“When asked if the North Pole belonged to Canada, Liberal leader Justin Trudeau said he would take the advice of scientists.”
Specifically, a scientist he calls Uncle Mo.
“When asked if the North Pole belonged to Canada, Liberal leader Justin Trudeau said he would take the advice of scientists.”
Specifically, a scientist he calls Uncle Mo.
Nobody gave him the heads up at the memorial service eh..?..
Trudeau is so spineless he’d ask for “advice” to breathe.
Since when have the geo-political boundries of a country ever been decided by scientists. Shiny pony just wanted to deflect the question until he had the opportunity to ask his scientist/handlers what a north pole was.
It is really depressing to think that this minion is going to be PM someday, come hell or high water. Obama’s slow motion implosion may make people think otherwise. But this moron in not going to get any bad press, he is going to be massaged like none ever and the Conservatives will be trashed at every opportunity.
Keep up the good work Kate!
Marc garneau is a scientist. He must grit his teeth every time the shiney poney flaps his gums
You know, we are going to get a liberal government next election if Eastern Canada continue their love affair with Junior. I cannot understand why more people are not calling the liberals on some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth when he gets off script. “lets keep the senate because it gives Quebec an advantage over the ROC” , “we should be more like China”, “Fidel is my hero”, “lets all smoke pot”. I still think there is time to salvage this thing but I would make a change at the leadership level, right now I would pick Jason Kenny to take us into the next election.
one will never go broke betting on the stupidity of the average voter.
Don’t think for a minute that this idiot will get any vetting from the Kim Kardashian media, Sun News is the only honest place for most news along with the blogs like this one that try to show Canada what a clown this little lisper is. The other so called news agencies are just swooning over Justy like they were, and some still are over “Glowbal Warming, Hole in the Ozone, Comming Ice Age, Acid Rain, CFC’s, Alar, Drowning Polar Bears, DDT, Rob Ford, Senate Scandal,” yada yada yada. These media people are parasitic idiots, they identify with Justy, they need Justy, they need contraversy to sell their budgie cage liner. But the end game ends the same for all parasites, if this idiot was ever able to fool enough idiots we would quickly see the 60 cent dollar again and be the laughing stock of the world right up there with the current US administration. Steven Harper is trying to run a steady tiller on a ship called Canada, but all he has is this media garbage in front of him all day long, the stinking liberals steal millions and the idiot media love them, the conservatives pay back fuzzy funds and it is a scandal, media people are a waste of oxygen.
“I cannot understand why more people are not calling the liberals on some of the stuff that comes out of his mouth when he gets off script…”
I think we all know why the MSM give Justin a pass, just like the American MSM give Obama a pass.
The media has always had biases since George Brown founded the Globe in 1844. These days it has become more blatant.
The North Pole belongs to Canada if we stick a guy with an artillery piece on it and have him shoot anybody who comes to take it away. Otherwise, not so much. This is the reality of territorial sovereignty.
For Shiny Pony to say “science” or the UN have anything to do with it is absolutely typical of the Liberal bureaucratic mind set. People don’t determine who owns things, even leaders of entire countries don’t decide stuff like that. Some corrupt @$$h0le in a back office at the UN does.
This to the Liberals is Leadership with a Capital “L”.
Meanwhile the Chicoms just unilaterally appropriated half the East China Sea. Somebody should ask the Pony what he thinks about that, and what he thinks the UN might be able to do about it.
I’m shocked he’d know to consult scientists. I would have assumed he’d ask Santa.
Pretty sure the ‘scientists’ will tell them whatever will get the grant.
Oooh! That guy is really dumb, worse than hillbilly dumb, sack of hammers dumb. The answer is “Yes the north pole has always belonged to Canada, what kind of a commie question is that?”
Election poison. Guy is a joke, for 2015 at least.
