He was IMHO a good actor, not a great one. And his tragic death isn’t going to have me changing my mind and singing his praises. You are right suicide is not heroic or intelligent, it’s a dumb, incredibly selfish thing to do to your loved ones. I wouldn’t know about “lack of faith” since I have none, but when you’re so desperate that you kill yourself the pain is unbearable, almost unimaginable. I don’t judge people who do it.
Could we take a bit of time and mourn the loss of Lauren Bacall now?
