Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

My knowledge of Dressage is close to nil; but I doknow what I enjoy and as entertainment this is tops. Thanx Kate. Cheers
That video has over nine million views – dressage must be more popular than I thought!
How sad.
What a fine animal – you’d swear she was having fun our there.
They’re great dressage horses, obviously, but I’ve always found the jumping ability of the various Warmblood types to be amazing, because when they’re at a standstill or a walk they look like they’re too heavy in the body to really get airborne. Their heads are on the fine side, like an Arab or an Anglo-arab, but their chests are so deep that….it just always looks improbable that they could clear a huge oxer. I never completely get over that feeling when I see one walk into the ring.
How Sad????
I feel sorry for you Abe. Horse, rider and crowd were having fun.
Yet you found something sad about it? Must suck to be you sometimes.
RCGZ: Abe was referring to the fact that the horse broke his leg and had to be put down.
My apologies to you Abe. Obviously failed to notice that.
Thanks for straightening me out EBD.
The horse world has lost a real treasure.
The longer version video is the one that captured all who knew her.
Tears of joy, no longer.
Run free. You could never be forgotten.
you think that horse could dance ?!
pfui….”your getting this straight from the horse…zenyatta could dance the pants off THAT horse….”
Thanks for this Kate. Beautiful to watch. Did a little dressage and show jumping years ago with my retired thoroughbreds. One cannot truly appreciate the power, agility, grace and beauty of these majestic animals until they experience the thrill of riding them. Sad to lose them at a relatively young age.

Outstanding Kate, that was beautifull.
,
So very sad but I think she brought smiles to alot of faces with that performance. She really seemed to be enjoying herself. That tail just captivated me. Really seemed to swish in time to the music. Thanks Kate.
large dead animal RIP
Thanks, Kate. Even though I know nothing about dressage, that was so joyful and beautiful to watch. The horse really does look as if she’s dancing. The hug her rider gives her at the end is lovely.
Beautiful horse. Elegant and captivating to watch. (My sister owns a 1/2 sister to her, there is a strong family resemblance)
Not as much the popularity of dressage, as much as Matine was a magnificent horse whose enjoyment of what she did was so obvious.
Sorry, Kate, you’ve lost me with this. I never liked dressage. What is this movie called? Poncing With Horses? Is it in the Olympics?
It certainly seemed like the horse was having fun, horsing around to music, one might say.