Shiny Pony stupidities aside, how can anyone “own” the North Pole? It is a spec on the map at 90 degrees N. latitude. The territories of countries with Arctic shoreline converge at that point. One inch off the pole in our direction, sure lay claim, just as the Russians would on their side. If you make such a claim, you must be prepared to make it a reality on the ground with some sort of presence — military, commercial or settlement or preferably all of them.
If Liberals find out they own the North Pole,
Santa Claus will get a tax bill for 16 billion dollars.
My grand-kids will address all future letters to Santa Claus/via Justin Trudeau, Canada..
wiki “In 1925, based upon the Sector Principle, Canada became the first country to extend its maritime boundaries northward to the North Pole, at least on paper, between 60°W and 141°W longitude, a claim that is not universally recognized (there are in fact 415 nmi (769 km; 478 mi) of ocean between the Pole and Canada’s northernmost land point).”
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Territorial_claims_in_the_Arctic
Canada has claimed the North Pole or a share of it since 1925 and bases its current claim on the continental shelf. It is amazing that someone wanting to be prime minister has never run into a map with the Alaska and Greenland borders extended to the pole or heard of this.
A question. Who is stupider, a high school gymn teacher or a high school drama teacher?
“Am I leading in the North Poll? What do other Polls say? How am I doing in the South Poll? Who is commissioning these Polls? Are these polls merely more conservative dirty tricks? I admire China’s basic polling….what are the root causes of the North Poll?”
“make it a reality on the ground”
There is no ground at the North Pole. It’s ice, floating in the arctic ocean.
Go ahead and plant your flag . . . but the ice moves around too.
More proof old Pierre must have been on some serious hardcore stuff when he sired his son.
As Forrest said: “stupid is as stupid does”
When the boy-prince says “scientists” he is of course referring to the hoards of true believers ensconced in various state sponsored organisations like Environmentalcase Canada etc. They are not actual scientists per se, rather post-normal scientist/politicians with degrees bestowed on them from like minded friends in academe. He can safely say he will rely on the edicts of these high priests because he knows they are all of like mind politically and without exception Marxist fellow travellers.
Trudeau does not posses his own concepts of such things — he is, after all, cognitively little more than a child — rather he simply regurgitates what he is told by the clever people he retains as advisers. Likely he was told to differ to “scientists” whenever he is at a loss to identify his positions on such matters.
Correction: Should have been “defer” not differ, as spell-check inserted.
Russian scientists or Canadian Scientists. Only an idiot would cede sovereignty based on Putin’s science pets.
Somewhat related in the settled science category – http://www.nytimes.com/2013/12/05/science/at-400000-years-oldest-human-dna-yet-found-raises-new-mysteries.html?partner=rss&emc=rss&smid=tw-nytimes&_r=0
“Math class is hard,” the Shiny Pony edition.
I normally trust science over politics; “thientithts” not so much.
Magnetic North…..totally ours (for the moment as it moves)
The axis pole, which wobbles a little can change maybe month to month, the geoologists here can tell you more exactly.
The north pole as defined by the manmade lines of lat and long…..we share some of that, I forget how many nations extend up to that pole. SO we has a certain number of degrees on the point.
But JT sensed he was out of his depth and likely needs a quick seminar on basic geography so he can answer.
As for the realpolitik of it all. Absolutley, you dont own what you dont defend or service, particularly if someone else does. JT’s should remember that.
At least we now know that he’s a United Nations puppet.
Guess that means he will be the next PM, and UN Agenda 21 will kick off full swing thereafter.
Enjoy you freedoms while you can, your grandchildren certainly won’t.
Absolutely k-99!
Trudeau seems to have complete faith in the UN,and THAT more than any of his other shortcomings is why we will have to work like hell in 2015 to see he’s defeated.
The decline and fall of the Liberal Party of Canada:
Sir Wilfrid Laurier, 1904: “The Twentieth Century belongs to Canada.”
Justin Trudeau, 2013: “I’ll take the advice of scientists.”
