  1. Whoah! Lots of swearing there, o enlightened one.
I have known a lot of lefties in my life. Their vocabulary is somewhat thin beyond the use of the F-bomb.

  2. I know I’m not supposed to point this out, but I just can’t help it.
Is she talking about ovaries such as “Vagina Monologues” type ovaries; or has Stephen Harper somehow caused astrological agony over Aries?

  3. Woo, excitable! Living in a state of perpetual freakout seems to be SOP for these lib/left girlies. Always spinning out of control, no practicality to them at all. Phone up to rage at a blogger and -leave a message-, yeah that’s thinking ahead,
Here’s another example of the type, Paladiea.

She was simply INCENSED that those damn neoCons dared to hold their eeevile rally on her holy day last week, Mark Lepine/Gamil Gharby Day. That’s the day Canadian Feminazis celebrate their government imposed helplessness and victimitude.
Now, were I a loathsome Lefty I’d make some really class comment of the type Kathy Shaidle reprints from her inbox occasionally. Lefty women deserve Lefty men. They really are pigs.
Instead, not having been raised in a barn like a frickin’ farm animal, I’ll just say that a life like these women are living is clearly its own best punishment. Furthermore its a cautionary tale on the woe which awaits those who embrace the mental malfunction that is the Left.
Sucks to be you, girls. Maybe a steady diet of bile isn’t good for you.

  4. Lefty jerkwads (like Madame Ovary) sure love the Golden Rule.
They think it means that they DESERVE all the gold you’ve worked hard for all your life so that they can throw it down a black hole in Africa.

  5. Well, it’s clear, in light of a recent court case involving an Alberta-based blogger, that threatening to kill the PM on a blog is a criminal offence.
It also speaks volumes about the Evil Forces that have been pushing this Unholy Alliance coalition — and it demonstrates just cause for Harper’s intention to eliminate public subsidies for political parties. Those morons are free to act like morons, if that’s what they want to do, but not on the taxpayer’s dime.

  6. She’s supposedly at the U. of C.  Comments on her blog lead one to believe that she might even be a grad student.
    A grad student!
I knew times were tough, but can’t the U. of C. find grad students who can actually spell?
    Garth

  7. This little piece of embarrassment to women, should be reported immediately. Make an example of the irresponsible behaviour. I am disgusted!

  8. Actually Soccermom, I was just about to ask if that was the original sign or one of the photo shopped ones for that very reason.
I am sure I saw the original once and it was equally as moronic as that one. It may have been that one.

  9. What exactly ARE overaries anyways? Is it a fancy place to keep birds? Why does this Harper person hurt them? Is Harper ornithophobic?
    This is all so confusing…..

  10. I find it disappointing that the Conservative, and by Conservative, I mean one man, Richard Evans, response to this is to call for Joanne, the nutty criminal blogger in question, to kill herself.
Emotionally I understand why Richard Evans would feel that way, but legally it’s daft, as I have tried to explain and he has ignored.
She is obviously unstable — at least 2 other people on Richard’s blog have pointed that out — and there’s a reason encouraging people to commit suicide is a crime. Sometimes they take the advice.
It’s a crime because it is immoral. It’s an indictable offence subject to up to 14 years of imprisonment and it doesn’t matter whether the person ultimately commits suicide or not
While I’m not Christian, many Conservatives are, and his response was decidedly unChristian. And it was criminal too, however you or I feel about it.
Richard makes the final point that the RCMP will be investigating Joanne because of this SDA link and the traffic and attention it causes. Several people — conservatives — have pointed out the problem with Richard’s comment.
I wish Richard Evans would reconsider: For the sake of his wife and kids, he shouldn’t open himself up to criminal liability.
I don’t for one second mean to say I agree with Joanne. I have said Richard should report the threats to his police force and have it investigated. The RCMP protective detail should be aware of the online threat, however vain and stupid it was. Richard’s local police force should be aware of the threat on his life.
And I believe Joanne should be charged. My point is committing a crime on top of a crime isn’t helpful. There’s a reason you call the police!
We’re the law and order party, remember?

  11. WTF is OVERARIES?
They are ovaries whose productive life is over (before they start in this case, evidently).

  12. “I wonder if anyone has called the cops on Scott Reid yet for his freak out a few days ago.”

    Probably not.
One distinction is Scott Reid didn’t mention a weapon. Kill is an expression used in in many contexts. Get a gun and shoot someone (or shoot oneself) is quite a bit more specific. Harder to argue reasonable doubt.

  13. Uh, Christoph? Richard didn’t actually counsel her to commit suicide aka kill herself, you read that into it. He simply suggested she shoot herself.

