Investigation of the story reveals that while the samples were supposed to be “voluntary”, the setup included a sensor system that sampled your breath for alcohol as soon as you opened your window to tell the nice federal employees to “F— OFF!” As in, long before you signed the voluntary permission form.
    We may also be sure that there was at least one police cruiser with a license plate camera system, photographing plates the whole time.
    In other news, the United States Government would like to have full control over your car. They don’t have to have cops directing traffic then, the car will just go where they want it to.

    Buy any wreck older than 1989 is my advice. Diesel with mechanical fuel injection by preference, they can burn just about anything from vodka to paraffin wax and straight-up french fry grease. Just strain out the lumps.

  3. In this situation, ask them to show you their ID before doing anything else. If they are not state or local police officials, use your cell phone, call 911, give your location, and report that you are being detained by individuals pretending to be law enforcement officers. (Federal officials lack authority to do a traffic stop. Contractors definitely lack authority.) If they are LEOs, show them your identification, and repeat asking if you are free to go. If they say no, tell them that you want to contact your lawyer. If they refuse that, call 911, give your location and report that you are being detained by individuals purporting to claim they are LEOs, but who are behaving in a suspicious and possibly criminal manner.

America now has a political elite class not unlike the old Soviet Union and it is this class/cabal which is set against the people in the struggle for political/economic power. The people must be kept controlled and subservient to the new ascending political order, and that order is distinctly unAmerican.

    The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
    Some people with badges need shooting, that’s why the 2nd Amendment exists.
    Following illegal orders is no excuse.
    These police should have arrested whomever issued such orders immediately.
    If these were off-duty police who did this, charge them with impersonating a police officer and jail them.

    This Country will survive, but don’t expect it to ever return to the 80’s. This is the new Amerika, just the way the elites want it.
    I guess it will be up to President Hillary to disarm the Nation as Obama doesn’t seem quite up to it. Maybe he doesn’t want to be accused of racism.

    You don’t get much more batsh*t crazy than believing that bullsh*t religion. Mormonism, up there with scientology, is proof that “faith” is a weakness, not a virtue.
    As per the story, I already live in a country where you can have your car seized and face a driving prohibition before any due process. How is that any less worse than this?
    Besides, even if you could find a reason to justify this intrusion into our rights, voluntary samples would have ZERO scientific value. What sane individual would voluntarily give up a positive sample to authorities?

    Imagine, if you can, the various institutions of the state making war on its citizens. How else to describe the recent revelations about the doings of the EPA, the NSA, the IRS, the DOJ, etc.

  22. Getting past that deranged hatred of people who choose to hold faith and specifically the issue of Beck, he(Beck) has been consistently accurate in analyzing situations and pointing to likely consequences. He has been wrong in some matters but proven correct in many more.
    This issue of the growing trend where the state is stomping all over individual rights is just another tick in his win column and a slap in the face to his many detractors.
    Beck is RIGHT and it has nothing to do with his faith other than perhaps having the strength of will and character to persevere in the face of rabid personal attacks that his detractors seem to rely on.

    I may not agree with their methods, but I certainly admire the result. Strong families, excellent universities, the State of Utah. I’d almost consider believing in American Jesus if Alta and Snowbird were within 1/2 hour of my home.
