I think that what is going on are intense backroom power plays, moving Obama into the only role he is capable of, The Salesman, and taking control of the governance of the USA behind his frontline charade. This will result in choices of key players in the government based on loyalties, favours owed, networks, and so on. The ‘vetting’ is secondary.
Obama is not a leader; he has no ability or desire to deal with policies or programs. He cannot ‘see’ the structure of a policy, envisage its long term effects, evaluate its strengths and weaknesses.
He is, like a serial arsonist, hooked on his need to manipulate people to get them to do what he wants, to focus on him. He needs this constant interaction and feedback. Work on policies and programs is, to Obama, like putting out the fire.
As for the policies that he’ll sell – he’ll pick them up from other people. The ‘experts’. He won’t analyze or evaluate them; his only requirement of them is that they must appeal to a large number of people at first glance.
So, in this vacuum of leadership, there are several ‘gangs’ moving in to take power. The Clintons. Pelosi-Reid. Others. They’ll be fighint amongst themselves to take control of the agenda.
This will lead to internal conflicts, power plays, an implosion of governance.
Zinni is a Lebanese-American and he speaks fluent Arabic. Of course, that’s not really important in a country that mostly speaks Arabic.
Dumb asses, the whole lot.
It has one brutal day for the US. I saw a headline the bailout is over a million dollars a day since the birth of Christ. The new HUD director is no stranger to the law. By limiting pay to 500K a year he will lose the good ones and end up like Fannie Mae. Just brutal. It is like watching Inspector Clouseau. Oh yeh the market thought so too.
Interesting take ET…The Obamian Candidate
Course it happens all the time in the LPC!
Ogabi is showing his true self here – and it’s pathetic. If it weren’t for cover from the slobbering media hacks, Ogabi would already be labeled ‘The Village Idiot’ across the country. This is the guy who claimed he would go through the Stimulus Bill line-by-line to eliminate pork. Obviously he’s too lazy to check the details on anything happening in his sad-sack administration.
If the GOP starts to get the bit in its teeth we could see them go after Bill Clinton (again) and thus Hillary as he has and is taking donations and fees from foreign sources. The BO crowd might willingly stand aside if this was to happen as it could get HRC out of his hair and probably weaken the clintonites that have infitrated the administration.
Good early assessment E T.
The Community Organizer’s silver tongued orator ability brought him to the pinnacle of world power.
Now the question will be whether there is the leadership ability to match, or justify the position.
It will be interesting whether the economic recovery package will retain the “Buy America” provision.
Should it pass as proposed, it would be be an ominous sign not only of his weakness and ineptness, but a lurch to the left into socialism, from the getgo.
Interesting, intuitive perspective there, ET.
It is obvious that Obma is an empty suit. I have been saying that for a year. He has not real ability to do anything but be superficially impressive and get whatever job he applies for.
We are all not safe while he is in power or whomever is pulling his strings.
It’s an ugly mess and we will all pay dearly.
Those who voted for him are to blame. They were dupes who didn’t look past The Obamas jumps hot and pectorals.
I would not be surprised if his doesn’t finish his first term.
I honestly didn’t think it would happen so quickly. But, as I expected, Obama’s history of voting “present” on most legislation put forth in the Illinois senate appears to be exactly what it was: a man incapable of the most basic of decision making. His journey through the halls of power in Chicago were little more than setting himself up for the chance to be vaulted into the White House.
This man is the emptiest of suits. I agree with ET’s analysis: he’s a narcissist of the nth degree. Policy will be crafted by the likes of Pelosi, Reid, Frank, et. al., and will have long-term destructive outcomes on the U.S. So long as the Obamessiah’s ego continues to be stroked, he will not care a wit about policy issues.
ACORN Gets $2,000,000 from Bailed Out Bank of America
a donation in the amount of $2 million to the ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) Housing Corporation of Chicago, according to a document posted on Bank of America corporate philanthropy Web site – which shows the bank had given the total amount in grant money from October 2007 through June 2009.

Bang on ET. I fear for both the us and cda what this vacuum of leadership could cause.
bloody amazing eh. retro change. the old crooks are the new crooks.
You’ve seen those clips. The bronc rider climbs into the chute, cautiously settles on the horse’s back and begins to wrap the leather strap tightly around his gloved hand. Wrapped tightly, to keep him on, but in such a way that he can get off if necessary.
