  1. That wasn’t kickboxing, it was a capoeira, a Brazilian martial art.
The capoeira’s advantage is only at kicking distances and maneuvering out of the way of close attacks. Once, he is close enough to be punched, the boxers forteĀ“ comes into play.
Sgt. Mike Stone, hand to hand combat instructor in a Los Angeles police dept., claims to only have been injured seriously twice on the street. Once was against a capoeira fighter who broke Stone’s forearm when he used it to block a kick.
It can be quite devastating, as it’s kicks have a lot of power. The particular practitioner clearly had no experience fighting against other styles of striking arts.
The U.S marine was a skilled and experienced boxer. The Bolivian pretending to be Brazilian, was neither very skilled nor very experienced.

  2. Apparently from a movie “Never Back Down”…there’s got to be a political pun in there somewhere…

  3. Actors.Acting.
It’s a blatant ripoff of the scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark where the sword brandishing guy is shot by Harrison Ford.

  4. that Harrison thing was a spoof that made it into the movie, Ford was just dicking around when on a shoot, and the director decided to put it in the movie
that clip with the “monkey” fool dancing around and then getting the snot punched out of him was priceless:-)))

  5. Just as I was beginning to think ” he should hit the other guy while he is doing his ridiculous acrobatics” he did it.
Backward summer saults and black belt moves are quite impressive but are not worth much in a real fight.
