  1. The best part of all this is seeing all the lefties turn on the Clintons, you could hardly utter a bad word about them -then Zing they are the enemy.

  2. I think a vigorous battle between two equally matched contestants is good for democracy. The bad news is that by the time they’re done, they may be too battered and bruised to take on their real opponent, McCain.
There may be some unfortunate ramifications to this. In the future, the Dems and Reps might find ways to crown a winner early, for example by exerting extreme pressure on candidates to drop out earlier than they might wish. The result might be a less-than-optimum choice.
Perhaps a better solution is not allow the primaries to run on for 5 months, and have the conventions earlier in the year.

  3. I just hope the first family member kidnapped by Obama is Bill Clinton. That’ll be a great service to his country.
Like many, many Americans, I just want the Clintons to go away ………. forever.

  4. Nah, somehow I see Hillary standing over Michelle Obama tied up in a chair, holding a cat of nine tails in a dark room with one light shining on Michelle. But before you now it, Michelle is free and a cat fight ensues and Hillary has her in a headlock and eventually Michelle yells out “it isn’t fair, this isn’t the kind of American I was promised” and Hillary says back “suck it up limousine liberal beeyatch.”

Two equally poor contestants is the problem for the Dem’s. They’re so caught up in “Hollywood” style politics they failed to choose a candidate with any substance, credibility or experience. They have chosen to bet the house on unproven commodities, those commodities are the African American voting block and the youth voting block.
Your analysis is wrong, the Republicans will continue to put the absolute best candidate forward as they have done.(I initially was a Thompson guy, but I now see the wisdom of the electorate) And the Dem’s will HAVE to learn from their mistakes this year if they are to have any hope of gaining the Whitehouse next decade. This has been good for democracy, it has exposed the MSM and the aforementioned “Hollywood” style politics. No pain no gain.

  6. Rabbit,
The parties have tried that with “Super tuesday” and front end loading og primaries. Then Florida nad Michigan wanted in on the early game against the wishes of the Party so their primaries don’t count (at this point).
I am still curious to see how the Democrats justify not letting those two large states not have their delegates count. Ithought it was only GW Bush and his lackeys on the Supreme Court who steal votes from Florida voters.
there may be no snow left in the Rockies come the summer, but it is looking more and more that there will be blood (metaphorically speaking) on the streets in Denver.
Of all this works fine for me. I can only HOPE they beat the crap out of one another and for the first time in two decades we have a CHANGE from either a Bush or a Clinton.

  7. Hillary is a consumate political junkie, who cant seem to run a campaign by the way. She is a master tactician and very smart…sounds like Paul Martin.
Obama’s lofty rhetoric bothers me less than some, remeber a POTUS is also head of state, and if you cant expect lofty rhetoric from a head of state who can you expect it from. Yes there are troubling indications about potential policy directions, but the genius of the founders is checks and balances, he will be contained.
Hillary must be slain, those who think that this means an easy time for McCain, think again. She will fight tooth and freaking nail. The twofer must be kept out of the White House. Strangle her candidacy now and at least that nightmare is gone….if she loses she wont win in 4 years either.
I would rather see an election between Obama and McCain….I worry less about the potential result.

  8. This reminds me of the story (of which my memory is vague on details) of the battle in Iraq where the local militias were fighting the foreign terrorists and the Yanks and Iraqi military were sitting back watching them kill each other.
In this case, McCain is sitting back with a bourbon and cigar enjoying the carnage.
By the actual election, whoever wins the Dem nomination will be so ruined (and possibly broke) they won’t have a chance against McCain.

  9. Just a quick refresher course lest we forget what has happened to many “friends” of the Clintons .

I think both candidates are reasonably, if not excessively, experienced. Obama’s platform, though, lacks substance.
    KenAinCGY:
Front-end loading isn’t enough. If it’s a close race then heavy campaigning will continue right through to till June, and maybe till the convention. I say get all primaries over by March, and have the convention around July 4th.
As it is now, the primaries are a death march for the Democratic candidates.

  11. The Democrats have caused their own problems by instituting a process of proportioning delegates. The Republicans use a “winner-takes-all” approach that wraps things up pretty quickly. Look how fast early favourites like Giuliani and Romney were forced out.

  12. I listened to Obama’s speech last night. Again he professes that Washington will be changed upon his arrival. Although his oratory skills are impressive, I wonder how many times the American public have heard that same old line, over and over throughout the decades and it seems many are buying it hook, line and sinker. Nothing changes really, just the names on the doors. Grown ups should know that by now.
As for the Dems, in this campaign, well they’ll eat their own. Count on it. Even Move On and the KOS kiddies are starting to devour their own offspring. So surprised. McCain, so glad.

  13. Sounder ….. Your right about grown ups.
Now can you find some ?
BTW – after Hillarious’ whiskey with a beer chaser photo-op she rose to the highest level of esteem I have ever had for her…. that’d be just slightly above rancid pond scum.
My prediction … Obamarama has this thing locked.
Knows his audience the best and delivers exactly the kind of meaningless platitudes that soothe their fevered minds.
Also, in the game / business of identity politics Race TRUMPS Gender !

  14. “I think both candidates are reasonably, if not excessively, experienced. Obama’s platform, though, lacks substance.”
Expirience is a subjective term. In this case the subjectiveness becomes a comparison. In this particular election both of the Dem canidates are “expirience midgits” compaired to their counter part. The only expirience advantage the Dems have over McCain is the expirience of being either black or a woman. Is this what you speak of?

  15. Bob, perusing Hil’s track record, one wonders why she continually fails to jerk the jerk’s leash. Or at least hire someone to run him off the road. Surely some of her posse are still living.

