Liberals = Liars, cheaters, thieves and whiners
I wonder if this Martin Eisenstadt is also responsible for that “Obama said there are 57 states” bit? I never did believe that someone running for president of the U.S. could ever say something so stupid.
By the by, who bloody care’s if she didn’t know whether or not Africa was a country or continent?
Isn’t everyone in the world telling the US to butt out of their affairs? Save for the money of course.
It’s about time the western counties forget about Africa and declare it a global sanctuary “No go zone”. We’ll look in on it in 200 years after the dust and smoke settles to find a unique “Jurassic Park” or balanced ecosystem, with quaint tribesman devoid of aids and computers to hack into your bank accounts.
Oh well, the damage has been done. I’m looking forward to 2012 and our lessons have been learned.
How sweet it is! Proof that liberlism is a disease. Go Sarah. Palin 2012
Remember the CBC special from a few years ago when Rick Mercer was Talking with Americans?
George W thought that the name of the Canadian Prime Minister was Jean Poutine.
The Governor of Louisiana believed that we had a National Igloo.
LOL

it slowly became apparent that her grasp of basic geo-political knowledge had major gaps. Could she have passed a multiple choice test about South Africa or NAFTA. Probably. But it was clear that she simply didn’t have the ease of knowledge that we come to expect from a major party political candidate.
I knew the truth would come out. How could it not? She’s had a spell of Protection +2 vs. Witches applied to her.
We all saw the interviews. She’s an idiot, and she’s a nutbar. Back to Alaska, weirdo. Try and get some sun, or take some extra Vitamin D.

I just watched a segment on YouTube and it was Governor Mike Huckabee of Arkansas who congratulated Canadians on the opening of their National Igloo.
The Governor of Iowa congratulated Canadians on switching to the 24 hours a day clock.

Sounds to me like someone down there is very afraid of Sarah Palin and 2012.

Hey Duh-non how many states are there and it has been revealed that liberals are pro peophiles. Yuck!
Don’t even have to go to the LA Times to find it. Simply google obama 57 states. The video is the first link. I wonder how deep into folk lore it would be if it was GWB that had misspoken like Barry did?
Guess ol Barry is jess dumb eh?
Or Biden, electing FDR four years early so he could get on TV and explain everything about the stock market crassh of 1929 to the American people. TV? 1929? Why was FDR talking about the crash to a few engineers and techs in labs across the world who had the only TVs in 1929?
Actually, we didn’t see all the interviews. Hours of footage ended up on the cutting room floor, as it always does.
Even a child knows you can edit segments to make your subject look bad or good.

One in four Canadians think that D-Day marks the dropping of the first A-bomb. One in four Canadians could not identify Germany as a former enemy combatant. Wait, I’m sure there’s a Rick Mercer special here somewhere,LOL.
As for “SourceWatch”, that organization really isn’t an authority on anything. People who rely on it should google it and find out who it really is. SourceWatch is often used by AGW alarmists as some kind of authoratitive information source. It is a joke, really.
As an example, try this http://www.activistcash.com/organization_overview.cfm/oid/12
SourceWatch is an extension of the high sounding “Center for Media & Democracy” (CMD). (CMD) is a counterculture public relations effort disguised as an independent media organization. CMD isn’t really a center it would be more accurate to call it a partnership, since it is essentially a two-person operation. Sheldon Rampton and John Stauber operate, as do most self-anointed progressive watchdogs, from the presumption that any communication issued from a corporate headquarters must be viewed with a jaundiced eye.”

I can’t comment on how ridiculous that sounds, but I’d venture a guess that at least 1/4 of Conservatives not only believe in an imaginary sky daddy, but also have absolutely NO understanding of basic science.
Yep, you guys are largely idiots.

Believe me when I tell you: NO ONE on the left is afraid of Sarah Palin. She’s the gift that keeps on giving.
If there were a God, I would be praying that he blesses us with her dumbassitude for the next DOZEN election cycles. I would pray fervently that the GOP nominated her over, and over, and over again. I would be prostrate, begging for her chronic return, for the sake of all comedians and left-leaning people everywhere.
I might actually begin to feel sorry for her, were it not for the fact that she is entirely oblivious to her stupendous overconfidence, and totally delusional about her actual capabilities.

I just realized something from my last sentence: She is THE FACE of the Republican Party, and to a lesser extent, the current incarnation of the conservative movement. She is the poster child for everything that is wrong with it. She’s probably Kate’s role model, is what I’m driving at.

Hey Neil D. try the part when Pres Bush came too Halifax and asked “To meet the sage Canadian leader he was grateful for his strong support? Could someone please point out Jean Poutine in the room?” Or how he “Thanked all the Canadians standing on the side of the road waving as my motorcade drove by, especially those who waved all five fingers”
Didn’t get that part did you. He was in on the joke, apparently you are not.
Danon. You are incorrect. The gift that keeps on giving will be and always has been Joe Biden. Truly a 20 watt bulb at best.
Hey danon – you like strawman arguments and argument by innuendo?
Try argument by counterexample (a valid mathematical tool for demolishing hypotheses):
Multiple degrees: Scientist, academic, 40+ refereed publications (includes Science, Physical Review Letters, IEEE…), patents, grad students…I’ve a fairly clear understanding of “science”. It’s not what the popular press makes it out to be.
Oh, and the “sky daddy” thingy? More rationale people would use the term “heavenly father”. Admittedly, it’s slightly more considerate than the “flying spaghetti monster” of your more rabid brethren, but only in degree, not in kind.
So, sticking to the topic, idiocy is merely a matter of not allotting sufficient time to assess all relevant evidence. In the case of the Palin smears, most of us realized that the election campaign never stopped, and weighed the data with a jaundiced eye. Keeping the rose-coloured glasses off, many of us view the rest of existence the same way and conclude, pace scripture, that it is a good thing Someone loves us or we would really screw up.
I spoke to a woman from Ontario one time that made think Rick Mercer went to the wrong place to make fun of people. She had no idea that western cities had local police. She thought it was all RCMP west of Ontario. She was very surprised to find out that cities like Saskatoon, Regina, Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver …you get the idea, had local police.
Talking to Americans indeed.

