  1. “As he worked, his BlackBerry buzzed;”

Ahh,of course, the old ways are the best, but oh boy,I can’t live without all the white man’s conveniences.

    Typical native activist BS.

  2. I’ll note at this time that kids playing has been morphed into “BMX bikers” for whom a “new location” must be found, so that the park can be “returned to its original condition”.
Eventually the Mohawk Imbecile Society will get back to its smuggling and drinking, the city workers will get back to sleeping in their trucks, and the kids will have their bike jumps back together in a day or two.
I find the cycle of futility and waste motion typical of Liberal politics. Tax cut now please.

  3. I don’t know what’s going on here. What is Rob Ford doing? Is he trying to use these protesters to get rid of BMX bikers and repair the ‘damage’ they caused? Why? If he is using them, he’s being too clever by half.

  4. It’s time for a final deal with Native-Canadians and an end to hyphenated Canadian status.
A final payout, and then Canadians, who happen to have Native ancestors, will have to live like the rest of us: sink or swim on your own dime and your own smarts. No more I’m-special-because-I-was-here-before-you-were.
Different laws for different groups within Canada isn’t working. While we don’t allow two-tier medicare, we allow two-tier citizenship. That’s got to stop.

  5. I worked for the city of Toronto in the 80’s for a few summers and did mucho landscaping in that section of the park..no Indian items were ever found, but we found a British cartridge box plate and a British officer’s buckle, all from the late 1700’s-early 1800’s..

  6. Make this into a bum park so the delicate senses of the Illiterate of Toronto can get a dose of reality.

  7. In National Post, in comments to that article someone wrote:
So thank you, City of Toronto, for being just like that kumbaya salad-tossing guiltophile….
I think that this word –“guiltophile“– precisely describe behavior of some people, don’t you?

  8. Apparently the folks who have jurisdiction are being bypassed
in favour of the NDP-MSM First Nations GTA media pets.
“I don’t understand or have any rationale for his
claims in the park,” says Kris Nahrgang, elected
chief of the Kawartha Nishnawbe First Nations of
Burleigh Falls, a band of over 700 whose treaty
    territory includes the GTA.

  9. Want them out?
Just ignore them and they will go away eventually. Canada is a big country, lots of riding trails.

Hahaha….that’s exactly how I feel about any and all annoying little aches and pains.
