Happy Thanksgiving to Our American Friends

Though the U.S. is experiencing some difficult times these days, Americans still have a whole lot to be thankful for. On this special day of reflection, it is important to remember who is mostly responsible for ensuring that the safety, freedom, and prosperity of America’s citizens exists in the first place and will continue into the future.

  1. I too wish a Happy Thanksgiving to any American ‘cousins’ visiting this site. I met many American sailors in my navy days and quickly realized that there is no other country on earth that I would want to share a 5000km border with.
    Go Lions!

  2. Cool! Too bad Shannon wasn’t there.
God Bless and thank you to the US and Canadian militaries.

  3. A big thank you from the American heartland. One of the things that I’m thankful for today (and there are far too many to list) is our good neighbor to the north.

  4. Just great to listen to this and a Happy Thanksgiving to my American relatives and friends. May both our military personnel always stand tall and be there for all of us.

  5. That was a fantastic tribute by Simmons.
Happy Thanksgiving to the US and God Bless.
Hopefully our American friends will elect politicians that will be able to turn away from the disastrous financial course it is on.
Question, does anyone know the significance of the raised hand with the index and pinky fingers extended? This did not appear to be derogatory.

  6. Way to bring one’s spirits up!
That gathering was the complete antithesis of the OWS crowd…Very refreshing.
Good old heavy metal still represents Conservative strengths in many ways and Simmons from Kiss is not ashamed to show his patriotism…That’s one family in Hollywood that won’t be invited to a neighborhood get together anytime soon…Is “Family Jewels” over?
To all our American friends and their family and friends visiting SDA…
Happy Thanksgiving and God Bless America!

Being Gene Simmons is from the heavy metal band Kiss, some soldiers gave the “horns” of approval…It’s an old head bangers sign related to the hard rock, heavy metal world among many other significance.

  8. God bless America, the best neighbors Canada could ever hope for.Happy Thanksgiving to all south of the border, both our countries have much to be thankful for.

  9. RHTT, thank you for the information.
Heavy metal and Kiss are not really my cup of coffee, but is a patriot and not an America hater like those on the left.

  10. That was awesome. God bless America. The best neighbors we could ask for.
Go Lions. BC or Detroit — love them both.

  11. Couldn’t help noticing the air force lady in fatigues with glasses, (muslim?) wasn’t enjoying it, and singing seemed a bit forced.

  12. Now ya know why each election the absentee ballots are deliberately mailed late to the troops and why the Dems object to enumerating the absentee ballots especially during a re-count…
    Like in Minnesota….remember Al Franken?

  13. Happy Thanksgiving to my friends to the South and North. Thanks to America’s “By the People, for the People” I get to enjoy the freedom that I do.

  14. Happy thanksgiving America! We had ours already and it was great. Next year when the Keystone XL pipeline is underway and thousands more can afford 20lb turkeys for their family’s it will be even better. ?What, what do you mean there’s no pipeline for Americans? Hmmmm, fum ducks!

  15. I wish my American friends a day of thanks giving and reflection – thee is a lot less to give thanks for than there was last year or seveal decades ago. I wish you luck in reclaiming your once great republic from the looters and fascists who have taken it over.

  16. The Few, the Strong, the Brave.
I was moved by how the Marines stood at attention when their Hymn was played (as is tradition). When you are the elite you play the role.
Happy Thanksgiving to our neighbor to the south. As a half generation Canadian (my father came up in the 50’s after his family came up and back down during the depression). I still value him introducing me to Jefferson, Madison, and after his death, my discovery of Locke and the rest of the late enlightenment. Truly the greatest human achievement.
God Bless America, hope you had a nice day…happy shopping.

  17. One of the things that almost all Americans are thankful for — and all should be thankful for — is our wonderful Canadian neighbors.
I can’t think of another nation I would rather have as a neighbor.

  18. Thanks, so much, for this video and the Thanksgiving well-wishes! We had a nice, small gathering but the food was good, the conversation was centered on what we were grateful for, and we focused on the important things in our lives.
It is wonderful to discover you all in this community! I’m so glad to hear there are still good, conservative people to our North. Thank you for your desire that we’re able to elect the correct people. That is my earnest prayer, too. I’m from Minnesota so I had to endure the ‘election’ of Franken to our senate. It was maddening, to say the least.
Thanks, again, and I’m with Jim — you are the best neighbors we could possibly have!
