If we had a truly impartial press, common knowledge would be that The Big O was the “bozo” … not Palin.
Hanson delivers what is perhaps his best ever:
In the first six months of the Obama administration, we have witnessed an assault on the truth of a magnitude not seen since the Nixon Watergate years. The prevarication is ironic given the Obama campaign’s accusations that the Bush years were not transparent and that Hillary Clinton, like her husband, was a chronic fabricator. Remember Obama’s own assertions that he was a “student of history” and that “words mean something. You can’t just make stuff up.”
Yet Obama’s war against veracity is multifaceted.
[…]
Obama talks more than almost any prior president, weighing in on issues from Stephen Colbert’s haircut, to Sean Hannity’s hostility, to the need to wash our hands. In Obama’s way of thinking, his receptive youthful audiences are proof of his righteousness and wisdom — and empower him to pontificate on matters he knows nothing about.

anyone who has paid attention to and does have critical anlysis skills wiil be able to tell you, with authority, that obama is a dangerous commie, muslim and will destroy the world as we know it. folks, you will not be able to have food or money in quantities adequate to weather the coming storm. gold will buy you nothing when there is nothing to buy. the weimar republic should be the best example of montarizing debt.
One Big Ass Mistake America. O.B.A.M.A.
It is now more than 200 years since the great astronomer William Herschel observed a correlation between wheat prices and sunspots
that comment alone is telling.
Obama is going to do to the Yanks what the British empire, a civil war, a cold war and two world wars couldn’t. That is to destroy the joint. It must be deliberate.
I’m on the left and don’t think Palin is much of a threat. This is just another case of rightoid paranoia running as deep as it is wide.
Letterman should have never have apologized. The teen-aged nympho got what she wanted…attention from her ambitious and probably most-of-the-time absentee mom! Where’s the rightard HRC when you really need it.
Just got back from an Alaska vacation. Marvelous place with a much loved Governor. Every year in December the Alaska Governor holds a “tea” in the Governor’s House for all comers.
One thing is telling. Alaska has 1/3 the welfare roll size of the District of Columbia. It’s remoteness and small communities don’t seem to be the economic drag those traits are supposed to be. We were in small towns whose population multiplied in size tens of times with the landing of every cruse ship. We spoke to long time residents and new ones who just bought the business. Although business was down, they all seemed cheerful and seemed to have great hope. And we were not mobbed by panhandlers.
Now I have to ask the hard question: why not our Maritime Provinces? What is the hold up in Eastern Canada? Why did Nova Scotia elect an NDP Government? Do our Maritimers know what a Cruse Ship looks like?
Why not Sarah Palin for President?

