  1. 700 or more people per year dead by bedsheet entanglement. How does that happen?
    Damn those ski lift people!

  2. Seriously, how do you die by bed sheet entanglement? Is it a senior thing? Should I be worried? I am, after all, into that age.

  3. As long as the total revenue generated by ski resorts stays low, you’ll be relatively safe..

  4. I don’t ski so that should lower my risk of getting tangled to death by my sheets. That gives me a good incentive to not take up skiing, unless I get a free ski pass. Free skiing and not skiing both reduce the risk of death by bed sheet. Decisions, decisions.
What if there is a poor snow season and skiing is reduced, do bed sheet deaths automatically adjust downward for it. Science is so simple it is complicated.

  5. I don’t ski and some nights I sleep on the couch.
    I want a tax break.

  6. All this klepto-nomic chasing of GHGs and bad weather by avaricious western governments is about to be self corrected by a looming economic realignment.
China and Russia are busy building supply alliances and petro production/consumption agreements which will change the value of the western petro dollar. Then resulting energy serfdom will force energy taxing western governments to reform their impractical energy policies and lighten restrictions/burdens on domestic producers.
The bottom line on eco-fascism is that it thrives in affluence and wanes in poor economic climes – economic climate change has more effect on political policies – perhaps this is the “climate change” cynical regulators have been addressing all along.

  7. Use a sleeping bag. (But keep a gun handy, bear attacks have a higher correlation with use of a sleeping bag than with use of bedsheets.)

  8. One of those correlations wasn’t that spurious. It was the correlation between the # of political action committees and peole who die falling out of wheel chairs. That just means that democrats are using real seniors in their ads depicting republicans throwing granny over the cliff.

  9. could use a comparison of Algore speeches with wind generated electrical power!!

  10. In both cases somebody should have figured out a way to “Hide the decline” to get rid of the recent anomolies.

  11. I’m guessing the decline of bedsheet deaths in 2009 corresponded with a rise in global temperature. With more people sleeping on top of the sheets, death-by-bedsheet would invariably decline. It only makes sense 😉

  12. As we have declared for a long time co-relation is not evidence of causation.
Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence….eg ET etc.

  13. Nakiska just anounced they are reducing Lift Season passes 400%. We should all be safe.

  14. Funny you should mention that.
Seniors are getting season ticket at Nakiska for $159.
    I’m buying.
See you on the slopes in the winter of 2014/2015.
    Cheers
