  1. Just in case anybody forgot, Chevron never did any of the actual drilling and pipelining work in Ecuador. The actual work was done by the Ecuadorian national oil company in partnership with Texaco, which Chevron later bought. This is a case of “deep pockets” litigation.

  2. Gee, thanks richfisher, that was really, really uplifting, Especially seeing as there are so many anarchists in the adoring crowd. I suppose I travel with these jerks on the bus at regular intervals. Come to think of it, I think I recognized a couple of them, at least.

  3. As was posted elsewhere…these environmental orgs are only interested in money and power—not the environment.
The Sierra crowd protests all progress and launches lawfare….which invariably is settled out of court…..with no precedents but money to the enviros and the project then goes ahead intact and unmodifying—after paying extortion.
All this will end when the corporation/agency involved doesn’t settle out of court and goes to judgement….the enviro protection racket will fail….no precedents.

  4. Sorry to take it sideways Kate, please remove it if it gums up the works. No offense to anyone, the basic message is the essence of freedom and I find it to be totally misdirected, but pure and very uplifting.
If one person in the environut WAR meetings were to recall the lyrics … yeah right.