Greenhorn Obama proudly and arrogantly set himself onto a redeyed, mean, ornery old hammerhead. But somebody tied his hold-down into a knot.
Then they opened the gate.
Yes indeed. Change we can believe in…..
In the vetting process for Zinni they found that his taxes were in order and had no scandals in his past so….I guess that would disqualify him right there.
I normally agree with ET but this time aoart from the obvious power plays the assesment is off the mark.
The truth of the matter is you’re all wrong. Reading the posts in this thread is like listening in on a high school business class.
Wake up conservatives; your ideology has created this mind boggling mess and it will take a person like Obama to reverse the insanity!
This is the Chicago machine setting up shop in the beltway…ruthless, self serving, exclusive and tightlipped…Obama will be the figure head while the back roomers run the grifting machine.
America should be worried with a currency collapse being a very real possibility of lack of confidence…if any of the decadent pork scamming going on with the stimulus patronage is widely publicized, dollar collapse could be the result. The last act of a failed political system is to plunder the treasury.
They have to put the right people in the right places to keep a lid on the machine’s mechanism until the paper trails are sanitized.
Think mob….think mob running the Fed with the keys to the national treasury and a media that is distracted watching a Mob owned stripper.
Not Stirred – you don’t understand. Conservatives are folks who at some point or another actually did wake up.
My favorite nick name for the now POTUS is the big OWE. He didn’t get to where he is without some big debts being rung up and now his backers are about to call their loans. Of course I’m not so sure that running for POTUS ever was the big Owe’s idea in the first place. I get the impression that powerful interests were looking for frontman they could use and found Obama. To be honest it wouldn’t surprise me to see Obama resign within a few months to a year because the pressure is too great. I think his heart is really isn’t in this POTUS thing.
BTW not stirred – what do you mean “a person like Obama”. Is it or is it not Obama. Is he not THE ONE? Its becoming painfully obvious that he has very little in the way of executive experience – it shows in his decisions, his language and in the people he surounds himself with. Gonna be a loooooooong four years.
Nice to hear from the historically illiterate Not Stirred Enough. NSE please go back and read who brought in the Money for Nothing scheme that broke the banks. A little hint here, it wasn’t conservatives.
“Wake up conservatives; your ideology has created this mind boggling mess and it will take a person like Obama to reverse the insanity!”
Um, actually shaken it was your ideology that caused the problem…
Please read this article –
http://www.gather.com/viewArticle.jsp?articleId=281474977461051
and if in doubt, google “clinton housing crisis” or something similar…
The failure of Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac started the whole ball rolling.
not stirred enough said, said: “I normally agree with ET but…”
Sure you do.
ET’s assessment of The One is perfect, she practically read it out of the DSM-IV. Any tighter than that and she’d be reading off the diagnostic codes to you. You have put your faith in an empty suit.
“Wake up conservatives; your ideology has created this mind boggling mess…”
See, this is why we mock you. Conservatives believe in -less- government, not-stirred old buddy. Personal freedom with personal responsibility. Equal opportunity. Work. Tax cuts. Stuff like that.
Our ideology hasn’t been tried yet. Because -ahem- people like you keep lying in the road whining you need help to get up, and you’ll vote for whatever jerk promises you a free lunch this week.
I’m going to sit back and watch the Ohmygawd-BAM-a train wreck as it continues to unfold in slow motion over the next four years.
These guys are so crooked they can’t even walk straight, and they are DUMB about it too. There will be plenty of opportunity for The One to disabuse you of his spectacular Obamatudinousness.
I prophesy he will be impeached for really huge corruption before year four, or he will start a major war and then be impeached. For huge corruption. He will make Bill Clinton look like a tower of moral probity. We will look back on the simple times of Monica Lewinsky nostalgically.
But Obama ran an excellent presidential campaign……….
Phantom: He may be impeached, put in jail, and be replaced by Joe Biden but the media won’t get around to reporting these small facts until 5 years after his term.
Obama, The Narcissist Salesman, has taken to the MSM to get ‘his’ stimulus package passed by the Senate. He has an article in today’s Washington Post.
Obama writes:
“By now, it’s clear to everyone that we have inherited an economic crisis as deep and dire as any since the days of the Great Depression.”
Blame Bush. Not the Democrats and Clinton who started it all and maintained it in the Democrat dominated Congress.
And
“What Americans expect from Washington is action that matches the urgency they feel in their daily lives — action that’s swift, bold and wise enough for us to climb out of this crisis.”
