  1. Agreed; the key cause and focus of the IPCC is to preserve those fantastic jobs with those ridiculous salaries, pensions and benefits…all for spouting sheer empty rhetorical nonsense.
    This is the definitive characteristic of the Left; they live in a Virtual World alienated from objective reality; they live in a world-created-by-words. Just words. No reality.
    Obama is a prime example. He’s declared that the war in Libya is ‘not a war’ and does not need congressional approval because there are no ground troops. Ahh, so all those bombs falling to that very ground from US planes are..ummm..non-hostile. Or ‘kinetic actions’?
    And the fact that the people engaged in these actions are all military..that’s irrelevant as well.
    Abd terrorism is ‘man-caused disasters’; and the way to deal with the high cost of gas is to inflate your tires..or buy an electric car; and doctors cut off limbs for money; and the Mexican wall is ‘finished’ even when only 1/3 is completed; and..and…
    It’s fun to live in a Virtual World. You never, ever have to be accountable to the Real World. Or to Real People.

  4. Yesterday, I attended a graduation at SFU (Socialism Forever University) where a large crowd of aging hippies sat shivering under blankets to hear a half-hearted call for more action to solve the problems of the world — global warming was mentioned prominently.
    I didn’t hear any other laughter and a few self-deluded activists glared at me for my lack of solidarity.
    We were then treated to an endorsement of this academic treasurehouse as a beacon to humanity where all the latest knowledge would be readily available.
    Then I thought of the similar false promises made at my graduation forty years ago at another bastion of socialism. Well, I made the most of my education, fat lot of good it did my country though. Actually, it made me see that my country was mentally ill on a grand scale.

  5. Peter O’Donnell – we could definitely hang. The image of shivering aging hippies bemoaning global warming in the Failed Vancouver Spring of 2001 gave me fits of chuckles.
    And anyway, how educated could they be on this issue when they don’t seem to know that the odious Dr. Phil Jones himself has admitted there hasn’t been any warming in 15 years?

  10. Michael H Anderson: note Dr. Phil Jones himself has also admitted, during an interview in Australia, that the Medieval Warm covered the entire Northern Hemisphere. Sadly, he went on to say that we do not have enough data to know what was happening in the Southern Hemisphere, strongly implying that deleting MWP from “global” charts is perfectly OK because one can “adjust” it out of existence by assuming an opposite Medieval Cool for the Southern Hemisphere.

  11. Phil Jones still the same liar. Science can’t “assume” data, it has to actually have real data to work with. What Dr. Jones is suggesting is not science.
    Moreover, there’s lots of data that confirms the Medieval Climate Optimum also happened in the southern hemisphere. He’s apparently ignorant too.
