My end of this little world is very socialist but the vocal ones are the minority. The socialist reside in the city, but when you look at the country surrounding it the silent majority are conservative in their beliefs. I live in the country and you bet they have guns, pistol clubs etc. It’s just a matter of time and the silent majority will be fed up enough to start their own militias. The States with their access to guns is just a stone throw for the majority of us and their is no border that will be able to stop this from moving across. It’s a scary scene but the governments are the ones that should be blamed for the outcome.
This country was pioneered by our ancestors many coming from Europe and the British Isles. They didn’t start off with government welfare and had to utilise their own ingenuity to make it here in the New World. What makes the newly arrived think that we of the old stock aren’t going to react in due time. Their is nothing more vicious than an angry Caucasian. History has shown this. Our new immigrants see patience, tolerance and acceptance of their beliefs as weakness, but it will be tested soon. Our blood runs deep also.
I have 4 adult sons and they are all talking about this future. If they are so are their friends. It will be survival of the fittest and I probably will see the Canadian citizenry become very inhospitable to these immigrants in my lifetime. This is what multiculturalism has given us.
I’ve come to the conclusion, Robert W, that victimizing groups is an industry for the l/Liberal$. The more victim groups Canada has, the better. (Heck, the more victim groups the world has, the better. The Liberal$ want them in Canada.)
The Librano$ then build a whole infrastructure around these victim groups designed to bring them the voter support they so crave (‘gotta stay in power, after all, as the natural ruling party) and to withdraw freedoms from those of us on the other side of the political spectrum who pay their own way.
Those of us who live responsibly and accountably — and expect other Canadians to do the same — those of us who have clear moral and ethical values, which means that we believe in hard work and in helping others (not on government money, but by our volunteering of our own time, treasure, and talent — which, BTW, is the profile of the 65% of Canadians who give to charity and who also go to church) are being taken to the cleaners because, for the most part, we DON’T vote Librano.
It’s been a total scam since the Trudeaupian fall-asleep-at-the-wheel-for-too-many-Canadians era. We’ve been had big-time. Those who warned Canadians about what was happening were deep-sixed, taken out of the media loop, told to shut up, told they were red-necked yahoos. The people who should be getting the Order of Canada are people like Gwen Landolt and Ted Byfield, who were/are prophtetic voices crying in the wilderness. They could see what was happening. They warned Canadians what was happening.

It’s the 100th anniversary of Confederation. Canada steps onto the world stage with Expo 67. But what is a Canadian?
I remember that in Grade School and High School I was taught that Canada was a country that was like a patchwork quilt or mosaic and the United States was a melting pot of cultures. That was what made us different from the United States. They had the Oath of Allegiance and we didn’t.
So you may be right. It probably started back then. If you look at the history, it seems to me that Trudeau and the Liberals were trying very hard to be different than the Americans at that time. I think that we are an open and accepting society and that in the zeal to differentiate ourselves from the Americans, we created the new myth of the patchwork quilt or mosaic and lost sight of who we are.
And once we went down that path it became impossible to speak against it. If we want a melting pot culture, then we want to be an American. That is bad by definition. Hell, when I was younger, I was pleased that I was part of a cultural mosaic. Now that I am older, I am still pleased to be part of an open and accepting culture, but I don’t like it when it is so open and accepting that it welcomes and accommodates cultures that are not open and accepting.
Now we have a national political party that is largely responsible for creating how we Canadians view our society and that party continues to blindly push that view that was developed years ago in a much different world. They don’t look at the problems it is creating in our society. They don’t attempt to rationalize the internal inconsistency. In fact as you point out, they gladly use the framework for short term political advantage.
As Kate would say to the radio, I will say to the Liberals, “You don’t speak for me!”
As time marches on it’s becoming more obvious why leftists were so terribly anxious to strip Canadians of their legal property via the gun registry and we all know Jean Cretin obliged because farmers and duck hunters present such a menace to Canadian society.
Why do we give money to people who come here without the means to support themselves? (ie. an employable skill or a huge amount of their OWN money). Why do we even let people who have no employable skills or the ability to speak in either official language into Canada?
When my parents first came to Canada in the early ’70s they both worked two jobs to support my two sisters, my brother, me and my grandmother. By the way, my grandmother ran her own business out of the house (income on which she paid taxes)–she babysat younger kids in the neighborhood and she made dresses and ball gowns (she was a seamstress). All four of us (kids) went to university–I’m a soldier, one sister a nurse, my other sister a teacher (the no-nonsense type–teaches in a rural community) and my brother works for the federal govt. I know my parents never took welfare. I blame the Liberals for allowing ne’erdowells to come into Canada, giving them free money and ruining what we had.
By the way, I’m a visible minority (but I don’t consider myself anything else but Canadian) and I cherish the conservative values of self-reliance, meritocracy (ie. one’s advancement on one’s ability), fiscal prudence and freedom (of thought, word and action). I also believe in the un-Canadian (at least nowadays) value of being able to defend one-self and being armed in order to do so (I’ve been overseas and it’s surprising how much more polite people are when you’re toting an assault rifle and a pistol).
I don’t believe in hand-outs (but I do believe in charity). I believe the gov’t should be as small as possible and I think paying taxes (the least amount possible) is a necessary evil. I liked Canada better when the people were more self-reliant and didn’t run to the gov’t to take care of them when things started going awry.

