Am I the only one who thinks she is a dead ringer for Miss Piggy? Really she looks just like her.
I was out working this morning, that’s why. Those who leave comments of that type here will find themselves banned without notice. I’d appreciate the rest of you tone down your rhetoric at all, although I find it difficult to find much reason to defend from personal insults any leader of a democratic party that does not categorically reject monsters like Chavez at every opportunity.
Rose don’t be so cruel to Miss Piggy. Miss Piggy at least has style and taste. Plus, her observations and comments are far more intelligent.
Elizabeth May enunciated her vision of how she’d like to arrange the world very clearly before the last election.
Ms.May said we should all live in massive apartment buildings stretched out along public transit lines, and the rest of the area left for us to grow crops in our own little gardens.
Where we would raise cattle, hogs, sheep and chickens,I don’t know, maybe under a Green government, those foods would be banned,or imported.
As for those of us who’d prefer a rural lifestyle, it wasn’t made clear if we’d be allowed.
Next election, I shall again protest vehemently if Ms.May is allowed to take part in the televised debates.
My personal conclusion is that May is dangerous, and must never see power in any shape or form.
Shaken:
Never mind power. God willing, she will never see office. I really don’t want to pay her salary.
We should back off from the comments on her appearance, though the commie jackets that she prefers give me shudders. You know, some bright red lipstick, blue eyeshadow, and green spandex may be all she really needs to be a babe.

We saw last year that is exactly how the people in the former Soviet Union lived for 70 years and to a large extent still do. The more frugal people are slowly breaking away from that mold in that some are buying their neighbouring apartments, when possible, to make a bigger apartment. Others, like small shop owners, trained technical people, etc. who have progressed economically a little above the average, are building new homes in suburban sub-divisions.
There are also new suburban sub-divisions of large expensive homes. Our guides in Zaporozhye, Kiev, Moscow and St. Petersburg show us these sub-divisions and suggested that the expensive homes are built by dirty money.
One of our older guides in the Ukraine said that Stalin had said “Everyone should be able to walk to work.”. That is why you see factories scattered throughout the apartment complexes. Furthermore, you see nuclear power plants within city limits in the Ukraine and Russia.
This is what Lizzie May would like to take us back to? I don’t think so Tim.
“the commie jackets that she prefers give me shudders”
spot on there wallyj. that’s a modified chairman mao jacket. that is scary in its implications.
I once read the eurogreens exhibited undeniable right wing traits. can’t make that claim with lizzie.
Wallyj — That would be a 3 dressed up as a — 3, methinks.
We probably should not make disparaging remarks regarding the wannabe First Secretary May’s appearance and be above this, although it seems to be fine for Harper to be called fatso. I shudder to think of the symbolism of a “mao” jacket.
And just what else would you expect?
We need to remember that May was chosen as leader of the Green Party, a position she did not take by force. This unfortunately says more about the party than anything else. I say unfortunately, since the Green Party bears no resemblance to the party it was at its beginning. I recall seeing a party concerned with people and the environment gradually changing to embrace the most lunatic policies on anything and everything.
Forsooth, I thought that was “DEAR LEADER” of North Korea. Whew twas only Lizzie May.
Mrs Beaver strikes again.
She was great in the first Narnia movie.
Kate,
You decided to go to Hawaii?
Sorry Kate – out working registered as working out the first read.

When I cut and pasted, the letters “hugo-chavez.jpg lizzy_may_applause.jpg” come up but no pictures. Obviously the commenters on this site could see something. Why not me?