“I’m on the left and don’t think”
I must agree with his statement.
Even gay people who are leftist are noticing that Obama has not fulfilled his campaign promise to issue an executive order giving federal employees spousal benefits.
They are questioning why, yet some are still holding on to the idea that he really means well.
rimcTX,
you took it out of context…lol
~~favill~~
Oh, Not Stirred Enough, you’re just silly.
What do leftists think they will get out of a president who appeases, spends more money than any other president before him and relies heavily on them for his image?
This would all be so funny if it wasn’t so serious.
Gunny99, the problem is that the cruise ships are so big the tourists cannot see the turds floating in Halifax harbour but can certainly smell them. Haligonians spent millions to build a sewage treatment plant only to have it flood and end up dumping raw sewage into the harbour for the next year before it is repaired. Once again snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
he future of the Maritimes’economy is to a large extent going to be based on tourism and presenting it as an area for business to invest in.
Back on topic, Mr Hansen has it right on. Why the msm and American sheeple don’t call The Big 0 on it is beyond me.
I am 77 years old and am thankful that I am unlikely to live long enough to see the complete destruction of the once great USA by this man.
Obama did this double-talking and change-ups in position during the campaign, just like Clinton’s Adultery was well known before he became President, people still seem surprised when it happens after they reach office.
not stirred – could you explain why you feel obliged to insult a young girl, Gov. Palin’s daughter?
Could you provide your evidence for your assertion that she is a ‘nympho’; that she wants publicity; that she wants and lacks attention from her mother? Thanks in advance.
Oh – and you seem to be denigrating the faculty of ‘being ambitious’. Why? Do you think it’s better to be the opposite, to have no goals or aspirations? Why do you prefer that?
Of course Letterman should apologize. He insulted, openly, both Gov. Palin and her daughter. What right does he have to do that? If he disagrees with her policies, then, debate them.
Yes, as usual, it’s an excellent analysis by Hanson. I have only one quibble. Certainly, Obama has no inkling of truth. None. Facts and reality simply don’t exist for him. But not because he’s a postmodernist; the left are postmodernists, which means that they are cultural relativists without any sense of universal truths or any acceptance of a reality outside their perception.
But Obama is something more serious. He, as a pathological narcissist, long ago retreated to a world where he alone is the author. He lives in a make-believe fictional world where the only people allowed in are those whom he controls, where the only ‘data’ allowed in are what he says exists. There is no reality, in facts or people, outside of this fictional world in which he lives.
Naturally, postmodernists, who consider themselves and their perpsective as authoritative over that of others in their own society, or equivalent to that of other cultures, will align themselves with Obama and the fictional realm he lives in. What’s the difference between the two?
Not much. I think that Obama’s pathological realm in which he lives, however, requires him to attempt to control others, to reduce their individual power, to marginalize them. He’ll do anything and say anything to achieve this, and as we’ve noticed, truth has no role in his agenda.
“his receptive youthful audiences are proof of his righteousness and wisdom”
Emphasis on ‘youthful’. Those are the same young empty heads who are impressed with their ‘wise’ university professors. Adults with brains can see right through that dangerous fool.
“Not stirred enough” calls a 14 yr old girl a “nympho” with no evidence on a public blog. These are the kind of people I want running my country, you betcha!
Not Stirred Enough; Thats the problem you stirred your brain, now not fixable. So sad so glad.
not stirred enough @3:17PM – “The teen-aged nympho got what she wanted…”
Okay, ignore the trolls and all that, fine, I try, I sometimes succeed. But schtirry, do you have any idea just how downright creepy that was?
Way to make Letterman look like a class act.
What with the post on the “outing” of Canadian Cynic elsewhere on this blog, it really does make me wonder about misogyny and “progressive”, left-wing men.
Gunney99 @3:24 – Here in Halifax we do get cruise ships. I was working at the gift shop at Pier 21 on September 11th, 2001, and the place was full of vacationing New Yorkers – they’d been a few hours away from sailing home, but obviously by early afternoon that wasn’t happening. We all – hundreds of us, I guess – stayed as close as possible to the radios in the little “museum”, trying to get an idea of how much of Manhattan had been destroyed – which was of some immediate relevance to the many tourists who had family there.
Why Nova Scotia voted NDP? A welfare culture and the usual human greed and stupidity. I’m slightly ashamed to say I didn’t vote at all this time – I should have spit into the wind, if only for the sake of it, and next time I will.
Sarah Palin for President? I’m betting she will be.
Obama is a fifteen year old in love with the sound of his own voice, nothing more , a vapid, shallow, weak, sonorous, irksome drone. He is unbelievable in that he will say anything, nothing, never some
thing to hear his own ‘gift’. I have to brush my teeth. The man is dangerous.
Slightly off topic but related:

“Serial killers and politicians share traits
the FBI leads the world in the research effort to develop a series of assessment tools, to evaluate the personality traits and behaviors attributable to psychopaths.
Interpersonal traits include glibness, superficial charm, a grandiose sense of self-worth, pathological lying, and the manipulation of others. The affective traits include a lack of remorse and/or guilt, shallow affect, a lack of empathy, and failure to accept responsibility. The lifestyle behaviors include stimulation-seeking behavior, impulsivity, irresponsibility, parasitic orientation, and a lack of realistic life goals.
While many political leaders will deny the assessment regarding their similarities with serial killers and other career criminals, it is part of a psychopathic profile that may be used in assessing the behaviors of many officials and lawmakers at all levels of government.”
I am now a 33 year old man, and have picked up on a few things as I go, not as young and naive as I used to be.
If a person has a brain capable of independent thought, they’d see the evil that is being inflicted not just in the US, but by anything left. Seriously, you’d have to be a complete idiot to think that socialism is grand and is the answer for everything, so basically a lefty is mentally handicapped they need to be admitted to a hospital where they can receive appropriate care.
If I talk to anyone and say Obama is doing anything less than a perfect job, people get extremely upset and hostile, no debate, no reasons, just anger. That is a mental disease, the inability to reason, just run wild with emotions.
My only regret is being naieve in my younger years in the 20s, and not being able to educate folks before.
The last pargraph of the link:
“The problem in the next four years will be not just that the president of the United States serially does not tell the truth. Instead, the real crisis in our brave new relativist world will be that those who demonstrate that he is untruthful will themselves be accused of lying.”
To this, I quote George Orwell:
“In times of universal deceit, telling the truth will be a revolutionary act.”
With each passing day, witnessing what Obama says and does, I am now convinced more than ever that a revolution is innevitable. The question now is when?
Next year’s mid elections where Congress time is up might be the tipping point where the divide between left and right, created in part by Obama himself.
