  1. When I was a young buck and occasionally got into trouble with the law, no one offered me a sentencing circle as an option. Don’t recall anyone paying for my schooling, either. Same with my housing. If this is a privilege, you can have it.

    What does this have to do with preserving benefits, or ‘fighting’ for a 2% wage increase? Those are debatable points for a union/employer relationship.

  21. Well, I am white because my ancestors were white. I didn’t have much say in the matter. I would guess you are in the same position. My ancestors traded with the natives for furs and tobacco and other items. Now my ancestors don’t trade for tobacco and furs anymore, they have moved on, it’s about time you did too, don’t you think?

  22. So when our pioneering ancestors came here a century or so ago. When most of them had to build a one room shack made out of sod, and raise enough food and feed to make it through the winter. Had no health care, apart from the neigbhour wives being midwives. Had a rope guiding the path from the house to the barn to keep from getting lost and frozen to death in a blizzard… just born with a silver spoon in their mouths all aristocrats were they?
    Identity politics is history only for those who wallow in ignorance.
    Western Civilization progressed because of those courageous of mind and body who overcame the ignorant ideologies of their day. Nothing has changed.

    Are white Britons privileged, in the New World and the Old? Aye, they are, and like all privileges must be, they’ve earned every one with their blood and their toil. Do these jackasses really think their miserable tribes have a right to dictate to the British people? Let’s see them beat us in a fair fight and earn our respect. So far anybody who’s tried it has only succeeded in getting a well-deserved lesson in humility from the British army.

  31. When my ancestors came to Canada in 1631 they wanted food, water, and shelter. They cleared the land, built farms, dug wells, and grew food. My family were also blacksmiths and sawyers; with useful skills to trade and barter with cart-wrights, millers, tailors, cobblers, coopers, and all the other trades and talents needed to operate a viable community. Their relations with their aboriginal neighbors were mutually beneficial; I’m proud of my Metis heritage. My family and the people they worked and traded with prospered. Nobody ever expected the King of France or the local government to take care of them.

  34. I’m white but I’m a visible minority (and discriminated against) because I’m left-handed and people can see that! I’m also an audible minority because I have a distinctive accent – when do I get privileges?

  35. Has anyone reported these morons to the HRC for racism? What about the case of someone like myself who tans very dark? Does that mean I only have white privilege during the winter but become an oppressed minority during a summer that I spend a lot of time outside? I have a picture of my tree planting crew from the 1970’s and I found it hard to find the black guy on our crew amongst our highly tanned skins. Some of us had all over tans as, since it was damn hot that year, a few of our crew decided to plant wearing only the required hard hat and steel toed boots.
    I see no difference between this idiocy and refusing service to a black person because of the color of their skin. The latter action is now illegal whereas discrimination against “whites” is legal and in fact encouraged by moonbats.
    Just reminded me of a conversation I had in a bar some 30+ years ago with a black student from Africa about the horrendous effects of “colonialism” on his country. He was telling me how people needed the right to self-determination but suddenly changed the subject when I asked him if he was against the Nigerian military suppression of the Ibo tribe or in favor of the separation of Eritrea? His prediction was that once the “white oppressors” were gone then Africa could attain its true potential. Too bad I don’t know where to find the guy now to ask him about Rhodesia again; I believe his prediction was that that country would finally be freed from its chains and would prosper once the white oppressors were defeated. This guy would have been a true believer in white privilege now as, in the views of a person of limited intellect, all the whites were rich and thus they must be privileged. Trying to argue about factors such as hard work, education and a scientific cultural upbringing with such people is about as hopeless as trying to convince a cargo-cultist that their carefully constructed “airport” won’t suddenly results in planes loaded with supplies landing there.
    The problem we have as realists is just not being blunt enough when we encounter morons. If I had been at that meeting I would be calling out the moron who put up that slide on his racism (as well as asking him if I could continue to view myself as an oppressed minority if I spent the winter in Florida). While politeness and avoiding conflict are policies that work when one is in the company of reasonable people, the person with the deranged beliefs that are the subject of this post is not reasonable. Different tactics are required with such people.
    Fortunately, it’s still legal to use logic to destroy their positions and, when they’ve gotten frustrated enough to physically attack you, beat the crap out of them. They likely view logic (which they’re unable to comprehend or use) as a tool of oppression since the “white” races are the best at using it. Also, likely innumerate and angry that “white” people are able to use numbers and comprehend such esoteric topics as calculus.

  39. White privelege? Really? Where was my white privelege when I was refused a job in Bob Rae’s Ontario? Jobs Ontario was an NDP program to put young people to work and get job experience. That is, as long as you were brown and english was your fifth language! I only got an interview from the smug liberal arts qualified office drone in charge of the local Jobs Ontario office because I lied and told her I was “indo-Canadian over the phone. When I went in I was told there were no spots available and told to leave. Meanwhile, the waiting area was full of Somalis waiting for their job interviews! Yeah, under the left we will be relegated to second class status even though we are the ones who built this country. The left will not be happy until they destroy their own country and turn it into a third world dump. A huge race to the bottom for them!

  40. How about a generalization? Everyone hates East Indians and they are all millionaires. If you sit around and wait until Whitie makes you rich or allows you to be rich, you’re going to be waiting a long time. An individual’s wealth or poverty depends on himself alone. Immigrant groups that have done well don’t wait for some pasty ass guy give him a job, they make their own job. You see a lot of ambitious Somalis running convenience stores or dealing drugs – an ambitious bunch.

    Back in the day, I had no difficulty finding gainful employment because of my long nose (the general term for a caucasion in the 3rd world). And ya know…they were so right.
    Yeah anglo-saxons have a well earned right to a sense of superiority…..they are the ones who laid the telegraph cables world wide, built the roads and railroads, introduced rule of law for a time and also for a time ended the international slave trade.
    Check out the former colonies of the wogs (all them place’s t’other side of the channel). Few roads, law-lessness and chaos spreading to the rest.
