  1. I believe in solar energy… I’m outside sitting in it now. Can I get money for turning all this energy I’m absorbing into work too? I’m as efficient as any alternative power source (yeah, not that efficient).
btw, I hope Saskatchewan has their A/C turned on today. It’s going to be a stinker from what I hear.

  2. Green Jobs are the Future!
I almost feel sorry for the young people that fell for these lies, and now will be out of a job.

  3. Exactly, well now, maybe they can get a job as trash collectors and then recycling these panels.
Having said that, there are places and situations where they fulfill an application. For example, one of my sons-in-law uses solar panels to power electric cattle fences. A step-nephew uses them up at his hunting lodge in norther Saskatchewan.

It’s great technology … in the right place …. like remote locations and space. But once the politicians and the schemers got in the game ….. logic went out the window.
    And religion in ain’t.

  5. They work just fine on the flat roofs of large building across the US sunbelt. Putting up solar panels everywher hoping for a significant amount of energy would be like just drilling wells until you find oil with no exploration to locatew the best locations.
The science, technology and engineering isn’t faulty, but rather the political meddling in the marketplace to buy votes and subsidize their investor buddies.

  6. I read an interesting article a few weeks ago…wish I could source it but I can’t remember where I encountered it. Essentially it compared the US govt subsidies to the number of new “green jobs” generated…which turned out to be about 900 intotal. Which translated into each permanent job costing the govt about $950K. Have we all collectively gone mad???

  7. One sad note on all this nonsense is that most of the heavily subsidized
production units for a lot this German solar flim flamery were set up in
the old DDR, courtesy of their west German socialist politician brethren
and union big shots. The decade after the DDR collapse was devoted to the
goal of ensuring old east Germany would never get on a fast track recovery
via lower wages and foreign investment that would impact west Germans. At
least not until their “brothers” in west Germany had decided they had been
thoroughly indoctrinated first in how things were to be done. Becoming
government supplicants for a decade was deemed as a good start. Those who
became impatient at this scenario could take themselves elsewhere to west
Germany and beyond. Foreign investors seeking to open real factories with
thoughts of making real products needed at home and abroad could look to
    Poland, etc.