Notice what he’s done; he’s judged the ‘stimulation package’ as ‘swift, bold and wise’. Disagree with it and you are unwise.
He continues:
“In recent days, there have been misguided criticisms of this plan that echo the failed theories that helped lead us into this crisis — the notion that tax cuts alone will solve all our problems; that we can meet our enormous tests with half-steps and piecemeal measures; that we can ignore fundamental challenges such as energy independence and the high cost of health care and still expect our economy and our country to thrive.”
Notice his diversion from the truth. The criticism is that the package containes TOO FEW tax cuts and not that there should only be tax cuts. The criticism is not that we should not take ‘half-steps and piecemeal measures’ but that the package contains PRIMARILY such half steps and piecemeal acts and that it contains NO measures to ease employment and that it is primarily PORK.
And he concludes: “We can place good ideas ahead of old ideological battles, and a sense of purpose above the same narrow partisanship.”
That is, IF you criticize him and reject his plans, this means that YOU are biased, prejudiced.
Obama accepts NO criticism of his agendas. He can do no wrong; the only faults are in others. That’s a Narcissist Salesman.
I’ll add another comment to my concerns about Obama’s ‘op-ed’ in the Washington Post. It shows several aspects of his character – as the Narcissist Salesman uninterested in and actually unable to comprehend, policies.
First, is his narcissism which leads him to view his agendas as ‘wise and good’.
Second, is his narcissistic requirement that he has the power to manipulate you to accept His Word (that’s the Salesman metaphor).
But, notice his strategies.
He misinforms. He manipulates your emotions. Those are two key tactics.
The origin of the problems didn’t begin with Bush but with Clinton. He’s setting you up in an emotional state of readiness to either accept his Word or be labeled as ‘pro-Bush’.
Criticism of the package wasn’t to suggest only tax cuts but that there were too few;
criticism wasn’t in favour of half-measures but against the pork-half-measures in the package. Obama is suggesting that these don’t exist in the package.
And notice his final emotional manipulation, after all the misinformation.
If you disagree with his agenda, then you are biased.
I’m going to suggest that this strategy is a Rev. Wright ‘black community’ strategy. Criticize someone who is black, and the ONLY reason for such criticism is that you are ‘racist, bigoted, biased’.
Obama is using the same tactic. Criticize his agenda..and you are bigoted, biased, Partisan.
Thanks ‘ET’, again you hit the mark. It was absolutely show in his ‘presidential campaign’ with the people he had to throw under the bus. This person ‘BHO’ is only the salesman for the people who want to forward their ‘socialist agenda’.
Back to Zinni for just a moment. Can anyone tell me his religion? It matters.
Im waiting for the Obama version of this

I think what we are and have witnessed is exactly what the Americans have asked for. The Americans wanted a giant “look how great we are” party regardless of the price. Even conservatives were saying “what a great day it is” regarding BO’s inauguration. This is just another example of the indulgent behavior the Boomers and the generations they mentored. The economic crisis, 9/11 and any other number of recent historical precedents have taught the Americans nothing, as is evident in the last elections results.
I now begin to see the wisdom of those men way back who resisted letting women vote. Women are largely responsible for the loons running the show in the USA and most of the loons in Canada as well. I would never suggest that women should not be allowed to vote, but many of the concerns those men had in the past have proven to be well warranted.
Seems to me there were a lot of people, of the Democratic/loony persuasion, who were very derisive about the Republican vetting process a few months ago. Seems whatever shortcomings the Republicans may or may not have in their vetting are completely dwarfed and eclipsed by the abject incompetence on the Democratic side.
Strange though, how there are no national headlines trumpeting this from the highest mountains.
Homez – You’ve got me wondering – are you stupid or brave or both? You done gone way over da line, man.
Having said that – there is no doubt that Nancy Pelosi is the most vacuous, no talent woman I have ever seen at the position of power she occupies. Of course – Harry Reid might even be more stupid than Pelosi. I don’t understand why, with a Democrat controlled Congress whose approval rating was even lower than GWB’s, Americans elected even more Democrats last November.
Actually, the way I worded my last post re Pelosi, you could read into it that another woman before her was Speaker of the House – which of course is not the case. Suffice to say that Gramma Pelosi’s reach has hugely exceeded her grasp (grasp in this case meaning “of the issues and solution thereto).
It is simple, Homez and Bob. Democracy is a form of government that ensures that people always get the government they deserve.
