Best Canadian Blog
2004 - 2007
Why this blog?
Until this moment I have been forced to listen while media and politicians alike have told me "what Canadians think". In all that time they never once asked.
This is just the voice of an ordinary Canadian yelling back at the radio -
"You don't speak for me."

Hey, she’s covering all the basics. She’ll probably win.
Meet the next POTUS. Americans are tired of leaders with principles, because principles always make at least one side angry, and take too much work and time to live by.
You get the feeling that Russert talked to the beeatch back stage, and based on that impression decided she’s dangerously stupid and needs to go DOWN.
Like a sack of wet sand, baby. Go Tim!
Please, if there really is a God, make sure this waffling sociopath NEVER gets to be POTUS.
Remember Bill Clinton’s press agent, on his lying;” President Clinton doesn’t lie, it’s just that his truth today may differ from his truth tomorrow”.
Hilary’s no different. The US needs another Clinton Presidency like Canada needs another Trudeau PM.
I actually like Hillary. Sure, she is a crook (see Cattle Futures) but aren’t they all?
The Democrats will destroy Hil-dog in the primary long before the Republicans even get a chance.
regardless of your feelings on HRC this is an ad that is to be appreciated by all those who follow political advertising. Well made and devestating. If there is a follow up to this ad, i.e. if Hillary gives them the ammo, then she just roasted herself over a fire of her own making.
Wouldnt want to be Bill after that. If there wasnt any before there certainly wont be any after.
And this one
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t1c10kwZWL4
The Internet will make the world a better place !!
Stephen …she is only roasted if enough voters decide she is. Why is the Hill-Billy ahead in polls?
This is a very well done ‘ad’.Unfortunately there are enough voters with their minds made up, don’t confuse them with the facts or issues.
Don’t forget the media has it’s mind made up too.
Proof? The recent Ontario so-called election.
campaigns matter….if there continues to be material to keep making ads like this one….Hill is in trouble.
Ontario…thats a whole other story, but proof again that campaigns, especially bad campaigns, matter.
If Hillary loses Iowa, look out.
I’d love to see an ad like this directed at either Dion or Layton, The idea of a political leader actually having “principals” that don’t bend in the poll winds like Mr. Dithers did must be very frighting for what’s left as leadership in Canada.
I do not like Hillary Clinton one bit. However, I I think globalist elites have perhaps already anointed her as the next President. I don’t know who the Republican nominee will be but I don’t think it will matter. Ron Paul will likely be a third party candidate running against the Republican and the Democrat – He has too many dedicated grassroots volunteers who will not go quietly into the night.
This ad works for people who don’t like Clinton (ie. almost everybody who reads this blog). It doesn’t work for others.
BTW, the music in the background is irritating and unnecessary.
“The Democrats will destroy Hil-dog in the primary long before the Republicans even get a chance”
Sorry, trent, but you’re wrong.
HC had several such goofs in the democratic debate the other night, & the other candidates merely mouthed a few worthless platitudes, and let her off the hook. It’s almost as if they’re not interested in running for President, but merely VP.
Also, the MSM are giving here more latitude than could ever be expected on gaffes such as this; after she blew the answer on the NY governor allowing drivers licenses for illegal immigrants (thereby granting them voting cards, and a huge supply of future votes for the dems), one of the MSM soundbytes lamented that her “prep book had let her down on this question”. Got that? It was the book’s fault, not hillary’s.
*sigh*
The trifling bit of interest the MSM has shown in hillary’s inconsistencies will soon fade away into nothing, once the Repubs field their final choice for candidate; then the MSM will help the hillary smear machine paint this person in as black as light as possible. Wait and see.
Rudy Giuliani summed it best [paraphrased]: “She’s never governed a state, never managed a business, met a payroll, never been responsible for the lives and safety of thousands, let alone millions. The office of the President of the United States shouldn’t be an intern’s job”.
Seriously, as a Canuck, I worry more about this election than any upcoming CPC/Liberal election. Ours will simply chart out Canada’s course; the 2008 election will help shape the future of the West. To the last imam, all the mid-east whackos are solidly behind the democrats (even to the
point of swiping their soundbytes in Osama’s latest tape). Oddly, the democrats haven’t taken extreme offense to have their enemies embracing the party’s lines.

