  3. You have to wonder why the Liberals just can’t leave the abortion question alone like the Harper and the Conservatives. I always thought the talking point was always PRO-CHOICE.

  4. I loath politicians who on the one hand claim they are good Catholics, but on the other hand demand that all members of their party vote in favour of abortion.
    I’m not a Catholic or even very religious, but the strong stench of hypocrisy emanating from people like Trudeau is not lost on me.
    Simply cannot stand the selfish, spoilt brat, and I cannot wait to see him implode completely. He has the brains of a 2-year old combined with the arrogance of his father.

  5. Logically, if JT is personally opposed to abortion he should join a party that reflects his personal view.
    JT is not an intellect, he just spews out whatever bilge water he happens to be swimming around in.
    When will JT say he personally against eradicating the female of the species in utero, which is practiced among certain ethnic communities?
    I’m awaiting JTs announcement that only Satanists, and those who practice child sacrifice to Molloch can represent the LIEberal party.
    Naturally, this is known as ‘widening the net’,…in Dante’s 8th circle of hell.
    Horns and cloven feet are optional…
    JT is well on his way to making the 3rd party the 13th party.
    Next week the LIEberals will announce; throwing virgins into volcanoes will stop climate change.
    Maybe they should just rename the LIEberal party the Black Farce party; Blackbeard would be envious!

    Query: how is JT’s Senate Reform going? Have the Liberal Senators resigned their party affiliations yet?
    how about open nomination process for MPs where the pipple get to chose; how’s that going?
    how is the legalizing pot thingy going; regarding an actual policy postion?
    It seems to me that JT makes statements that in reality mean nothing. In other words, I don’t expect a single thing to change regarding abortion and the Liberal party. This, similar to the Senate statement, will be forgotten by JT and his supporters, as soon as he makes the next unsustainable statement. The bottom line is this… people who would at this point vote Liberal or NDP care not a whit about what their preferred representatives say and do. They just know they ain’t voting for old white guys.JMO

  8. BC: Actually it’s worse than that. I wish someone prominent would have the courage to point out that you cannot be a Catholic and at the same time support abortion — and that to do so is simply hypocrisy.
    Scar: You aren’t looking at the issue with the proper cynicism. Trudeau brought up the abortion issue and took the “position” he did because he wanted to put a cat among the Conservative pigeons (like his Senate gambit). It wasn’t an expression of some profound belief. But as usual he didn’t think it through; even if he had, he wouldn’t have seen the implications of what he was doing.
    God help us.

  9. 1. The Liberal Party is fully entitled to demand its MPs and membership support its political platform.* MPs who disagree can cross the floor or become independents; party members who disagree can tear up their membership cards and walk away. You don’t have to be a Liberal.
    2. And I’m not a Liberal supporter. Trudeau’s action on the abortion issue has actually been quite useful: it has simply confirmed my wisdom in not supporting them at all. Ever.
    * Notice how it’s Harper who is always portrayed as the big control freak and meanie though?

I know this is off-topic, but related; if a devout Muslim wishes to run for the LPC in an area where there is a large Muslim population,how will fast-fading future PM Trudeau address said candidate’s anti-gay marriage views, not to even mention said person might believe all gays should be put to death?
    Now, this mythical fellow is VERY popular in his community, he will almost certainly win in a landslide,so what would Justin do?
    I don’t believe religion plays any part in JT’s makeup,it’s only a convenient claim to appeal to the millions of Catholics and all people of faith in this Country.
    And if the people of Canada are dumb enough to elect this guy to the PM’s Office, we had all better convert and pray for divine intervention to save the Country.
    It’ll be our only hope.

  14. Justin likely does not have a clue about the lack of abortion laws in Canada.
    We need to take a close look at late-term abortions and sex-selective abortions.
    Should a man that forces a woman to abort face any charges ?
    There is much that Justin cannot comprehend.
    But when you spend your life with your pretty head up your stupid arse and everyone applauds you for doing so, it is expected.

  16. I agree with you JJM. The more statements PET Jr. makes regarding who he wants running for his party the more people he’ll tick off and potentially the more votes that he’ll have lost. So far his statements will not have gotten him any new votes and have clearly identified his “new” liberal party as one clearly on the far left.

    Justin says Liberal mps can hold any view they want as long as they violate their freedom of belief.
    Did they not understand this concept, or does the CBC follow this dictate as well?

  20. If all candidates for the Shiny Pony Club must be vetted to agree to be pro choice it’s obvious they will not have to be whipped, to vote against it would have to mean expulsion. The feeble brains who are feeding the Shiny Pony his oats and hay are producing more poop than substance, most of his answers are stammering hee-haws.