Kevin Lafayette at – 11:40 am
“Strange though, how there are no national headlines trumpeting this from the highest mountains.”
Bernard Goldberg has the answer -“Obama Slobbering Ameriacan MSM”
In Canada it’s called “Liberal lickspittle journalism”
Same ting – different countries.
Bob
Both (hopefully people notice the tongue in my cheek)
“You done gone way over da line, man.”
I’ve bin dun did it for more than a minute.
Seriously, I disagree. I have seen many identifiable groups generalized, criticized, and slammed. Not to mention some bigoted BS that never get called to task. I try to be self-deprecating most of the time and never try to insult anyone.
Actually now that I think about it, maybe it isn’t okay to rip on women after all…
“My cause to action is simple, women are victims. They need special help. Look, at the evolution of these sexual harassment laws. What we are really saying is women really should qualify under the Federal Disability Act. They are less able. They cannot cope with romance in the office. They cannot contend with having to do a job and have a man smile at them. It is too much. Look where we use to be, first quid pro quo, then hostile environment, and now Seinfeld episodes. Women can’t take it; they bruise too easily. The laws are here to protect the weak and most vulnerable in society. She is woman, protect her!” Richard Fish
Note Obama’s concern about the environment. This is from the Runner-Up to Best conservative blog, the Ace.
“Mr. Obama will head to Kingsmill Resort and Spa in the historical Virginia city to start a three-day planning session. The resort boasts multiple championship golf courses, a full-service spa and six restaurants, noted the Hill newspaper, which broke the story about the Democratic retreats.
Democrats will ride together to the resort on a chartered Amtrak train at a cost to taxpayers of about $70,000, the Hill reported. Taxpayers will also foot the bill for security helicopters to fly above the train. The caucus will spend thousands: In 2003, for example, they spent $11,200 on food and $6,900 on entertainment, the paper said.”
And: “It’s interesting that Obama is flying on Air Force One to the retreat. It’s only 152 miles from Washington, DC to Williamsburg, VA. Total driving time, according to Google maps: 2 hours, 35 minutes. I’m not saying he should drive, but surely Marine One could make the trip and minimize the president’s ‘carbon footprint,’ right?”
So, it’s a Democrat planning session. Costing the taxpayers. And.. So much for bipartisanship.
Democracy is a form of government that ensures that people always get the government they deserve.
Kevin Lafayette, yes and no on that one. Democracy has been compromised over the last few decades here. Go back a few decades and one party did not have a monopoly on the mass media. Gerrymandering which the Dems have been masters at gaming has insured permanent congressional seats for them. Another huge problem is that in a democracy there is no requirement or good reason that everyone vote. Busing warm bodies just for the numbers from the dysfunctional and uninformed margins of society to polling stations, the garbage that ACORN has accelerated with each election, undermines a democracy.
Here’s hoping that by the end if not sooner of this twit’s administration a whole lot more heads here come out of the sand and start connecting those dots.
More on Obama and his inability to provide leadership.
Sen. Lindsey Graham, S.C. Republican, says that:
“President Obama has been “AWOL” in negotiations over the economic stimulus package, Sen. Lindsey Graham said Thursday in a scathing rebuke of the new president.
The South Carolina Republican told FOX News that Obama has not been providing leadership, and he criticized the president for giving TV interviews and writing an editorial touting the package, rather than addressing the complaints of lawmakers.
“This process stinks,” Graham told FOX News, before repeating a lot of his criticisms on the Senate floor. “We’re making this up as we go and it is a waste of money. It is a broken process, and the president, as far as I’m concerned, has been AWOL on providing leadership on something as important as this.”
“Scaring people is not leadership. Writing an editorial that if you don’t pass this bad bill we’re going to have disaster — we’ve had enough presidents trying to scare people to make bad decisions”.
That’s the point. Obama isn’t interested in the policy or program. It’s as if his mind shuts down completely and freezes when faced with developing or analyzing a program; his mind only operates at selling the plan. His focus is on ‘the thrill of the successful sale’. He will misinform, he will manipulate for that result.
As I’ve said, his key tactics are based around misinforming you about the content of the plan, manipulating you by focusing on two key emotions – of hope and fear, and note this – he then moves on to accuse you of bigotry and bias if you don’t ‘purchase the deal’. That’s his style and we’ll see more and more of it.
More on Obama’s lack of leadership. A salesman is not a leader.