Danon is absolutely correct. Sarah Palin is indefensible.
Someone explain to me how she can address tax policy if she has not thoroughly imbibed The Second Sex by Simone de Beauvoir! How can she exist!
How can she possibly address our cultural conflicts with al Qaeda if she cannot explain to us why Ann Sexton committed suicide! Has she not read Sexton’s letters?
Does she not understand Dionysian dispair? Has she not read No Exit by Jean-Paul Sartre?
I demand she whistle several bars of Scriabin.
Can a human being possibly address the subtleties of America’s racial divide if she cannot explain the relationship between T.S. Elliot’s The Wasteland and La Belle Dame Sans Merci? (My God! Don’t you know Keats?!?)
No! No! No! No! No! No! No! No!
Danon is completly correct.
Wouldn’t be too surprised that a lot of people in the US don’t know whether Saskatchewan is hotel, a river, a mountain or . . .

WANTED: Great spin doctors … experience in Canada or the UK preferred … needed now!!! Great crew … recently pulled off a Presidential election. Must be able to sell “hope” and “change”.

The media missed something else about the Big 0, this messah (intentional spelling) claims that his grandmother lived through TWO World Wars and the Great Depression. She was born in 1923. Was the great one’s grandma a time traveler? Is time travel another ‘gift’ of the dear leader; it seems he was born on two different continants (not countries, to clarify) on the same day in the same year! Things to know about America’s new first fella.
“guesstimated statistic” Huh???
We’re going to have to dumb down for this one.
Danon, the more you write, the stupider you get. Arrogance is not a substitute for intellect. you’re currently way in “above your pay grade”. You do know, of course, that 25% of Canadians who see themselves as liberal believe Stephane Dion is the illegitimate son of Pierre Trudeau and Barbara Striesand, right?
Don’t forget that last May on Memorial Day, Obama also told us how his Uncle liberated the Jews at Auschwitz.
Was his Uncle in the Russian military?
He was soon told not to leave home without two teleprompters.
The leftie media has zero cred. Their trash-fest against Sara Palin is disgusting. Lies and more lies.
The reason Obama is so happy is he thinks he will be President of 58 States. At least he knows the President of Canada is a good guy.
At least Paul Martin knew what D-Day was . . . the invasion of Norway !
Let’s put Cruton back in Jerusalem . . he’d be lost forever.
Is this the same guy who made that extremely convincing Youtube of Obama’s visit to “New Pennsylvania?” Was he the one who put the “ten thousand deaths” due to a tornado into Obama’s mouth? What a Svengali, I say.
Danon, Pretty funny stuff from a supporter of a man whose only qualification for office is a great voice (credit where it is due) and good looks, with zero actual accomplishments. Talk about unjustified self confidence. Usually, I give a new president a chance. Not so with this lying twit. He has already told so many lies during the campaign that he has burned up the trust he could have used to lead.
Greg in Dallas,
One point that I want to make is that I thought that Palin’s comparison of the relationship between de Beauvoir and Sartre with that of Canada and the US was quite apt. This insight allowed her to successfully negotiate the long awaited pipeline deal to get oil and gas moving from Alaska.
“What field are you in, by the way? Perhaps I’ve read something.”
danon
Cause in danons field there’s this suspicious “Call before you dig” sign he’s been taking “extra Vitamin D.” over.
With all the factual examples written here by left and right supporters about how bad the knowledge many of our leaders and wannabe leaders have with some basic facts, regardless of how important each would have on their abilities to lead; it mirrors how illiterate the electorate must be in comparison.
It is breathtaking how ignorant of things that matter our democracies have become. Our culture is infested with junk. It’s all entertainment 24/7 and I’m not talking reading a good book here.
Junk everywhere (Examples):
-Science: Global warming/climate change and their technology spin off: Wind mills, biofuel, electric cars, Suzuki lightbulbs
-Health: Organic food myths
-Cult of personnality/Idol worshipping
-Political correctness stiffling debate
-Media (All encompassing/promoting the above)
No wonder an unknown with a shady past won the title as most powerful man on earth.
It’s a reflection of our times and a sign that the end of democracy and freedom is nigh.
If anybody believes this hoax was caused by one group or identity are grasping at straws.
At last! A ray of light in this otherwise swamp of Neanderthal sentiment.
Wallyj, brilliantly stated.
Cconn, naturally you are entirely correct. Without the comparison of Canada and America with de Beauvoir and Sartre, the oil deal would not possibly have come into fruition.
Despite this, I think we must look truth very much in the face. A close and dispassionate examination of the facts leads us invariably to the truth.
Palin has not spent the necessary time with The Second Sex by Simone de Beauvoir. How can we suppose her philosophy revolves around de Beauvoir’s virtues and still have all those children through heterosexual congress?
Has she not grasped the concept of woman as “other”?
No, no, no, no, no, no, no! No! No!
Clearly Palin’s petit bourgeois understanding of The Second Sex causes her to imagine she could be Vice President and still surreptitiously involve herself in heterosexual relationship in such extreme degree that children would be forthcoming.
My God, man, the woman doesn’t have a girlfriend.
Perhaps she should consider constructing a scale of values, like Jean Genet. At least then we would know that her decisions were based on the firm foundation of philosophical certainty.

If anybody believes this hoax was caused by one group or identity are grasping at straws.
danon,
FYI…