Kudos to whoever asked him the question instead of the usual softball stuff like, “How evil IS Harper?” Let’s have more “gotcha” questions. How about: “Does the sun’s activity affect Climate Change at all?”
What an awesome display of knowledge and leadership! I’m swooning I tell you!
Actually, there is a danger of PMSH not being re-elected in 2015, but it comes from the USA. Sometime within the next two years the USA might go into a hyperinflation cycle as people lose faith in the currency which is backed by nothing other than ‘the full faith and credit’ of the US government. If the US craters, every economy in the world will suffer. The Canadian populace may become scared enough that voters to look for an alternative to Harper despite the fact that he is one of the best leaders in the world and that Mulcair and ‘the son of my father’ (Keef?) are both Keynesian tax, borrow and spend nanny-state socialists.
Do we know this? I had suspected he was being backed by the UN horde, but did not know. I would mot be as pessimistic as most regarding Justin’s chances of becoming PM any time soon. He is feted at the moment and given a soft ride because it gives the left hope that they can dislodge Harper from the top job. Once an election comes around, the contrast between the capable and serious-minded Harper and the inexperienced dilettante will become very clear. No thinking Canadian could want him to be PM — though I think many think that voting for the Liberal “brand” is sufficient, you know, with the “Team” running things. Having an incompetent as Prime Minister would be such a disaster for Canadians. On some level, Justin’s supporters and all those media cheerleaders must know this. Today’s perspective re Trudeau is just about “pretending” he’s the guy. In my view, it is not going to happen.
We do have Santa’s north pole postal code, H0H 0H0, therefore by default the north pole belongs to Canada.
Actually, my view of US hyperinflation (which I agree is looking scary) — is that people will realize that it is good to have a smart guy like Harper trying to navigate the difficult waters. The risk of Justin running things in such difficult times should terrify people.
Communist parties are not above putting deep cover agents into (self-styled) non-communist parties—France’s Lionel Jospin is just one example.
One day it’ll come out that Justin Trudeau was a Chinese agent all along—cooperating with Beijing, no doubt, to ensure the Chinese kept their knowledge of the true depths of the depravity of Justin’s father (no prizes for guessing who recruited Justin for sodomy) out of the Canadian media. You heard it here first.
How refreshing it IS to read quotes from an HONEST, non-political scientist!
A month or so ago, I read a letter to the editor of one of the Cowichan Valley papers, regarding ‘Climate Change’…The writer adamantly stated that there is NO DEBATE about ‘Climate Change,’ which to me discredited her letter. There should always be debate and action, especially when we see how our lives are adversely affected by the policies brought in by global warming USERS, including the current and last BC premiers. GULLIBLE is not an adjective fitting conservatives!
Justin Trudeau lacks brain power. Why do the federal Liberals choose duds?
Knight99, the U.N. Agenda 21 has already kicked off, at the local level. It’s in full swing. Compliant and eager candidates are generously rewarded.
Trudeau would be a star at the UN some of the “right” connections are implanted in his DNA.
Thank God they didn’t ask him about the East Pole.
Jay, that’s a great comment! Cost me a mouth full of coffee!
er, from what I can see, the North Pole is in the middle of the ocean. What, exactly, are you going to claim? A piece of ice?
Obviously the media will do anything to get the retard Trudumb elected PM, but IMO that will never happen. Trudumb is far too stupid, terminally, and no amount of acting lessons and media corruption is going to change that. If anything, Trudumb is a mere distraction, the equivalent of running one of Pierre’s old turds, with hair. The corrupt Liberals might do slightly better than Iggo or Dijon with the moron boy as the figure head, but I doubt it. Trudumb has never done anything in his life for longer than two years, and play acting as PM material will be no different. After Trudummy and the Liberals are defeated again in 2015, Trustupid will take his straw filled head, his crazy wife, a big bag of weed, and his inheritance and take on a new acting role, something more appropriate for a substitute drama teacher and full time drama queen… perhaps if we’re really lucky he’ll move to the country he admires most, China. The Canadian electorate may be stupid, but they’re not suicidal.