Obama is indifferent to the content, to the effect or value, of programs and policies. It’s as if his mind goes black when confronted with a requirement to draw up or evaluate policies. His focus is on Selling the Policy. His focus is on his skills to make You Do What HE wants.
He’ll misinform, he’ll manipulate you emotionally, and he’ll box you into a dead street zone where, if you don’t accept his plan, you’ll be defined as a bigot. Above all, you don’t criticize his plan; your role is to purchase it.
Here’s what one Republican Senator said:
“President Obama has been “AWOL” in negotiations over the economic stimulus package, Sen. Lindsey Graham said Thursday in a scathing rebuke of the new president.
The South Carolina Republican told FOX News that Obama has not been providing leadership, and he criticized the president for giving TV interviews and writing an editorial touting the package, rather than addressing the complaints of lawmakers. ”
Note that fact. Obama hasn’t been dealing with the CONTENT of the package; he doesn’t address the quite valid criticisms. Instead, he’s written an editorial in the Washington Post, telling people of disastrous consequences if they don’t pass it. He’s gone on TV, spreading the same fearsome threats of utter collapse.
As Graham said – “Scaring people is not leadership”.
But we’ll see more of this. Obama’s focus is in Selling the Product, which gives him a ‘thrill’ of accomplishment at making you Do What HE wants.
To achieve this, he’ll misinform, he’ll manipulate your emotions of hope and fear. And, if you reject his Selling Power, he’ll accuse you of bias.
A few comments:
1) Simply put, lefties don’t like military types. We scare them.
The general is clean as a whip, especially compared to some of the others, so what other explanation could there be?
Remember, some have the courage to pick up the rifle and stand the line, while others just protest, and moan and whine.
2) Homez….as the father of 3 daughters, and the brother to 4 sisters……ouch. I am sure my wife, Kim Campbell, Maggie Thatcher and Kate would disagree with you……LOL
VOTE REFORM !
GO ARMY !
King
Would they?
As I said, the stuff about voting was a jest, I was trying to criticize the voting patterns of women(as a group). You know, the way we did with respect to blacks voting for BO.
“The Community Organizer’s silver tongued orator ability brought him to the pinnacle of world power.”
Not so sure about that Joe, me thinks it was an abundant supply of Absentee Votes by ACORN.
And to John, Obabots weren’t duped, they knew what they were doing, and they are waiting un-patiently for their Stimulus (vote-buying) Check.
To Colin from BC, Pelosi can bang her Legislation thru, but the Senate is gona be a real problem for Obama.
To Joe again; The Big OWE, that’s priceless.
Indiana Homez you are way off, conservatives did not say that, and stop saying Americans wanted Obama, he did not, I repeat, he did not garner 100% of the vote, and the winning percentage he did get was tainted by ACORN.
Now, on your ideology concerning women, I wouldn’t touch that with your 10 foot pole.
,
“Indiana Homez you are way off, conservatives did not say that, and stop saying Americans wanted Obama, he did not, I repeat, he did not garner 100% of the vote, and the winning percentage he did get was tainted by ACORN.”
Obviously, but even though 48% didn’t vote for BO, the “entitlement culture” is definatly over taking Americans. This election should not have even been close. If Americans treated POTUS like a job, the two resumes wouldn’t have even been comparable.
wrt my “therory about women” it’s not a theory …
“A greater proportion of women than men identify themselves as Democrats, and the gap has risen significantly over the past few decades –from 2 percent in 1952 to 12 percent in 1996. Traditional explanations focus on the rise in female labor force participation, the opposition of females to conservatives on issues such as abortion, the rise of feminism, and declining importance of religion.”

It’s not just the chicks, dude, it’s the renters too.
ET
You’ve obviously laboured over your interpretation of President Obama’s recent words, and such effort deserves a response.
Your trope that President Obama is a ‘Narcissist Salesman’ would be more convincing if you did not misrepresent the President’s words in your attempt to make your point.
The President does not claim, as you say, that his bill is ‘wise and good’ and that therefore anyone who opposes it is unwise. He simply states that “Americans expect from Washington…actions that’s swift, bold and wise enough for us to climb out of this crisis”.
Surely no-one could disagree with this simple observation on the part of the President. And no-one with remedial reading skills would interpret his statement as saying that his bill his wise and that anyone who opposes it is therefore ‘unwise’ as you claim.
