  2. Sorry, right of centre, but I don’t get your point. The Republicans didn’t set up class or racial divisions. Nor did they set up any other kind of division.
    If you are saying that rural Americans tend to be more Republican and urban ‘lattes’ tend to be Democrats, this is a valid description. But this reality wasn’t deliberately set up by either the Republican or by the Democratic party.

  5. I have one question or maybe statement in regards to the birth certificate.
    Don’t you think that the most power hungry woman in the world, Hillary, would have been all over that?
    IF there was anything she’s have nailed it right away.
    She would have been the big cheese had the big OWE not had MSM and lots of financially loaded slime types in the pocket. To me there’s no way she’d have let that go, she had the momentum until the “Hope and Change” campaigning kicked in.

  6. idd – I see your point, but my own feeling is that the issue was brought up during the campaign and probably by Clinton followers…but..since the Obama camp refused to budge on it..then, continuing the attempt to find the birth certificate would have been viewed as a personal ad hominem attack against Obama.
    Obama’s team was very ready to accuse any criticism or questions as based on racism rather than a desire for the truth!
    So, trying to find out the truth of his birth would have recoiled, in a very bad way, on Hillary Clinton’s campaign.

  9. Wow! FYI, Just read that Rush Limbaugh’s radio program advertising is now sold out until THE FOURTH QUARTER!
    The Democrats’ attack campaign has caused a stamped of advertisers TO Rush, not away as the Democratic Brownshirts had probably hoped. So far, its put Rush’s ad time sales months ahead of what his marketing people anticipated prior to the Dems “going to the mattresses”.
    (BTW, I was living in Northern California when Rush Limbaugh’s radio program began to be heard in San Francisco. In his very first broadcast with that added coverage, he simply pole-axed with hilarious humor what he calls “the FemiNazis”. The reaction on the local Leftard radio call-in programs afterward was the best free entertainment I’d had in years. One station even immediately set up a toll-free psychologist-staffed phone bank for emotionally distraught “feminists” and other hard leftists whom Rush had awesomely lampooned on the three hour program. Vintage Limbaugh!
    You rock, Rush! 🙂

    Not so fast on that one, Terry. All those Cuban-Americans are refugees from the Castro tyranny or the children of Castro refugees. They either personally know the truth of Cuba or have been told the truth by parents and other relatives.
    I know whereof I speak, having had a Cuban-American ladyfriend for many years. My guess is that 99% of Cuban-Americans rightly HATE the Castro regime. Republican George W. Bush had a very solid majority of Cuban-American voters for his consistent strong stand against the Castro regime and against loosening the trade embargo.
    Hypothetically speaking, if either Fidel or Raul tried to walk through any Cuban-American neighborhood in Florida, they’d have a life expectancy of about ten minutes.

  16. First, the DC Examiner link suggests that 75% of the US economy is in “private” hands. Interesting, in that, in 2009, the US total GDP is about $14 trillion, and government spending at all levels is about $6.5 trillion, or just under 50%. Kinda casts a pall over the rest of the article.
    Glenn: I’m sure everyone here will be interested in your arguments when you learn how to spell, you illiterate moron.
    Finally, the assistant to the Secretary of the Treasury Tim “safecracker” Geithner is named “Kashkarri”, or as wags all over the net have it, “Cash and Carry”. How apropos…
