This is a good development though. Becoming Pres and stayiong Pres are very competitive games. Nobody does any favours not playing at the top of their respective games, including the press.
Now to be cynical, it is safe for the press to be this way now….they can be critical for a year and then turn lovingly forgetful in time for the mid terms. But even then that isnt as important as ensuring they start to rebuild for 2012.
But who the GOP chooses will make a big difference. They need to be united and have a plan, they need to not be foaming atthe mouth and they need to be looking forward.
Obama wil be vulnerable, but not easy prey. He has a ton of dough and committed backers and a machine. Do not underestimate his skills.
But in 2012 he will be running for an election with a quantifiable record for the first time in his career. It wont be hope and change….running as an incumbent has many advantages, but having to defend a record isnt always one of them. And some politicians dont defend themselves well, Obama strikes me that way since he takes it personally. We will see.
He has been out front a lot. Probably more than any Pres in recent memory. This helps move his agenda, BUT he cannot do this for 3 more years.

Can you imagine an american living in Canada years says on television that “we are all canadians and must stick together as canadians” to later decide that he is running for the presidency.
But the White House kinderkorps were already laughing at Robert Gibbs two months ago. Remember the inept parroting of Janet Napolitano’s explanation for Joe Biden’s infamous swine-flu flub (also available on YouTube).
All Gibbs had to do was utter some high-toned words about the importance of compromise in statecraft, and that the president was forced to give a little to get a little, and all would have been well. Instead, he makes the unlamented Scott McClellan look almost competent.
The ordure will stick to Gibbs, but not Obama.

Let me tell americans who visit this site. you are very lucky to have both a liberal and conservative medias either in television radio and newspapers from which to choose.
When the liberal stations decides to pull the wool over your eyes’ you have another channel a conversative that will unveil.
Unfortunately, there is only one NATIONAL MEDIA which are the LIBERALS’ and they know it. only scraps of conservatives media are heard on th radio and maybe one or two newspapers- the rest are all liberals.
Do you expect me to believe that the canadian liberal party thirteen-fifteen years of corruption scandal, thievery etc would have remained behind close doors without a murmur from FOX NEWS-never, The liberals would have been exposed from the very first days of discovery.
How many canadians know that the liberals stole from them-hardly-why is that- well, the canadian liberal media makes it a point to keep it very quiet. MANIPULATING canadian public is the liberal national media ‘work of art.’

One of the factors that most overlook is the american temperament and tradition.
Americans demographically are not sedentary, conformists nor equatorial firebrands….
However, their climate places them right into that sometimes volatile demographic characteristic of the warmer temperate zones.
IOW the “people” who didn’t elect this obamanation and that critical volatile swing segment are capable of a violent rejection.
An overview of the Homeland Security…security report fearing returning troops as a security risk indicates that the democrats are aware of the potential and fear it……rightly so.

WH press secretary has got to be one of the toughest public service jobs in the world. Many have been hopelessly incompetent – this guy for example, or criminal – clinton’s guy. Zeigler had the most difficult task of them all and his loyalty to RMN was awe-inspiring and tragic at the same time. The best by far that i have watched was GWB’s Tony Snow (RIP).

Also: Mr. Obama is a One Term President. The only question now is 2012 = Palin + ?
A conservative movement to vote all incumbents out of office would be strongest in districts that are already Republican, having the effect of strengthening Obama’s power. The message would be one of approval of all of His policies to date.
When people suggest this course of action on conservative blogs, I can only think that they are plants.

If Obama breaks his pledge, it will obviously be because of “8 years of Bush’s failed policies….”