The meaning of his words is so clear, and his op-ed is so readily available on the web, ET, that one wonders why you go to the trouble of misrepresenting them. Are you hoping against hope that no-one will check up on the veracity of your claims, so that you can mislead the people so lazy, gullible, or predisposed to your point of view that they’ll accept anything you say at face value?
Your other point seems to be that Obama, in saying that ‘we’ have inherited a crisis, is blaming the crisis entirely on Bush, manipulating people into thinking if they oppose his bill they are ‘pro-Bush’ (though why that would be a problem for you isn’t clear). At least I think that’s your point.
But since you have cited the President’s TV address today, I’m sure you’re aware that he spoke of opponents to his bill as echoing the ideas of “ten years, or maybe more” which got us into this mess.
Remedial arithmetic tells us that maybe more than ten years ago puts us into the Clinton presidency. So your view that he’s criticizing his opponents on a partisan basis is as false as your claim that his opponents are ‘unwise’.
Finally: are your quotes from Graham supposed to prove anything? Gee, John McCain’s right-hand man rebukes Barack Obama! Stunner! Couldn’t see that coming!
And the ‘Rev. Wright black community strategy’ stuff, by which you claim opponents of the President are made to seem ‘racist’ – well, that’s low even for you, ET. You might as well go for it, though, since your ideological mate Limbaugh has already made that claim. Beyond what it says – alas – about the modern conservative movement, your claim unites with your earlier falsehoods to display you’ll stop at nothing – racism, lies – to advance your losing argument.
indian
we are in a conservative blog, but that does not mean the readership here fully understands statistics:-)))))
ET
your analysis of the big OWE (I like that) is accurate
I would also like to point out that the BIG OWE is playing games with the statement that the economic situation started with Clinton. He is partially correct in that Clinton’s administration accelerated bad fiscal policies and Bush failed to reverse them, this is an effort to appear bi-partisan, as he is not blaming Bush, a republican, but only showing that Bush failed to fix a democratic error, which he (obama) will now fix, as long as everyone supports him.
real – you state that, quoting Obama:
“Americans expect from Washington…actions that’s swift, bold and wise enough for us to climb out of this crisis”.
Surely no-one could disagree with this simple observation on the part of the President. And no-one with remedial reading skills would interpret his statement as saying that his bill his wise and that anyone who opposes it is therefore ‘unwise’ as you claim.”
Ahh, but I do disagree with this ‘simple’ observation. It’s an irrelevant statement if it has no meaning other than to assert in a gernal manner: “You people expect government action that is ‘swift, bold and wise’.
The statement only acquires meaning if these adjectives are applied to a SPECIFIC policy. And the policy to which Obama is SPECIFICALLY referring, is ‘his’ stimulus package’.
I put ‘his’ in quotes because it is not Obama’s. Obama doesn’t create policy; he sells it. It was put together by the Democrat backroom people.
Since these adjectives refer to a specific policy, I can then go on to claim that it is not ‘wise’ nor bold and indeed, its actions are not swift but, as many have noted, results won’t even begin to emerge for several years.
My quotes from Graham are most certainly meant to be understood as valid critiques. Indeed, they are being heard on Fox, on CNN and elsewhere today. Your attempt to denigrate them by aligning him with McCain is ridiculous; you ought to look at the criticism itself and only the criticism, to make a judgment.
Indeed, CNN just had someone else on, also stating that Obama is not providing leadership on the economy. The criticism was that he left the development of the ‘stimulus package’ to others, who filled it with special interest deals; that he then promoted it as ‘bipartisan’ and now, has himself moved out of bipartisan focus and insisted that Democrats pass it.
Yes, I think he’s blaming Bush in this op-ed in the Washington Post. Your reference to another speech doesn’t remove the meaning of this op-ed.
And I’ll repeat my claim that Obama’s tactics of persuasion are to misinform the public, and that Washington Post op-ed was filled with misinformation; to manipulate people using emotions of hope and fear – and his op-ed and speeches are filled with such; and finally, his strategy of rejecting rational criticism of him and his ‘policies’ by defining the cause of criticism as ‘your bigotry’.
So, if you reject the ‘stimulus package’, it’s not because it’s a terrible policy but it’s because you are ‘partisan’; you are a bigot. Yes, these are Rev. Wright tactics of blaming criticism as a ‘racist’ rather than rational act.
Cheers, real, and I’d advise you to stick to issues and don’t move into ad hominem. That’s a strategy of a weakling.