  16. I the vein of Klinton Konspiracy ……
If Billary Fails ….. they owe so much to so many.
Could One or both end up very much like Jimmy Hoffa?

  17. OMMAG, they wouldn’t be assassinated per se, but look for a horrible tragedy like an airplane crash, automobile accident that can cover up such a plot. Isn’t that what they did to Paul Wellstone? Is that a black helicopter I see!!!!!!!
    /Screw-Loose-Change Leftard

  18. Bob,
Great list of deaths in the Clinton circle. I had no idea.
It appears that when you deal with the Clintons you forfeit you chance of death by natural causes. Really interesting.
However, I would give them a pass on all of this if they would just add Barry Hussein to that list as soon as possible. That man is the anti Christ and I put him in the same league with Maurice Strong as an example of evil personified.
    What a circus.

  19. Jon:
Almost everyone’s inexperienced compared to McCain. But experience doesn’t have to be subjective – it can be objectively measured.
Clinton has been a senator for 8 years, plus considerable political involvement before then. Obama has held office at the state and federal level for 12 years.
That isn’t a massive amount of experience when running for president, but it’s hardly inexperienced either.

  20. Bob,
Fascinating list on the Clinton’s. Where did you get that information? Is there a book available?
I heard Jennifer Flowers on a radio interview say that she recorded her phone conversations with Bill because she feared being assassinated.

  21. Frankly, if I were voting in the US election, I’d vote for neither. Obama is not someone who appears to have anything of substance to offer, platitudes can be spouted by anyone. Hillary is desperate and desperate people make promises they can’t keep. Hillary also has Bill who could prove to be her Albatross OR her Saviour.
At this point, the Republicans have the best chance of returning to the White House.

  22. Trent: Just type “Clinton murders” into google. I personally think the Clintons are beasts, and I do think they come as a pair.

  23. Hilldebeast has missed the obvious tactic of claiming to be black. Why not? She has lied about everything else. That would seal the deal for her.

  24. Google
Tragedy claims life of publishing luminary

  25. Shaken … apparently you missed Hillary’s performance at an Alabama ( I think it was bamma) fund raiser last year. Slurring her speech in an affected imitation of a southern drawl to an all black audience. She sounded like an inbred half wit with a bad speech impediment or like she’d just had a stroke!

  26. There are actually writers on the left of the political spectrum capable of the kind of sharp commentary we expect of a Steyn on the right.
Among them: Christopher Hitchens and Camille Paglia.
For a hard, visceral look at Hillary Clinton, read this by Paglia from the (UK) Telegraph newspaper:
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2008/04/19/wuspols219.xml
It slams Hillary pretty thoroughly. Worse, I have the sneaking suspicion that every word of it is true.

  27. rabbit – Obama has been in the Senate 2 paltry years where he has a nothing of a distinguished record other than consistently voting more left than Teddy Kennedy. His time in the Illinois legislature counts for nothing – Chicago where he was elected from being one of the most politically corrupt cities in the US.
The Democrats like their lefty media syncophants would rather fall on their ideological swords – never in synch with the grass roots voters – than put up a candidate that is electable. They have a serial liar whose baggage could fill a freight train and an elitist racist who thinks the color of his skin gives him permissions. It didn’t work out for him in Pennsylvania. You can’t get to the WH without those key states.

  28. That’s a pretty impressive list of murders to be chalked up to the Clintons!
Yet it pales beside the 4000 (and counting) Bush has had murdered for oil and war profiteering, doesn’t it?

  29. This is all good fun now, and I think it a useful exercise to raid the Obama closet for skeletons (Clinton’s skeletons are all well known). But come Septemeber McCain will be the candidate taking the beating from the fair and balanced journalists, this is just the way it goes. Personally I’d be happy if the Democrats would dump both Obama and Clinton and take McCain as their candidate, that would leave the Republicans open to finding a real conservative.

  30. Best on topic comment ever:
    What a circus.

Does anybody really think the dems will win? Really?
    It’s so silly, where’s Vity?
    Steve

  31. Penny:
You appear to think I am endorsing Obama. I am not. I am simply pointing out that 12 years in office is not “inexperienced”.

  32. Both Dem candidates “experience” list is rather thin at best. Not too many meaningful legislation pieces between the two of them. That is unless you count earmarks for personal pet projects.
Being the spouse of a president makes one no more presidential material than being the spouse of the Governor-General. Oh, wait….

  33. Obama psycho-analyzed people in small towns in Pennsylvania and the Midwest heartland to a private limousine-liberal crowd at a San Francisco fundraiser, explaining that ( http://tinyurl.com/57r3nv ) :
“it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations”
Even if the “Clingons” weren’t “bitter” before Obama made his condescending comments about them, they sure were afterwards. John Fund at the WSJ reported that ( http://tinyurl.com/6r5vbx ):
“Mr. Obama lost weekly churchgoers (who made up over a third of Pennsylvania voters) by a clear 58% to 42% margin.”
“Pennsylvania gun owners turned thumbs down on Mr. Obama by 62% to 38%.”
“Ten percent of Democrats said they would sit on their hands in a McCain-Obama race, and 15% said they would vote for McCain over the Illinois senator.”
Obama locked up his delegate advantage early in the primaries, when his messianic message of “hope” and “change” was still being swallowed, when people were still mysteriously “fainting” at his rallies. This all happened:
    a. before his 20-year pastor Rev Wright’s anti-American views became known (“God damn America!” etc.)
    b. before Michelle Obama called America “mean”
    c. before Obama ridiculed small-town American values
    d. before it became known he was “friendly” with the unrepentant terrorist William Ayers, whom Obama has yet to renounce ( http://tinyurl.com/5pfna2 )
If he wins the Democratic nomination, The Tofu Messiah will lose The Battle of the Clingons in November, and the general election as well.