Can’t wait to watch Meet the Press tomorrow. Will Hillory boycott Tim, or the other way around. I think it is the swing voters those ads are after.
How’s that, August1991? The woman contradicts herself on each major issue, the most important issues, in each frame. It cost John “I voted for, before I voted against” Kerry the election. That worked for me.
I’m not a mindless syncophant or someone that doesn’t expect principed consistency from a presidentual candidate so it works for me.
She learned from the best.
Or should I say, the best learned from her.
Blithe Hillary
Hillary Clinton: Eleanor, I’m very concerned about these contradictions that have been displayed in the media.
Eleanor Roosevelt: Tut, tut, my dear. Believe me, we’ve been through tougher times than this, and we’ve brassed that out, haven’t we?
HC: I know you’re a wonderful advisor, Eleanor, but in today’s media these things are all recorded. People can see them replayed dozens of times, and there’s this damned Internet…
ER: Would you mind decanting a little of that sherry for me, dear?
HC: How can you drink sherry in spirit, Eleanor?
ER: It has to do with the opposite of apports and the transmigration of ectoplasm. Thank you so much. You know, we really can’t get this up here.
HC: I’ll lay in a supply. But about these contradictions…?
ER: Don’t worry, we’ll catch that Obama chap with his pants down, never you fear.
HC: Please, I wish you wouldn’t phrase it quite that way, Eleanor…
ER: I’m so sorry, my dear. I’m afraid I was a bit insensitive to your situation. How is dear Bill?
HC: As randy as ever. I was hoping that age would dampen it, but now there’s this damned Viagra.
ER: Don’t worry about a thing. We have a plan to phase out men altogether, operating through the UN.
HC: The contradictions, Eleanor, remember?
ER: We’ll come up with something. You followed my advice in the pretty pink dress, remember? And that worked out just fine.
Americans are tired of leaders with principles, because principles always make at least one side angry, and take too much work and time to live by.
Think so? Based on what factual evidence? That’s a nice smug swipe at Americans who are anything but your description based on their history.
Kinda like a trailer for a horror movie.
What to call it? “American Psycho”? “Hellbound Hellraiser”? “Don’t Vote for Hillary”?
Bill Clinton’s impeachment was a real blow to her.
I personally feel strongly about this although I personally don’t have a position. This is rather like the “variable absolutes” in this piece of Australian propaganda aboyut Kevin Rudd, likely new PM of Oz. He’;s certqinly from teh land of Oz,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptccZze7VxQ
Clever principal of “Variable Absolutes” allows great thinkers being for and against at same time.
Good videos both.
I fondly remember the movie “Best Little Whorehouse in Texas”. One of the best parts of that movie is when Charles Durning, who plays the Govenor of Texas is being pressed into keeping the “Chicken Ranch” open. Of course he is going to do what the polls tell him so in the meantime he sings and dances to “A Little Side-step”. Get this on a sound board. It is hilarious!
“She’s never governed a state, never managed a business, met a payroll, never been responsible for the lives and safety of thousands, let alone millions. The office of the President of the United States shouldn’t be an intern’s job”
And the only reason anyone knows her name is that she was once FLOTUS.
This link explains POTUS, FLOTUS, SCOTUS etc, and has a preview feature so you can tell where it’s coming from: http://preview.tinyurl.com/3xe2ly
Read the last paragraph for a laugh.
[Some people post non-preview “short URLs” here and you never know where they might lead to.]
a different election, but this is just a start to get a few more bulldozers lined up

imagine the outrage at CBCpravda if it were here or the USA
“Americans are tired of leaders with principles, because principles always make at least one side angry, and take too much work and time to live by.”
“Think so? Based on what factual evidence? That’s a nice smug swipe at Americans who are anything but your description based on their history.”
Based on the FACT that Americans produce leadership candidates like Hillary Clinton I’d say Penny!
And just so when you reply that Canadians produce they Likes of Dion or Laytoon …. No Argument!
penny, much like canada, about half of americans are prepared to vote for people who have no princples.
This is a great example of a candidate being too smart for the electorate. I wish there were more politicians like her
