Hey BJ , I work at a local University, there are over 1300 of us here that pay the samething on Health Care Insurance, plus we combined with 10 other Universities including LSU and NLU and several other small colleges. My insurance premiums are not an anomally.
On your “Public Options” polls, I didn’t see any links to backup your statements. Can you provide some ?
And last but not least, you didn’t answer my question, so I assume you are either a disgruntled Canadian Liberal or an Obabot.

BJ, the average US citizen working for a private company has their Health Insurance paid for them, or they pay a lower percentage. It’s called Company Benefits. Have you not heard of McDonald’s, Wal-Mart, Super1, Lowe’s, or Target ? My Health Insurance Premiums are not sky-rocket high as you Liberals are claiming. Do you understand how Reuters is organized? It employs thousands of journalists…the actions of one journalist does not discredit the entire organization forever, in all endeavors.

So a doctor discussing options with a patient who is terminally ill and suffering immensely (such as someone who is going through their 4th round of Chemo) is somehow a ‘death panel’???? It’s been shown that end of life discussions extend life expectancy and increase patient well being.

What the hell are you talking about!? An ‘end of life’ discussion is NOT a doctor telling a patient how long they have to live. It’s a discussion regarding the best course of action…whether or not a 4th round of chemo therapy is the best choice (ie. should one risk a painful, sickly, horrible radioactively induced death, or try alternatives and concentrate on quality of life).
How can you compare an organization of journalists with a religion? One is a career, with independent people each doing their job…the other is an organized religion, where everyone reads the same 2000+ year old book, written in a time before science and modern philosophy. Religion is a primitive way of relating to the world and one’s self.
