  1. “Canadian researchers suggest men’s preference for younger women throughout history is what led to the gene mutation that triggered menopause.
“What we’re talking about is a population phenomenon,” said study author Rama S. Singh, a biology professor at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario”
Finally. Proof from one of the pedo prophets followers that having sex with 9 year old girls causes older women to be PO’d and screw up their chemical balance. Next they will be saying that having sex after 40 leads to dementia.Or global warming.
The only good thing to come out of McMasters was an empty bus.

  2. “according to a new study. Canadian researchers suggest men’s preference for younger women………”
These liberal freaks need to be hauled before the Canadian Human Rights Commission!
They absolutely offended both Muslim men and western gays by neglecting their sexual preference for little boys.

  3. Hey, they used a computer model so their findings are likely just as robust as those of the Hadley center in its predictions of British climate for the last 14 years. Unlike spermatozoa, female eggs don’t age very well. Just look up the likelyhood of a 45 year old woman having a Downs syndrome child in comparison to a 20 year old female. 80 year old men (with sufficient quantities of cash to make them attractive to 20 year old females) are quite capable of fathering normal children; that is if they haven’t experienced andropause.
I’m curious if the authors of this paper looked at the casualties from male on male competition for women. In primitive societies roughly 1/3 of males die as a result of violence, most often in fighting over who gets the right to reproduce with a desirable female. That culling of the male gene pool over the last few millenia is likely what’s responsible for the innate aggressiveness and high upper body strength of males (except for metrosexuals and moonbats who are an example of devolution in action).
Humans are designed to only last about 40 years or so as the basic functions of reproduction can be completed in the first 2-3 decades of life. I very much doubt that many Neanderthal women made it to an age where they would experience menopause as the death rate of women in childbirth has always been quite high — that’s what happens when you get a steadily enlarging brain and a more slowly enlarging female pelvis; just one of the many design faults of the current meatware design. From an evolutionary perspective, there’s absolutely no benefit for females to reproduce after the age of about 35 or so as the cumulative mutations in eggs are just too great.
We’re in a new era now having to tinker with a meatware system that we’ve decided should be longer lived. One of my more grandiose plans when I first went to medical school was to discover the secret of human life extension so I could then pursue my primary goal which was to get on a colony ship traveling to another star system (meatware turned out to be a lot more complex than I initially thought). I expect we’ll probably get human lifespans up to 150 years or so in the near future but this will require an aggressive program of anti-aging drugs and fetal cell neuronal transplants as substantia nigra cells die at a steady rate so that everyone by age 120 or so will have Parkinsons disease. The only thing I can’t understand is why some women chose to not treat menopause as hormone replacement therapy is very simple and preserves brain function (loss of estrogen is one of the factors implicated in Alzheimer’s disease).

  4. Sorry to be that person, but Singh is a Sikh name. (In fact, I think it might be the only Sikh name. Which rather obviates the point of having names at all I would have thought.)

  5. They got the cause and effect backwards. It’s women acting menopausal that causes men to go looking for younger women.
It’s pretty obvious the researchers never lived with one.

  6. You’re right. Mad cow disease is no laughing matter. Men die younger than women because they want to.

  7. No need to look any further for explanations of this lunacy.
From the good professor’s bio on the McMaster site. http://www.biology.mcmaster.ca/singh/
“Evolutionary genetics: molecular genetics of speciation in Drosophila; evolution of sex- and reproduction-related genes; evolution of human diversity and social systems (e.g., the Indian Caste System).”
    Drosphila = fruit fly

  8. In our million year evolution the average lifespan was significantly lower than now, likely something less than 40, it was 46 around 1900. Most women would not have experienced menopause , more like a quick menostop- drop dead.
projecting this on our modern lifespan of 50 years on followed by 30 years of pause is a bit daft.
humans have had a long tendency to neoteny, ie looking younger as we evolve. reminants of our former selves are most left in the male — more body hair , facial hair , thicker body, darker skin and probably attitude.
females have trended to neoteny more, hairlessness and less threatening appearance retaining more child features longer.

  9. Wouldn’t you know that there had to be a fabricated voodoo science “finding” to placate the vanity of frumpy old misandrists who feel threatened by pretty young women – and of course it’s all the fault of those evil menzzz – onward the castrating sisterhood strides.

  10. Is there nothing left in the World that is not Men’s fault .Particularly white men? According to these Women?

  11. every member of a new generation is born with genetic changes..
if they are favorable , these changes will lead the next generation to flourish..
they will continue the successful changes and have more changes, of course..
    menopause is a plus…otherwise it wouldn’t survive..

  12. Loki – most concise and rational discussion to date.
The study’s logic is screwy anyway – becoming sterile is never a plus thing for biological success (which is of course measured in terms of how many times your genes get passed around). Looking after grandchildren when you become sterile is of course a good way of ensuring your genes survive, but it’s a ‘fall-back plan’ at best, decidedly second-best. Moreover, it’s pretty much a given that the males are not very selective; although they would put most of their effort towards mating with young females, older females could (assuming fertility) still have got enough ‘attention’ to reproduce.
One of the reasons males of the species gravitate to firm skin, unsagging breasts and behinds and such is precisely because such things are indicators of fertility. (All other things being equal, of course.) In other words, the study has the cart before the horse. Older females are more likely to be unsuccessful mating partners; that’s why the males are ‘programmed’ to be strongly attracted to younger females.
Anyway, I wonder who is to blame for prostate ‘issues’, the problem most men start running into about the same time women hit menopause?

  13. “…80 year old men (with sufficient quantities of cash to make them attractive to 20 year old females) – Loki
Yup, like in the case of that very aged media mogul whose young oriental wife is going to be very rich after the divorce. His previous wife came out of it with $1 billion+. Way to go, girls!!

  14. They tested the theory on a virtual population,
    using a computer simulation

Was that theory a simulation or stimulation?
The actual research was really long, hard, and heart pounding.
Looking up firm bodied, bikini clad, red haired younger women having Old men lusting for them,
and then trying to type up several thousand pages of results with just one hand..
Is it getting hot in here,
    or is it just me?

  15. Gee, the evolutionists made up another story. I wouldn’t have thought it of them…

  16. @Black Mamba, actually Singh is not only a Sikh name. One of my daughters-in-law is Hindu from a Hindu family and her maiden name was Singh. In fact the whole clan carrying the name Singh is Hindu, not Sikh. It does seem that many in BC with the name Singh are Sikh I grant, and in fact I was once under the same impression as you.
So it seems that males are responsible for everything undesirable according to this “study”. Why am I not surprised? Typical useless rubbish is all I can say, other than I do wonder why grants continue to be doled out for this. Mind you there is no end to all the rent-seakers producing one ridiculous “study” or another.

  17. As a young male it was difficult to get a date with a girl your own age. Girls were going out with older guys that had cars, jobs, & motorbikes. As long as girls go out with older guys then this is the logical conclusion. So what do you do? Go out with a younger girl.
Why stop at Men causing Menopause? How about Menstruation or Mental illness?

  18. fearless leader
one has to wonder how many pregnant hands this study caused with that damning on line research:-)))

  19. “…The only good thing to come out of McMasters was an empty bus…”
Hey! That’s enough of that shit! I’ll have you know that there are only two kinds of people: MacMasters…and those who wished they was! 😉
Now, as for those dickheads who dropped the “a”….
