public done to deserve this anti-intellectual bunco game from our media? Why do they conspire to saddle us with the worst possible leadership in an increasingly dangerous world and financially fragile era? Just what is driving this media connivance to defraud us and promote dangerously inept leadership? What’s in it for them? Where’s the rub?
Frankly I don’t care. The fact that the media have set themselves against meritocracy and aligned against the best interests of the common voter with a campaign of self-serving disinformation to continuous pimp an inferior partisan option, is all the motivation I need to start calling them on the carpet for abandoning their watchdog roll in democracy for venal political fixing. Time to deluge editors, ombudsmen and industry watch dog and regulatory groups with complaints of bias, duplicity, and conflict of interest. These propagandists have licences and credentials which can easily be rescinded if a public backlash forms to their mind numbing partisan propagandizing.
Most media is so openly devoid of ethical and informational value they only appeal to the LIV segment or the corrupt partisan crony insiders – it is hilarious to me the pretense they engage in to deny the obvious – pandering journalism/media is a house of cards and the failing fortunes of the MSM are an indication that these networking liars are in a far more vulnerable position than they think.

  12. No, they are liberals and swoon at the thought of those comfy JP and whatever-commission chairs await them and their pals. Was the family compact really revoked in Canada?

  13. The Light One will be the next PM and it will solely be the fault of PM Harper and the Conservative Party.
Canadians are looking for a government that looks out for them.
Boutique tax cuts aside, the Conservatives govern like Liberals with different client groups. Our Government is the strong arm for business, the distributor of wealth and Mommy too.
They could take on individual liberty, too big government, the unions, business competition, the media(I wish), the execrable telcos/cable/internet, real tax reform, the many self-serving, self-governing societies(Law, Medical, Accounting etc)……I could go on…..things that really matter to Canadians.
Instead they will be defeated soundly by The Dumb One.
    Ironic eh?

  14. Exercise in innoculation. Yup smoked dope, Yup I am more like my mom than my dad in the brains dept., yup I am like both my mom and my dad in the marriage department
CPC cant go after him on those now. But they never really should have, its about inexperience and more critically lack of depth (which experience doesnt fix)
If I were his handler I think would limit the number of debates, Mulcair and Harper will not setup a positive contrast for him.
He just isnt that smart, and he lacks the wisdom to operate outside of his bubble. A PM needs is by nature operational, unlike a Head of State. Obama lives as a symbol and doesnt get his hands or brain dirty. A PM can’t do that, who does he delegate to? Even if he runs a ministerial driven cabinet, he needs to be able to evaluate and manage them. HArd to do when you bring nothing to the table.
This has disaster written all over it.

  15. All too true, Peter. Most of the voters live in cities. Anti-urbanism doesn’t help any party that wants to be more than a mere fringe movement. Yes, I agree with you about the Dippers; they’re the real threat. Mulcair looks like a leader, has the gravitas where Shiny Pony does not.
Thing is, both of them are going after the same pool of lefty voters. They can bash the government all they want, but that doesn’t much help them compete with each other. So Tom comes up with solid policy like child care reform (may be stupid but it’s substantial) and Shiny Pony plays the victim card to the Ottawa Press Gallery wet panty brigade. Be interesting to see which of the two strategies works.

  16. I agree strongly, but the OPG wet panty brigade ain’t gonna go down without a lot of desperate attempts.

  17. Cgh and Peter O’Donnell, could you explain what you mean by the “anti-urban theme” and “anti-urbanism” of the Conservatives? Could you give me a few examples of anti-urban statements they’ve made, or of anti-urban policies or laws that they’ve passed in parliament?
I’m not in a position to agree or disagree with you because I’m not sure what you’re specifically referring to.

  18. So well said OCCAM! You would think that the example provided south of the 49th would be enough to pursuade people top think logically rather than believe the crap delivered by our MSM. The time may have come where the ROC must vote on whether we should keep Ontario in confederation, but then, what about the Maritimes and Quebec? Yes, and then what about Manitoba and British Columbia? They all seem to have their unique complaints against the ‘Dictator’ don’t they! All of which seems to stem from the ‘Harper Conservatives!’ Bloody tragic! At this time we have perhaps the best nation in the world! The most secure, providing the best opportunities and our media is intent on pi$$ing it all away for want of the Shiny One – a total idiot. Other than the CBC, I just cannot, for the life of me figure out what they, our media hope to gain from whatever transpires in the next election. Help me out here – what’s in it them?

  19. Sid Vicious >
“Is this little fairy a dog eater like our fearless leader President Ebolee?”
    More like princess Ebolee.
Wonder when they’re going to make a Political “Brokeback Mountain” starring drag queen standins for Princess JT and Obola?
Not that I would watch that one either, but Liberal-land must be waiting for another epic gender bending tear-jerker by now.

  20. “Just what is driving this media connivance to defraud us and promote dangerously inept leadership?”
The future global order and their desire to play a part in it, with subsequent rewards.

  21. What is surprising, or even mildly interesting, about any of the 7 things CBC is trumpeting?
    Lipstick, meet the pig…

  22. EBD, an important question, and I needed a bit of time to think about it. It’s about both appearances and electoral politics. The reality in Canada today is not only left vs. right; it’s also and perhaps even predominantly rural vs. urban. And it’s pretty much obvious which party gets their support from what.
Over the past several years, the Dips and the Libs getting their support from urban voters have been somewhat successful in playing the victim card over the appearance of cities getting the shaft from the Tories. This has been reinforced by a number of events that would appear to show that the Tories seem to be indifferent to urban problems: gun registry, needle exchange clinics. It doesn’t matter what the truth of these events may be, the Left has used them as propaganda ploys to claim the CPC has no interest in urban issues.
And the CPC’s counter of tougher law enforcement doesn’t really resonate in the big cities; “more walls, more bars, more guards” just doesn’t cut it. Has the government ever said anything meaningful about what are admittedly major urban problems: transportation, homelessness? Not really.
And there’s good reason for this, as the CPC and libertarians like me by extension are somewhat caught in an ideological trap. In this case, good governance means dealing with problems by the appropriate level of government and not heavy-handed intervention by higher levels. But the Libs and Dips are not so constrained and they’ve been able to play to their urban left base without much counter from the CPC.