I just don’t see the point…economic, cultural, whatever…of having large numbers of Muslims in Canada.
The Islamic world produces nothing, invents nothing, builds nothing, generates nothing, has little or no science and technology and virutally no forms of visual arts.
It’s not as though they’re going to bring about new, revolutionary forms of opera or ballet or contribute in any meaningful way to the pantheon of Canadians holding Nobel prizes.
When you look at the losers populating these rallies, you really have to wonder how many of ’em are on welfare or living in some way, be it directly or indirectly, off of the state and state subsidies.
What would be the conclusions of a tight, disciplined cost-benefit analysis of Canada’s Muslim community?

As you pointed out in your 3rd paragraph, she’s incapable.
At least “new” shows the readers of SDA the insanity of Muslims within our communities. “new” does us a big favor and proves our points about Islam with every infringement and insult to our culture without caring in the least if it’s acceptable or sensible. This is a good thing for SDA commenter’s attempting to expose the ills of the Muslim mind.
Of course “new” could be an agent provocateur for the Zionist movement attempting to inflame tensions between conservative Canadians and Muslims further. I would say that’s the most unlikely scenario because Islam does a good job of that without help…….but you never know.

You might be onto something there.
One way to denormalize hating and exclusion is for the other immigrant communities tell the local Liberal apparat that the behavior of the haters is inconsistent with the Canadian values that they favor and their community wants the force of government brought to bear to stop the behavior. They must tell them that they will not support the Liberals unless they stop the behavior.
The current Liberals don’t listen to the traditional Canadian from outside of Quebec. Their constituency is in Quebec, the Maritimes and the “patchwork quilt” large Canadian cities – except for some reason Winnipeg. If you look at it, those are areas where there are major cultural or economic differences from the rest of Canada. If a political party were to pander to these constituencies and if there are enough of them, the party might be able to form the government. So of course the apparat will continue to promote the exclusion and division of cultures. Having one set of values will be bad for them once they have gone down that path. And that is why I get so angry when the Liberals pretend to be the defenders of Canadian values.
The current government, which does listen to traditional Canadians, is in a minority position and cannot take action to preserve Canadian culture. Look what happened when it tried to take away the $1.95 per vote that is inconsistent with Canadian values of self sufficiency.

You can’t define “traditional Canadian” or “Canadian culture” in an internet thread. Anyone with an IQ over their shoe size would know that. If time is taken to read what I am saying, I think even someone who appears to speak EBONICS as their first language will see that in the context of the posts “traditional Canadian” means those who were here before the Liberal multicultural patchwork quilt mosaic of 1967 became the official Canadian policy.
That culture was inclusive. It did not espouse hatred or violence as a means. It even welcomed people who would now be speaking EBONICS, so long as they didn’t want to kill others who had a different world view.
