  1. The what’s your deal, negative energy guy reminds me of an Elvis and Costello comedy bit.

  2. Seeing this makes me so glad that I no longer live in the moonbat capital of Canada. The individuals at this protest have no contact with reality and remind me of the useful idiots at the anti-nuclear protests in the 1980’s. Talked to one of these useful idiots at a party one night and she was totally convinced that unless nuclear weapons were totally eliminated from the US the world would be destroyed. I mentioned the significant issue of potential meteorite impacts on the earth and the results of a dinosaur killer asteroid impacting the earth as well as the crucial role of thermonuclear devices in deflecting asteroids. During the last part our conversation she would periodically glance at the ceiling and had no answer of how to deal with this issue. As, in all such discussions I’ve had with such “activists”, any probing into details of what they were protesting revealed an almost lack of knowledge about the issue they were protesting. In the case of my conversation at the 1980’s party, it was friendly and I may have changed her mind.
Logic is not one of the strong points of these moonbats and they often get very incensed when one points out the logical inconsistencies in their arguments. Realized the extent of the spread of delusions when stopped at a coffee shop in Valemont today and saw various mineral crystals on display, all with purported “energy” properties. The books for sale were all new age BS with the words “quantum”, “fractal” and other terms in their titles although the meaning of the concepts expressed in their title was totally foreign to the authors. Thinking I was in a redneck area of BC, I was disappointed to see such delusional thinking in evidence.
I admit that in my hippy days I probably would have been at this protest, but that was over 40 years ago. I evolved, unlike the Vancouver moonbats who have devolved over the same time period. What struck me during the drive from Jasper today was the huge truck traffic going eastward with virtually no truck traffic in the western direction. A significant fraction of the trucks were “wide loads” carrying either sections of modular housing, steel pipe or huge metal structures that are likely part of some oil sands developments. While I would have no objection to a major earthquake leveling the moonbat capital of Canada, that would interfere with the port of Vancouver and materials required for oil sands development.
Given the imbecility of the protestors, what is needed is a counter movement which will put sufficient numbers of pro-development people at such protests to incite the moonbats with logic and then pound the crap out of them (in self-defense of course). Unfortunately, the vast majority of people who are pro oil sands are too busy working to waste time on cracking moonbat skulls. Guess all I can do is to support Ezra’s expose of bird blenders and buy more of his books.

  3. I will quietly listen with an open mind to anyone opposed so long as they are neither wearing or consuming any item that in any way owes it’s existence to the burning of fossil fuels for production or transportation.
In short, they must be wearing plant material or animal skins harvested within walking distance, and eating only what they have harvested within walking distance from that site, that day using stone implements or sticks.
Ever watched “Naked and Afraid”? That is life without oil.

  4. Good rant and right on the mark.I watched the show this afternoon and the thing that struck me is how downright dumb and naive some of these protesters were. More than obvious that some had mental problems and not one put up a rational reason to hate oil or pipelines. For a government to be held hostage and kiss ass to get a favorable pass from these brainwashed social outcasts is beyond stupid.

  5. Yes John, and read this:
    http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/health-science/antarctic-sea-ice-at-record-levels/story-e6frg8y6-1226913708208#
    and this

But then I bet you are a true believer, and therefore nothing I could say would change your mind that warming is natural, and cooling is natural, and that we want warming because humans do much better under a warmer climate.

  6. My Dad had a Shell filling station in the 60`s. They had professional potesters at Shell refineries back then. They came back when Apartheid protesters were blocking Shell stations.

  7. Yes, of course John. ” they report that in as few as 2 centuries Thwaites Glacier’s outermost edge will recede past an underwater ridge now stalling its retreat. Their modeling suggests that the ……”
I have so much faith in 2 century predictions by people that have been wrong on everything for well over a hundred years. They do need brainwashed fools like you John, so keep the faith.

  8. Just couldn’t stay away, could you John. This article has me really worried, a potential 3 m sea level rise in 200 years; that is if “global warming” were to have actual temperatures matching the artificially adjusted rate of last few decades. I have news for you: the world is cooling and we’re into a 30+ year cooling trend depending on how long the sun stays in its quiet phase. So, if the world is cooling and Antarctic sea ice is at its greatest extent in recorded history, then I will spend my time worrying about far more likely threats to civilization such as dinosaur killer asteroids or the proliferation of moonbats.
The solution to this potential problem is not sticking ones head up ones ass and hoping that one occasionally gets some power from the bird blenders that are supposed to be the “solution” to this non-problem, but rather steady technologic development. The Dutch would have no problems in dealing with a 3 m rise in sea levels over 2 centuries and that’s with old technology. Catastrophic events happen all of the time and just spent a long weekend looking at ice-sheet modified topography in a road trip to Jasper as well as the upthrust fault mountains of the area. Given the option between a tropical climate and an ice age, I’ll take the tropical climate any time. My gas plant is a full month behind schedule this year and was worried that it had died but saw the first shoots coming up when I came home today. Also, am starting to worry about whether my tomato plants will give a good crop this year given the unusually cold and rainy weather of the S. central interior of BC the last few years. “Global warming” is the least of my worries at this time and I have significant concerns about global cooling. At least we can now deal with this problem given time to develop the appropriate high energy technologies needed; that is if the moonbats don’t interfere.

