Actually, that’s not true; she did make sounds with her mouth:
“As a practicing and respectful Catholic, this is sacred ground to me when we talk about this,” Pelosi said. “This shouldn’t have anything to do with politics.”
This, remarkably, at a political press conference during which the politician “condemned a bill that would prohibit abortions during the final four months of pregnancy.”

During the vice-presidential debate, Biden, when discussing abortion, stated he was a Catholic, but… he didn’t think he had the right to impose his views on others.
I remember thinking at the time that I was glad that the average American or Canadian didn’t mind imposing there views on others in the early 40’s.
EBD; don’t get me started on Pelosi – that twisted old harridan is so deep in the corruption she hasn’t had a virtuous hesitation or ethical impulse or attack of conscience for so long (if ever) that her moral compass points only to the most politically expedient escape route. If ever there was a lost soul this is it. It shouldn’t surprise us how a simple moral decision escapes her and leaves her speechless.
Yeah well, my translation of Pelossi’s remarks:

Pelosi’s about as Catholic as I am.

I don’t think that the word “sacred” means the same to her as it does most folks. She’s a mess of a person.
One could leave completely aside her putative Catholicism, her morality, her political affiliation, and everything else about her and still be utterly gobsmacked by her apoplexy-inducing irrationality, passive-aggressiveness, unaccountability, and her outright, bald-assed *lies*.
When she asserts “They are saying that there’s no abortion. It would make it a federal law that there would be no abortion in our country” she’s telling a *lie*, she knows she’s telling a lie, but she does it anyway to inflame the low-information voters who form the Democratic base.
It’s appalling for someone in her position to tell a complete lie in this manner.
It’s the Wasserman-Schultz syndrome: she has a god-given right, as a public spokeswoman for the ruling party, to utter complete falsehoods with a derisive sneer whenever she wants, because she’s a woman and a Democrat.
It would be one thing if she was some stupid 18-year-old arguing in the hallway of, I don’t know, Belt Parkway Community College, but she’s the House Democratic Leader of the ruling party of the most powerful nation on earth. Her behaviour is shameful and completely inexcusable.
It’s not about low standards at this point, it’s about no standards.

The “Pelosification” of America…her position on abortion is a Catholic punchline.
Interviewing Pelosi on abortion, is like the old Monty Python character “Charles Paisley the Baby Crusher” responding the beheading, crushing and incineration of children is somehow a societal good.
Hell bring on Hillary Clinton and “Ben Ghazify” the topic, “What difference at this point, does it make?”

Pelosi wanted to reintroduce the Fairness Doctrine, where radio and television were forced to provide balanced coverage of the issues of the day.
Such a doctrine would likely be considered unconstitutional today and would almost certainly be subject to horrendous political bias in its enforcement. But of course Pelosi thinks this would be great a way to shut down Fox News. That such a doctrine could just as easily be used against MSNBC doesn’t occur to her addled brain.

It is one thing to be an idiot but I really have to shake my hear in bewilderment at trying to classify those voters that put her in office repeatedly.

Pelosi appears here to be a hypocrite or double-dealer. However, she is internally self-consistent, as are all insane people.
Her right to her own personal beliefs must not be impinged upon by opponents; she has the right to hold them. Her public right to have them is acknowledged. Thus her opponents must not dispute her since they are either in error, or oppressing her views. Her public positions are not her private positions. Although, externally, we may observe hypocracy; internally she is completely self-consistent.
But, as long as she is in control of the political environment, and raking it in for hubbyqpr, what does she care?

I’m curious up to what age Pelosi considers the use of post-natal abortions appropriate? Presumably her silence on Gosnel’s post-natal abortions means that she’s in favor of the practice. Thus, rather than arguing over Florida’s stand your ground law, Zimmerman’s lawyers should use Pelosi’s argument that Zimmerman was simply performing a post-natal abortion on Trayvon.
My gut feeling is that the dumbocrats consider post-natal abortion to be indicated for Tea party members, Conservatives and those people who embarrass them such as the person who leaked the details of widespread surveillance of all American communications (except for mosques of course).
