  1. But maybe a lot of men are hardwired to physically, mentally, and socially destroy themselves by overworking while less women are so inclined.

  2. When life expectancy for men equals that of women, then we’ll talk about “equal pay”.

  3. Has hash tag justice ever failed? Ever?
    #IWantTheSamePayAsThatEmptySuitNamedBarackObama

  4. Women in Teh Won’s own administration don’t have equal pay, and that’s within his ability to change.

  5. Ah, nothing says socialism like telling businesses what they have to pay each employee. Yes minimum wage is a socialist program, but this takes it to a whole new level. As usual the results will not be what the socialist dictators imagined, it will either be fewer women being hired or pay scales going lower for everyone. Somehow these people, many of who have never accomplished anything in the private sector, think they can figure out what a position is worth better then the free market… They are not as smart as they think they are.

  6. There are no women currently working where I work. Does that mean under equal pay I should get $0.00?

  7. Our company has an equal pay for work of equal value policy. One gets paid for what they produce. Women just don’t seem to produce as much as their male counterpart. I don’t know if legislation can fix that.

  8. Nor is it up to an empty suit (and empty head) politician like himself to dictate to other countries what their abortion policies will be.

  9. My understanding is that when one peels out the stats for women who leave the workforce to have babies, the level of pay is virtually equivalent. The only way to change that would be to pay women more than men to compensate. I have never run across any organization with a structured pay system that pays less for the same job based on gender.

  10. Perhaps it’s because men are more productive? As Captain Capitalism pointed out a couple of years ago if men and women are equally productive and women are paid less then an all female company would undercut competing companies that are all male or co-ed.
Men are the better mathematicians and the careers that require advanced math skills are among the highest paying, ie engineering, chemistry, architecture. Men who are academically challenged can still become high earners by doing arduous tasks that require greater hardiness and muscular strength, ie oil rig workers, construction workers etc.
Men and women are different, to refuse to recognize that fact is futile.

  11. Can we hear from the ladies of the White House on that? Are they happy with the free birth control pills in lieu of extra salary.

  12. And he has a strong track record of paying his female staff members the same as their male counterparts in the White House?? I remember reading that there was a disparity a while back when it was liked on Drudge. We should dig that out and ask him why (once again…) people are to do as he says, but not as he does?!

  13. Funny how this kind of divisive squealing always comes from the parasitic peoples.
Here in the skilled trades, you get paid for your work ethic and skills.
A skilled journeyman such as my niece gets the same rate as any male.
More when she is the foreman.
as noted by others, funny how the Zero in Chief does not pay his own female employees same as his favourite yes men.
Typical community organizer/progressive lie by nature.

  14. 2014 – 1969 = 53!!
    Math is hard
Apparently math is hard, in spite of the high BS level in The Zer0’s tweet, 1963 to 2014 is 51 years.

  15. How often does this have to be debunked:
    http://lattenomics.wordpress.com/2008/05/07/do-women-really-get-paid-less-than-men/
    http://www.rightwingnews.com/uncategorized/an-interview-with-thomas-sowell-about-ieconomic-facts-and-fallaciesi/
The kicker is always this (don’t let common sense get in the way):
“You know, if it was really true that you could hire a woman for three quarters of what you could hire a man with exactly the same qualifications, then employers would be crazy not to hire all women. It would be insane to hire men. Not only would it be insane, it would probably put them out of the business because the ones that were smart enough to hire women would have such a cost advantage that it would be really hard for the others to compete. ”

  16. Any received disparity comes from the FACT, women choose part time hours to have more time with family. At the City Girls are paid the same as the boys.
The ladies choose to not take full time jobs. So earn less.
I see that a lot in private business as well.
Also because of all the socialist laws about paying for a women’s pregnancy with a year or two off does not help.
To be honest few Women in a labour job can keep up to men. We end up carrying them, as the guys end up working harder.

  17. It’s all spin… Our dear leader is desperately trying to find something, something that he can pivot to that will keep attention off his blunders. It doesn’t matter a whit whether the math or message is in error, just that it provides a distraction.
If this keeps up much longer, he’ll probably pivot back to Bengazi as an issue.

  18. How come we never hear about the gender income tax gap? Not only do men pay more taxes than women, they pay at a higher rate.

  19. I have never worked with a female electrician who did not need me to do the heavy lifting. And they get paid the same.

  20. the first moon walk was 1969 july 21
and that is 2014-1969 = 45 years ago. less a few weeks.
last mission 1972 42 years ago , the last time humans set foot on another planet

  21. What? You mean I can reduce payroll costs by hiring women??? Why in hell wasn’t I told??

  22. I believe it was Christina Hoff Sommers her book “Who Stole Feminism”, a book that tries to explore some of the myth of modern feminism, said the idea that men earn more than women needs to be explored more closely in order to find the truth.
Her exploration of the statistics shows that on average men do make more than women, but under further analysis we find something else. She found for an equal comparison never married women far out earned never married men.

  23. I have an idea ….. when women put a woman on the moon they can all get a raise.

  24. what gender has the most welfare recipients?….I rest my case, what ever that case may be:-)))

  25. It would be useful to actually have some facts here.
How about actual examples of women doing the same job as men being paid less? Surely that is against US labour laws? And if there are such examples, then President Obama is to blame if he is not enforcing the law.
I rather suspect that this is not about equal pay at all but about “pay equity”, a much more deceitful concept. That’s where a woman working as a receptionist for, say, a car dealership is supposed to be paid the same as a mechanic.
Not a male receptionist, you’ll note, but an entirely different occupation field.

  26. I really hate to bring this up, but a woman has never walked on the moon. How will they ever know if they got the same pay?
