  1. The last budget speech given by Stockwell Day when Alberta’s finance minister he did verbatim…from memory… such skills are rare but many lawyers have no problem with recall.
Politicians scared to death of screwing up…still screw up and look lost when the technology fails them. The empty suit appearence.
I think people are kinda sick of the charade and it has led to poor turn out on election days.

  2. ivbinconned, I think that poor turnout on election days is caused by politicians failing to distinguish themselves and their policies.
For the potential voter who doesn’t turn out the rationalisation is that if the pols seem all the same and their stance on issues seems to be the same then there is no reason to exercise a vote because the results will be the same in any case.

  3. We need the separation of teleprompter and state.
Then the people will really know what our leaders are made of.

  4. makes it “appear” as if he is talking down to his audience? Is that like using a “trick” in AGW?

  5. Too bad teleporters do not exist yet, many places I would “energise” Barry away too…And then break said teleporter.

  6. [….makes it “appear” as if he is talking down to his audience?]

“Before Obama’s Afghanistan speech, protests already scheduled in SF for Wednesday
As President Obama’s plan to escalate the war in Afghanistan leaks out, protests are lined up for Wednesday in San Francisco and around the Bay Area.
From 3-5 p.m. on Wednesday, there will be a demonstration outside the military recruitment center in Capitola to protest the “escalation in Afghanistan.” It is sponsored by Peace Movement of Santa Cruz County.”

    O’narcissist:
“*The “small people”, the “rank and file”, the “loyal soldiers” of the narcissist – his flock, his nation, his employees – they pay the price. The disillusionment and disenchantment are agonizing. The process of reconstruction, of rising from the ashes, of overcoming the trauma of having been deceived, exploited and manipulated – is drawn-out. It is difficult to trust again, to have faith, to love, to be led, to collaborate. Feelings of shame and guilt engulf the erstwhile followers of the narcissist. This is his sole legacy: a massive post-traumatic stress disorder.”