  9. John if you’re that worried about it take a ship down there and start bagging some ice cubes for export. You have the power to save everyone and make sure our beverages are frosty cold.

  10. Peterj, unfortunately, in the moonbat capital of Canada, the deluded protestors are not considered insane. One area where I’ve always disagreed with psychiatrists is their assertion that if the majority of the population consider certain ways of thought to be “normal”, then individuals utilizing such thought patterns are “sane”.
My position has always been that any pattern of thought which doesn’t agree with objective reality is delusional and this has been the subject of many interesting disagreements with psychiatrists over the years. Thus, people in Vancouver who are convinced that “natural” vitamin C is good but “synthetic” vitamin C is a dangerous “chemical” are considered “sane” if these people live in former hippy enclaves such as Kitsilano. Similarly, the totally non-rational use of the purely emotional meaningless response to people of emanating “bad energy” and seeing peoples “auras” are considered to be normal in Vancouver whereas in rational parts of the world they are viewed as evidence of delusional thinking.
What is needed is a total collapse of the economic system in order for such delusional individuals to be given a strong dose or reality therapy. The only reason they are still alive is because the artificial environment of large cities permits them to inhabit a reality tunnel where they can hold ludicrous irrational beliefs without danger to their physical existence. In terms of individuals who inhabit deranged virtual realities, I would include those people who are heavily into MMPORG’s as in many cases such individuals consider the MMPORG “reality” to be far more real than objective reality. While I don’t like getting prepared for a SHTF scenario (have the guns and ammo and now just need to deal with stocking up on food and fuel) if it causes a massive moonbat die-off, it will be worth it.

  11. Ah yes. The professional leech(protester). Here in AB,we are slowly starting to shut them down. First take their cellphone away(composed of oily parts,ya know),then offer them $50 bucks to replace it.Whoops. Oily parts in that bill. No can do.Then when they start getting a bit upset, just walk away.Without a sheeple audience following them, they are dead in the water.Oh.And stomp the cellphone on way out.Drastic? Only to the man-boy/girl leech.OH.And taking their sunglasses works really well.

  12. I’m surprised Ezra hasn’t figured out this whole phenomena of the same cluster of flamboyant left loons hogging camera time at these trendy street theater protest events – they are all auditioning for a “host” job at CBC in their new reduced budget format.

  13. It’s fun to watch, but after about five minutes, I feel like I’ve just pigged out on too many chocolate chip cookies – and I have to stop before I get sick.

  14. John was probably one of the mental incompetents at the protest. Hey, John…..if you have woken up from your pot induced coma, and if there is a responsible adult around for you to talk to, maybe have them read some of this to you. They can probably help you with the bigger words….you know, the ones that have more than 6 letters.

  15. Given the history of Vancouver’s Mayor and the vacuum of common sense inherent in these protestors
why can’t fossil fuels be banned from Greater Vancouver? Give these people what they want and do it now!

  16. Yeah, in HongCouver. Not very many wise inscrutable Asians in that clip. I saw far more Asians in Robert’s coverage of the Vancouver hockey riots. Priorities, priorities.

  17. “Angry Latin American Lady” seemed to come right out of an old Cheech and Chong movie.
Come to think of it, so did everyone else.

  18. I’ve come to really love this Ezra chap. You guys are very lucky to have him.

  19. In spite of “consensus” predictions to the contrary, Antarctic sea ice extent is breaking records TODAY.
West Antarctic ice sheet MAY collapse HUNDREDS OF YEARS FROM NOW.
    Which is more newsworthy?
And you wonder why the MSM is dying!

  20. The ignorance, bigotry, and hypocrisy on display as ferreted-out by Ezra would be frightening if the average participant was competent enough to ever make it to a polling booth but that would really be a stretch. Sadly, too many like-minded progressives do make it to the polls. Their attacks on Ezra were pure transference. With an education system increasingly devoid of critical thinking, this is the unfortunate product. Pabulum-in pabulum-out.

  21. The Chinese will finish running them out of Hongcouver before long.
Then it’ll be like a cheaper trip to Asia for the rest of us, without the red communism the Liberal left thought they were getting out of the deal.
Unfortunately the rest of the country, Alberta comes to mind, sees an uptick in liberal moonbat as they exercise their white flight privileges.
