1. It appears this one would be in the shade all the time. And would be kept slightly warmer in the winter, due to its’ proximity to the house.

3. The science is settled in my backyard, that is for sure. A few things I know to be true.
   1. It is almost the end of March, there is 3 feet of snow in my backyard, and the thermometer read -10C at 0700 today.
   2. Working in the ice cream business, I have noticed a disturbing pattern emerge. My customers are opening their dairy bars later in the spring, and closing them earlier in the fall.
   No political statement there, just pure business!
   And, now the commie jerkwads are demanding that I have to pay more in energy costs for my rental properties( I will just pass them on to the low income tenants who can least afford it)and for transportation, based on a specious theory at best.

4. There are significant problems with the location a lot of the temperature gauges that NOAA uses to collect its official data. This web site: http://www.surfacestations.org/ has been detailing them for some time now. Gauges have been found next to asphalt parking lots, beneath air condtioner exhausts, and in many other places guaranteed to deliver false high readings. Many thermometers that were once well-situated in the countryside have, over time, been surrounded by urban sprawl yet they are still used as official data sources.
   Comparisons between properly sited gauges in the same general are as those that are improperly sited show those properly located deliver readings over the long term that are consistently cooler than those near heat sources — no surprise there.
   It does make one wonder how much poorly-sited thermometers may have contributed to the whole global warming scam.

5. It’s a tax grab scheme and there’s nothing ‘neutral’ about it.
   Politicians who vote for a carbon tax will not get mine.
   The argument goes that people who drive SUV’s should pay more – they already do! Their argument only makes sense if all people were paying 50 bucks a week for gas and the poor were driving econo boxes and the rich SUV’s. The real issue is they don’t want individual success, they don’t want people who have done well do have the ability to even buy an SUV.

Suzuker and Gore wouldn’t know a thing about the climate if they were not filling their bank accounts on stupid people . 13. Well, somebody believes the measurements. Homes in adjacent Kansas are going to go dark one day because “…Bremby said the state can’t ignore the dangers of climate change.”
    (Note that he is worried about *climate change*, not *global warming*. So, if the change in climate is colder, instead of warmer, somebody is going to freeze, in the dark.)

    TOPEKA, Kan. — Gov. Kathleen Sebelius vetoed a bill Friday that would allow two coal-fired power plants in southwest Kansas and strip some power from the regulator who has blocked them.
    Legislators who support the bill have been working for weeks to build the two-thirds majorities they need in both chambers to override Sebelius’ veto, which had been expected.
    “Of all the duties and responsibilities entrusted to me as governor, none is greater than my obligation to protect the health and well-being of the people of Kansas,” Sebelius said in her veto message.
    The bill is a response to a decision in October the health and environment secretary, Rod Bremby, to deny an air-quality permit to Sunflower Electric Power Corp. for the two coal-fired plants outside Holcomb, in Finney County. The $3.6 billion project has bipartisan legislative support.
    Bremby rejected the permit because of the plants’ potential carbon dioxide emissions. Many scientists link CO2 to global warming, and Bremby said the state can’t ignore the dangers of climate change.
    Many legislators, including some of Sebelius’ fellow Democrats, saw Bremby’s decision as arbitrary because the state has no rules on CO2 emissions. They argued the decision made Kansas less business-friendly and made future power shortages more likely.