  14. This is the new retroactive “think of the children”!
Just looking at her weapons grade stupid makes me glad I’m already married.*
    (safe and sound) 🙂
*she’s probably a greenie who is fixed like the neighbour’s cat and doesn’t even have huevos.

  15. Christoph; If you can’t tell the difference between a statement that tells an individual to take a specific action and one that suggests that an individual “maybe” “consider” a specific action, then I can’t help you beyond stating the obvious; One of them does not include the potential for thought or make allowances for the practice of free will. The other does. To counsel is to direct. Joanne directed someone to shoot. I directed Joanne to think.

  16. Christoph, since when is one guy’s response to something “the Conservative response”?
Profile much? Dare I say, stereotype much? I thought stereotyping was -bad-, and only done by meanie Conservatives.

  17. Richard also said it would put an end to her misery, and went on to tell her how awful she is.
Yes, that’s exactly the type of behaviour the criminal code is designed to prevent, Shere Khan. Free speech isn’t a license for violent speech. Ezra Levant would agree with that, and has made the case many times.
The whole point of this is Joanne committed crimes when she threatened Stephen Harper online, and when she threatened Richard Evans on his answering machine. Actual, for real, you can go to prison type crimes.
And… Richard Evans may have as well. Possibly a prosecutor wouldn’t want to do anything with it, but it is clear that under the letter of the law he is in the wrong:

    Criminal Code
PART VIII: OFFENCES AGAINST THE PERSON AND REPUTATION
    Suicide
    Counselling or aiding suicide
    241. Every one who
    (a) counsels a person to commit suicide, or
    (b) aids or abets a person to commit suicide,
whether suicide ensues or not, is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding fourteen years.
    R.S., 1985, c. C-46, s. 241; R.S., 1985, c. 27 (1st Supp.), s. 7.

Further, even if he didn’t “mean” it, that doesn’t much matter. He said it to someone who is unstable — someone who one of his own commenters on his blog (RightGirl) told him is possibly mentally ill and suicidal.
There are other reasons to enforce laws in cases like this. To set an example for society at large to follow and have respect for (this important) law. This is among the factors a prosecutor considers when deciding whether or not to charge.
Richard Evans took a clear example of someone being totally unhinged to the point of mental illness or criminality and decided to match it. Pointing it out — to the public and/or the police — would have been the thing to do.

  18. “Christoph, since when is one guy’s response to something “the Conservative response”?

Did you miss what I wrote in that very sentence?

“I find it disappointing that the Conservative, and by Conservative, I mean one man, Richard Evans, response to this is…

What I’m saying is Richard Evans was the wrong response from a conservative point of view: i.e., a moral as well as and law and order perspective.

  19. Hey, Christoph, are you the total killjoy that posts sporadically on Ace of Spades HQ?
Man, if it’s you you make my SPLEEN hurt!!!
Even when I think of you and how you make Canadians seem like a bunch of retarded children who don’t take responsibility for themselves and their own actions like a bunch of “blankety blank” Liberal wet-ends.(hold me back boys)
    enough….OW my SPLEEN.

  20. It’s not a matter of protesting, Richard. People on your blog other than yourself expressed the same basic concern:

written by RightGirl, December 09, 2008
I guarantee that she will be dead by her own hand if you don’t call the cops to have her investigated/sectioned. Do it Richard – it’s for her own good. She’s clearly depressed and possibly manic. She’s no danger to you, but she will kill herself if she doesn’t get help.
RG ~ one who knows the signs

She wrote that before I commented. steve wrote after I started commenting:

What the hell is this doing on a blog? If something needs to be forwarded to the RCMP, then by all means, but making a spectacle out of it for people to laugh at is completely tasteless. Would Jesus encourage people to kill themselves?
If you were the bigger person, you would have kept it to yourself and notified the appropriate people if need be. By posting this, you have no right to claim any higher ground.
Grow up and pray that you don’t play a part in pushing someone over the edge.

I object to what you did primarily because it is immoral as well as illegal. This woman should be dealt with by the criminal justice system and/or the mental health system or even, as a last resort, in self defence is she acts on any of her crazy statements.
On your blog, I’ve been looking at this from your point of view and my concern — yes, concern — was how this could negatively effect your family, who you had expressed great concern. Committing crimes in public is stupid, and is wrong in any case.
Is that the example you’re setting for your children? If someone says something offensive about a political figure, don’t call the police or anything, instead go to their blog and call for them to shoot themself and end their miserable lives?
I assume you don’t have teenagers — you may not be as cavalier about that mode of thinking when you are.

