If you’ll indulge some of my obscure tastes, this is a Ennio Morricone piece from one of the lesser known (but brilliant) Spaghetti Westerns – “Duck You Sucker” aka “Fist Full of Dynamite.”
It is not like Ennio’s standard music from the final duel scenes in “The Man With No Name” trilogy, but it is unique enough to perhaps entertain you.
I also HIGHLY recommend “Duck You Sucker” as a movie. It is a close second to “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly” in my opinion in that in a very similar fashion to THe Good, The Bad and The Ugly, as well as “Midnight Run,” and “Heat,” you have two men opposed to each other by societal/political/economic forces, but whose personalities make them realize they are tragically great friends and soul brothers.

Ok…that’s pretty grim for music. My dear ol’ pa used to say “If you can’t dance to it , it isn’t music.” I presented this for rebuttal and won my first concession from the old man.

Of course I actually had to go buy the record which I considered high on the suck meter but it was well worth it. If I had known Rap ( music ?) was just around the corner I could have saved a few bucks.
Good one, C.C.
Instrumentation-wise, I bet Ennio & Brian Wilson would’ve gotten along pretty well!
“You, my friend, are going to be a HERO of the Revolution!”
“I don’ wanna be no hero.”
“Too bad.”
‘Don’t mean to change the subject, but Ennio Morricone’s soundtrack for The Mission is heartachingly beautiful.