Look, we all know that Justin Trudeau running for PM is as close to a National IQ test as you can get. One I’m pretty sure we will lose.
But let’s face it, PM Harper and company have done little or nothing to advance any conservative cause, let alone change the landscape in any way.
This party, my party, is about getting re-elected. Period. Jerks.
Lost opportunity. Further down the rabbit hole. A disgusting Liberal-like disdain for freedom and liberty. And we’ll pay dearly for it. Liberal governance. Thanks.
Hey, he was peer-reviewed!
I am more sanguine about the future of the Conservatives facing the Shiny Pony in an election. Right now it is easy for the media to prop up Justin and ignore his silly statements. In an election campaign this will prove very difficult, as he will be forced to respond to issues on a daily basis. Canadian elections have over the past few cycles, been affected by the debates. My teenage daughter could wipe the walls with Trudeau in a debate. PMSH would decimate him. I am guessing that the strategy is to let (not so young) Trudeau continue his gong show until the writ drops and then armed with a cornucopia of his Trudumbisms, a successful counter attack will be effective. They will wait until they see the whites (well, the pot induced LA road map like) of his eyes before they fire.
In the meantime, enjoy and laugh at the media tongue bath for wee Justin for laughter is indeed the best medicine.
Lastly I agree with the previous commenter who opined that if the US goes south economically (no Justin we have no claims on the south pole), Canadians will wish to have a grown up at the tiller.
Then again, I live in a world where by Bell box resets to the TMZ channel every day and Bob Fife is considered a reporter. Sigh. Time to reach for the Ilse de Jura.
His peers should have been independently audited for smarts!:)
“PM Harper and company have done little or nothing to advance any conservative cause, let alone change the landscape in any way. ” I disagree with this. Harper has made a lot of changes — tons — like getting rid of a lot of those Liberal hanger-on groups that have been here forever, shifting responsibility for health care to the Provinces, even the Quebec Nation statement which many don’t agree with but which was in my view like letting off a steam valve. I live near the Quebec border and under the Liberals, Quebec issues were on the front burner all the time . . . not so much now. Again, many have criticized, but I even like the refocus on our British Heritage. Lots of people could care less about the Queen, and I don’t specially care about the Royals either, but they are the best we have as symbols that Canada has an English heritage. This was totally being lost under Liberals. Quebecers revere their history and remember it every Fete Nationale. Anglophone history was being lost under the mantle of multi-culturalism, and I think it was being done deliberately. I am sure others have other good things they can point to re what Harper has accomplished. I shudder to think of the Liberals being in charge ever again.
As has been said here before, the PMO has too much power. Hot tempered, dim witted impulsive Junior is exactly the wrong type of person for power. Combine that with a shattered disarray of a liberal party unable to temper his whimsy and PM Justin is a barely conceivable nightmare. Given a choice between him and Mulcair, I’d honestly take the latter. At least things would be predictably bad.
YOU WANT TO SEE CANADA GO TO WAR? GIVE CHINA OR THE USSR OR THE USA FOR THAT MATTER THE NORTH POLE!! that is ours and I will be extremely upset to the point of drawing arms to defend our northern soverntiy
Stephen Harper impresses me as being similar to the old Liberal Party PMs such
as St. Laurent. They were fairly conservative men. I do wish that PMSH were more conservative.
My students inform me that Justin has been touring Canadian high schools for some time now,
talking to the high school students, and this has really made a positive impression. They also
opined that the current attack ads are justified in content but overly harsh in tone.
There is no thought that politics does affect daily life, employment opportunities etc., except
through direct giveaways. The notion that competent, honest, limited government is good
for people, most people, nearly all people, is simply absent from today’s political discourse.
And yet to em it is a central conservative tenet.