  21. Christoph, I read what you wrote. How is what Richard did in any way connected to anything Conservative? Or Christian, for that matter? Is Richard a Conservative MP? Is he a professional Christian of some description? Nope. So WTF?
For your part, you appear to be neither a conservative nor a Christian of any sort anyway, so I fail to see the reason for your “concern”.
In other words, you’re trolling. You have “concerns”, send Richard an e-mail eh?
Me, I don’t share your concern. I see stuff like this on Lefty blogs pretty much daily. Its who they are. Friggin’ camp guards in training. I’d just as soon they weren’t running the damn country.

  22. “Would Jesus encourage people to kill themselves?”
    !Christoph
To start, Christoph you are a twit.*
Jesus-(the JESUS=God) already knew who is a waste of skin.
Let’s face it Christoph, jesus is just a lame bit of pseudo intellectual leverage for you.
The real question is: Would Jesus like it if Miss “I wouldn’t bone her with your bone” was using her future spawn as poker chips to influence impressionable but politically naive women to vote for the Communist parties that favour ABORTION?-well you get the drift.
Is that what you’re about Christoph?
Murdering children and making non-specific apologies for “women with sore Ovaries”?
wink wink nudge nudge-i’ll swallow your soul
    *may God forgive me 🙂

  23. If Richard agrees, I would be happy to leave a message once a month or so…
Hmmm…I think the Pope should be killed too…
But, really if you’re all so bored, I’d be happy to spice things up.
Aaah…I just figured out what all of you are complaining about with regards to the spelling of ovaries as “overaries;” Evans Photoshopped that in.

  24. “Polly Jones” (not “Joanna” as I thought?), the message you left on Richard’s answering machine was disturbing and serious. I don’t know whether the Crown will find out about it or not in order to decide whether to press charges (that’s their decision, not Richard’s, in theory)… but if you’d left that message on my machine, you would have a criminal record, guaranteed.

  25. Christoph,BTW,what a pretentious name.I would never,ever counsel one to commit suicide.Life is sacred,even yours.But if you ever do,don’t put a gun to your head,aim for a vital organ.

  26. “For your part, you appear to be neither a conservative nor a Christian of any sort anyway, so I fail to see the reason for your ‘concern’.”

    I’m conservative yes, Christian no.
It is a conservative value to support respect for the law, especially in public. It’s important to civilization.
It is also Christian value — although I’m not a Christian — to value life and to oppose calls for both murder and suicide. So perhaps you need to work on your definition of conservatism.
As for lefties of “Polly Jones’ ” ilk being vicious, camp guards in training, etc., I agree.

  27. While I do not disagree with your thesis OMMAG, perhaps this is closer to the truth.
Overaries + Grad Student = womyns studies.

  28. As for lefties of “Polly Jones’ ” ilk being vicious, camp guards in training, etc., I agree.

“EVERYBODY shut up about the coalition. Somebody take a gun and shoot Harper. Maybe then I’ll believe that your cause is more than a hunk of butter.”
Well Christoph, are you more than a mouthpiece when it comes to oreserving human life?
More than a hunk of butter?
Guns or butter chilluns it’s time to choose?

  29. Oz, what you said doesn’t make any sense. Grammatically. Put it in English and I may reply.

  30. The pics (shown below) stay. The original has been altered enough in a manner (satire) that copyright is no longer an issue.
I don’t know wth you get that idea, the original works maintain copyright no matter how much you alter them. It’s intellectual property, but there is the issue of ownership and that generally takes court action to resolve. After that, there is also fair use. BUT there is NO SUCH THING as altering an original work so much that it nullifies the original copyright.

  31. when it comes to observing human life?
    (sorry I’ve been typing poorly)
Looks to me like you’re on the side of the “my ovaries Hurt” girl who probably believes in the right to choose ABORTION after failing to choose abstention or commitment.
I’m replying to you on e-mail but haven’t composed what I want to say. (I’ve been reading your stuff on Ace for a few months now.)
P.S. her ovaries hurt because they have a mind of their own and don’t want her to be a mother.
(insha allah)or the Sons of Adam and Daughters of Eve think she’s being politically trite and using the future to leverage the past.

  32. I don’t know wth you get that idea, the original works maintain copyright no matter how much you alter them.
Bear, are you telling me that if I alter every pixel in a digital image, save for one, that the original copyright still applies? If you say “yes”, you’re a liar…
Someone look outside. Is there a full moon tonight?

  33. I’m on the side of the law, Oz. By strange coincidence, I’m also on the side of the Catholic church: we oppose abortion, calls for murder, and calls for suicide.
