Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Why do we never get the names. The names of “jounalists”. The name of “some people”. The names of judges that make stupid decisions and sentences. We never get them. We get the names of business people who have made a mistake. We get the names of conservative politicians who have made a slip of the tongue. But there are names that are just difficult to get.
yet more proof (as if you needed any) as to why trust in the media is sinking faster than Obama’s approval rating.
And the answer back will just be the normal passive aggressive “I am just asking”
But would be nice to know which journalist asked such a stupid question along with inserting them into the story.
Passport is not a right. Never was never should be. But certain groups and sympathizers cant get that out of their head.
I guess that means that supporting passports retention is equally political, because apparently there are no principles at play here.
Find him and fire him (or her)
And of all of them, the Ottawa Press Gallery is the lowest of the low. They’ve been enraged that, over the past eight years or so, the government has denied them all the insider privileges, perks and leaks that the Libs used to give them. And the journos have been trying to play pay-back ever since. It’s not just ideological; the media, in particular the Ottawa denizens of the press gallery, want the Conservatives unelected as soon as possible, and there’s just about nothing they won’t try to make it so.
Enjoying your exchange with O’Malley…defending her media party.
So when the government of Canada makes decisions to protect Canadians…it’s a campaign ploy.
When Shiny Pony does tricks…well he is just being a leader of the Lib party.
Its.that.simple.
I am sorry but the guy does have a point.
Why won’t Alexander say how many have had their passports revoked? Why won’t Alexander release the names of the terrorists allegedly stripped of their passports? Makes you wonder about the veracity of the claims by Alexander. Smells like bullsh*t.
As usual most simpletons who post here will be satisfied with any unverified claim of any sort coming from the CPC. I want proof.
Our Media has become Canada’s biggest enemy. Its a 5th column , not a news group anymore.
I would object to any names being released of those denied passports. You only have a right to names when they’ve actually been charged with something.
cgh:

Let me get this straight. Why would you object to the names being released? Are you concerned for the terrorists “privacy rights”?
Why would you release names. They dont release the names of passports that are revoked for other forms of abuse. It isnt a public list.
Daniel, do you doubt they have revoked passports? And if it is an announcement of policy that they will revoke passports do you have an issue with that?
My suspicion, the Libs are on the wrong side of an issue and need to denigrate the other position. Politics. JT has successfully come down on both sides of the issue. Not surprising given his advisors
If they are announcing a policy they never enforce….then I would have an issue with that.
Ask Justin about his abortion policy, specifically if he allows discussion of sex selection abortion and if he will boot out any MP who opposes sex selection abortion.
Don’t expect the CBC to be asking him about that any time soon.
In a word. Yes. If the names were released, there would be a case for a privacy breach and you can be sure they would seize on that opportunity to sue the Government and probably win.
Daniel, don’t be so naive.
He’s not being naive, he’s being a lefty troll. As you say, he wants to have the government accused of flouting due process of law.
There might be an individual posting in the comments here who is either confusing a passport with citizenship or is intentionally using the Liberal line that the two are one in the same.
They don’t want to name the names of people who had their passport stripped from them so the terrorists don’t know who’s been found out. You think they sent a registered letter to these turds over in whatever crap hole they’re in? These guys don’t even know they’ve been discovered and if they did they’d probably soon figure out who ratted on them.
Exactly. Hopefully most of them get bumped off.
In 2015, obama is requiring a passport for anyone from Oklahoma to fly outside that state. Since not one county in Oklahoma voted for obama in the last election, and there is not one national office in the state or governor that is dhimocrapt, you can see why people are concerned about the right/privilege passport argument. Well folks, you now know that the United States has joined the USSR and the Third Reich as the only major countries requiring a passport for internal travel.
